Today Is Lockdown Deadline, yet No Statement From The FG by seborrhic: 7:59pm On Apr 12, 2020
Today will be the last day of the 14days lockdown period in Lagos,Abuja and Ogun state, yet there is no statement by the same FG or specifically the president whether the lockdown has been extended or ended.
This uncertainty would make it a free for all tomorrow:people would go out, assuming the lockdown has ended and the law enforcement agents would on the other hand be apprehending commuters, transporters, traders, workers claiming the lockdown is still in force.

What statement are you looking for? The FG has already said the lockdown will continue until their advisers say otherwise. Update yourself first before finding fault

Ok.
Didn't interpret it that way.
What I read Buhari said was that it would last "as long as his advisers say so",but no statement yet on what he has been advised on.
Unless I either read or interpreted wrong.

So what is the target they are aiming for? Is it until the rate of the plague flatten out or what?
Just plain cluelessness masked with dictatorial tendencies. Too bad.

Today is day 13 and not the last day sir/ma. Lockdown started at 11pm on Monday 30 March 2020. It’ll be 14 days by 10:59 pm on Monday 13 April.

However, if no official announcement is made tomorrow, the lockdown will continue as Mr President’s last statement on subject infers continuation.

Government's all over the world are making the re-opening of their economies soonest as top a priority as the search for a treatment or vaccine or whichever comes first.
Even in the most affected of countries they are finding it difficult to keep citizens at home and know the longer the lockdown continues the higher that their citizens would disobey the lockdown.
The disobedience of the lockdown is not just a Nigerian thing.
It's the nature of every homo sapiens to go out for survival, even those whose goverments have provided sufficiently for them during the lockdown.

Nigeria economy cannot kick start without other World economies. For now, only those who are selling and providing essentials will make any meaningful money. If you are not in this category then I take it that the reason you want to leave home is to socialize and that is understandable.

I am not socializing anywhere.
I have also been proven now correct with this thread when I asserted that there was no categorical statement on the next line of action because it's just been announced by the state house that the president will make another broadcast today to state the government's next action as far as the lockdown is concerned.
