Buhari can change the narrative and use the former Anambra governor Peter Obi as chief of staff. Haven wouldn’t fall. See if we reclaim Africa from colonialism.

How about someone like Akinwumi Adesina? Must nepotism be number 1 in Nigeria?

Dr Akinwumi Adesina is a proven administrator. He would do better than all those people listed up there

Since we are listing profiles here, let me drop the profile of Akinwumi Adesina for those who do not know

* Akinwumi Adesina is the President of the African Development Bank

* He was Vice President of Policy and Partnerships for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA)

* He attended a village school in Oyo and went ahead to graduate with a Bachelors in Agricultural Economics with First Class Honors from the University of Ife, Nigeria (1981) (Note: A first class from OAU is no joke)

* He was the first student to be awarded this a first class in that department in OAU

* He has his masters from Purdue University in Indiana

* He has a PhD (Agricultural Economics) in 1988 from Purdue where he won the Outstanding PhD Thesis for his research work.

* He worked at the Rockefeller Foundation since winning a fellowship from the Foundation as a senior scientist

* His short time as Minister of Agriculture in Nigeria created the agricultural revolution we are enjoying today.

* He is the current President of the African Development Bank

I am tired of typing.

Buhari don't a technocrat or a professional. All they need is who will follow with utmost loyalty to the greed and agenda of Fulani.

Nepotism bawo? Did you check the meaning or just like to throw words?

1. Akinwunmi Adesina should jettison a country-contested position as President AFDB and come a vie for COS? Who (both country and individual) in his right senses does that?
2. You have forgotten that this same Akinwunmi Adesina not only enjoyed PMB's support to get to the position, he actually put Atiku on our Presidential Jet to go get South African (Africa's next strongest bloc) to vote for him.

Your information is not correct,Bubu supported another guy against adeshina.
Please don't let's distort facts.

Criteria for becoming the CoS to the president:

Who the president prefers - 90%

Credentials - 10%

For the credentials, I don't know much.

But if it is based on firmness, honesty, focus and standing up for the truth no matter whose ox is gored, Hamid Ali perfectly fits the socket.

If it is however on the basis of scholarship and experience, Adamu Adamu is the right peg.

Though las las, na who the president want, na him go be his CoS.

Migrating foreigners can cry blood, no one gives a flying fvck. cool

You are damn right Ali should remain for his criminology background so Adamu Adamu is my choice.

Oga, the position in question is that of the Chief of Staff to the President.

Above the qualifications and considerations, the occupier of that position must be someone who the president trusts absolutely.

If you ask me, I believe Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina's involvement with the administration of former President Jonathan didn't do him so well; his appointment as President of AfDB notwithstanding.

While he was Minister of Agriculture, all the Fertilizer Blending Plants in the country remained moribund. Nigeria continued her massive importation of staples, especially rice.

If we have to go by the records, one would not say that Dr. Adesina, without prejudice to his towering intellect and enviable pedigree, achieved substantially.

I like him as a person but I do not think he qualifies based on the track record of his stewardship to Nigeria while serving as Minister of Agriculture.

First, where are the phones they invested hugely to buy and distribute to farmers? What is the leverage of that investment in terms of improving
agricultural production, import reduction, trade balance, foreign exchange conservation and food security? May we get figures please?

I do not want to go into the cassava bread issue 'cos that was a landmark blight on his stewardship and the administration.

Buhari will give it to Adamu Adamu because he has been his speech writer for long and he knows Bubu very well, he understands his body language and he is a modest person. But again, all the men mentioned are currently employed except Kinjibe who has been on the reserves bench of the cabal in the villa. Then considering his age, he fits the age bracket of the typical cabal member. And he is very articulate too. But nothing will change for good regardless of who gets it. This is Nigeria.

Nairaland is full of political neophytes. Adeshina will never be the Chief of Staff under this administration. Simply because the position is zoned to the North East just like the vice presidency is zoned to the South West. Shikena.

that position can only be given to somebody the president trust or knows personally... This is COS, like a personal secretary to the president...if possible he will choose someone from his household for that post...this is why you shouldn't be surprise that those viable for the position are those he can trust and northerners...
