GOBIR SALUTES EMIR @ 80, SAYS HIS LIFE IS TRULY BLESSED A prominent son of Ilorin and the Waziri Hausa, Waziri Yakubu Gobir has congratulated His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari CFR, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Traditional Rulers, on his 80th Birthday Anniversary. Waziri Gobir said, we must continue to pray to Allah to grant our Emir sound health, prosperity and wisdom. There is no doubt that that our Emir's reign has brought peace and harmony to the Emirate. This is evidenced by the large number of people from various parts of Nigeria who now call Ilorin home. It has attracted tremendous investment and development to Ilorin and Kwara State in general. Maimartaba the Emir of Ilorin's 80th birthday is one that should have been celebrated with fanfare as he joins the Octogenarians club. However, due to the current scourge of the Covid 19 pandemic, the Emir has asked us all to join him in praying to Almighty Allah to forgive our sins, and heal the land.
