The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Tuesday berated the President Buhari-led federal government over moves to import herbal treatment from Madagascar.

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan in an interview with DAILY POST said the federal government failed to show leadership by opting to import COVID-19 cure from Madagascar.

Recall that the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 yesterday disclosed that President Muhammadu Buhari approved the importation of Madagascar’s COVID-19 cure.

Also, recall that the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire had confirmed that plants used in producing Madagascar’s COVID-19 cure can be found in Nigeria.

Ehanire explained that when the herbal drug arrives in Nigeria, it will be subjected to analysis by the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD).

However, Ologbondiyan said it is strange that the government would order the importation of COVID-19 cure when such herbs can be found in Nigeria.

According to Ologbondiyan: “Our party the PDP has always canvassed for homegrown approaches to the issue of COVID-19.

condemnation is their professions they have no solution.If you understand Buharis body languages the meaning is every Nigeria systems is corrupted to the extent that they( the Buhari government) believed in seen and buy. If money is given out to do medicine they will take it to build houses with many other things and reserve 10% of the money for Efcc's case which we last them more than 3 years and Covid 19 would have finished Nigerians before then.
