So, I got this phone earlier in the year but the phone has decided to frustrate me.

Downloading apps on it has been war. I have asked Google for a solution, Google seems to be out of solutions.

It would wait for download forever anytime I click on install app. I have checked my settings to be sure it's not on 'download on WiFi only'. I have tried subscribing on the lines in the phone as well.

I have also tried WiFi as well all to no download, solutions needed please.
EDIT: After going round in circles for weeks, I brought the problem here, what I did was long press the play store icon, it gave 2 options, my App info and My apps.

I clicked on My apps, I saw 3headings, 'Updates', 'Installed' and 'Library' .

Under 'Installed', I noticed that about two apps were trying to install asides the one I wanted to install at the same time, what I did was allow the app installing to complete installation, I stopped the second one from installing. I then clicked on install for the app I had been trying for weeks and it installed.

RECENT EDIT: I recently noticed when I post images, screenshots in short anything media, the image/video/texts looks blurry. Not like the phone's camera was that good but now it's worse. What could be the problem Make Una help me oh, Xiaomi dey carry me go where I no know.

I was thinking you're already tired of the device, make i waka my own jete jete before you use am face me.

Clear cache and increase the phone memory by deleting unwanted files.. Then use wifi or change another network(sim) for data and see..

it's network problem,ure network is not strong it's only 2.3kbs, ure network the phone is not overhyped

I am more particular about the weight and size, not a gadget freak, not even in this part of the world that your phone can go missing anytime.

The phone didn't get bigger and longer after you bought it. So this means, you bought it without basic research about it, and are now complaining of its pre-existing form. That's silly. Xiaomi has a line of phones of various sizes.

When you say Redmi 8 is overhyped, the obvious question is- overhyped compared to what phone and at what price point? I dare you to name any other brand's phone you know of that offers similar chipset and specs at the same price point of Redmi 8.

Inability to download apps on a Xiaomi phone or any phone at all is a very basic problem to have, but can one even trust you have done the probable things to resolve it when you blame Xiaomi for willingly purchasing their phone of a certain size? Smh.

I've experienced same issue,all the apps were working apart from playstore, I tried clearing cache it didn't work, but when I switched to the other sim it worked.

Very clean and mint condition
everything is in perfect condition and no single fault or issue.
The battery lasts till the next day on a single charge.
The camera (especially with gcam installed) takes outstanding pictures just like an iphone.

Thank you for admitting. The battery, specs, hidden screen etc was what made me buy. I had the option of Nokia 4.2 or this. It's good for the price but they need to work on making the devices portable.
