A job is one of the most difficult thing to get in Nigeria now. It's better to ask people for money than to ask them to get you a job.
I know wealthy people that own ships, but when you ask them to help you get a government job, they will show you tons of CV's of their own children and relatives in which they have not been able to assist.
Don't blame them only a few previledged people have genuine access to government jobs, and they are pretty difficult to come by.

Please don't loose hope. Keep pushing on. We will all get there very soon.

I actually have someone who follows our HOR, I gave him my CV and then he promised to get something out in the federal for me, this was since last year. Each time I call, he keeps telling me of how some persons whom he submitted the CV with mine got in
It got to a point I began to ask him for financial assistance too coz I got a teaching job with my state govt, and since October last year till now, we have not been paid (though some of us had been paid), it got to a fix late last month when my rent was to expire, I had already exhausted all my sources, he too wasn't forth coming, I had to post it here then, but I still couldn't meet up with the rent. My dear, I had to leave the house and went to my church for refuge, since then, I decided not to hala this my guy again...

But yesterday, he called again and requested i quickly send him my CV, I couldn't ask him what's up, coz I don see plenty, and moreso, I was too curious to even ask why coz I want to leave here soonest.

Now he rose my dead hopes again and sometimes I wish he hadn't told me, but most times, I thanked God he did. I couldn't ask him for aids again, just trying to hustle some little cash and then get another apartment soon, praying to be paid by this silly state govt.

So my dear, even to ask for money self don weak man, its just to place things in God's care, soonest, we'll all have testimonies to tell our young ones. Cheer up dear, something in me keeps telling me that there's light somewhere and we'll get there.

Secondly, this embargo does not really affect self funded agencies and revenue generating agencies. Thirdly, if you can reach out to your Senators, I know of some that are compiling lists for Post COVID19 employment. Lastly, keep reaching out and praying for the best. Have a blessed day

Mr TETFUND, NO. FIRS collects tax on behalf of TETFUND, NITDA and so on but they are not actually revenue generating agencies. So the embargo affects them and seeing they did recruitment last year. You keep asking questions repeatedly about TetFund, I have told you severally it is not by Q&A here on the thread, if you don’t have connection to make any move just stop disturbing yourself.

Sorry to break this but no agency is currently recruiting at the moment!! Most of the people you would come in contact with for your registration, issue of APL etc are currently at home (they are below level 14) except people in essential duties like security, health agencies etc.

What makes you sure people are claiming, have you spoken to someone senior in NPA, FIRS or others and they have told you it is a lie that they have not given letters? If one is coming to debunk claims it should be based on facts and not assumptions. The people who have shared this info have been so kind because it can help others to know where to put efforts. Posts like yours discourage people that have information from sharing with others.

1- U need a home even if nah 2-3 people in room depending on the rentage cost for at least 8hours good sleep.

2- For the first 3months u need some new clothes not really expensive ones...U have to always be clean and neat...so colleagues (both junior or senior) can call you for stuffs that will change for you.

3- Depending on your job type, Breakfast and Dinner is Compulsory. So for a starter of job, u need manage by cooking.

After a year, You can now start Street!

While working u will meets different classes of people... Some level 8 guys are sometimes richer than the Director.

Some people you gonna share rentage bills with.
Some will give you car lift morning n afternoon.
Depending on your rapport with colleagues, someone might give out his old car (to him) for a shikini money on installment.

I knew of someone that stays in Hotel for 3months ( 2k per night ) before getting a suitable location to work.

Life is fun when you are with the right people brother.

Even civil defense is more than that, jobs are really expensive this days becos pple are really desperate......lecturing job in fed poly I was asked to bring 1.5m u can imagine if I hv that amount I won't look for a job.

Truth is that amount u are asked to pay for a job there is someone somewhere willing to pay 2times or 3times that same amount for the job......so jst as the other guy said 500k is a joke when u want to buy fed job except the person wants to help.

That's the point I was making some time ago that someone took it personal saying "is it because I have a Fed job?" Thing is, how will I have millions to buy a job n not rather put that money into proper n judicious business use? It's well with us. Everything will be alright by GOD'S grace.

Federal ministries is a good place to work because you will have time to do a side business and is not multitasking on like parastatals or agencies. The only thing is that their salary is not that much compare to agencies.
