You're misinformed madam, and I would love to correct that mindset. The length of any article is largely dependant on the niche.

Secondly, the more words you can chunk out, the better chance you have ranking on search engine result.

People can swallow a 10,000 words article provided it's a valuable information, and something they are interested in.

Bounce rate only happens when you're targeting the wrong audience and expecting them to swallow information they have no interest in.

We have moved passed the era of 300 or 500 words article, especially if you want to stay ahead of the competition.

I am nly saying this does not work but the probability of the number of people who will take time to read all the article is very very low.

Typing out alone plus proofreading would take 45 mins to 90 mins. As for research, you can spend between 45 mins and several days.

It depends on how much facts you have to offer. Some people would express two facts in 1 million words, while some would express 5 million facts in 1 million words. In short, a lengthy article that says very little is what wouldn't make sense.

Yes but for little blogs which are not up to that of lindaikeji or ogbongeblog, are just working mostly on their search presence ranking rather than visitors friendly. A lengthy article can be well arranged in paragraphs and section with Headings like (getting started, heading straight to the point, main point) so as to help user to skip reading intros and definitions rather jumping to the main thread

When you make your article interesting, small paragraphs for easy assimilation, lots of visuals, subheadings, and bullet points, you find yourself reducing bounce rate.

But if your article is not properly formatted, with lots of grammar errors and so on! Trust me, no one will read it.
