It all started when I got a new phone three days ago. I made sure I backed up my files on Google Drive before formatting and disposing my old phone

Now, I tried logging into the new device and I was told my password was incorrect. Yeah it's possible I missed some letters in my password, so I tried to recover my account using my recovery mail and recovery phone number but the response I got each I input the code sent to both my recovery mail or recovery phone number is that Google cannot verify me as the owner of the account

Guys, I have tried attempted all the recovery options yet I can't access my account. It seems my account has been locked out for some hours for suspicious activity and I have written to Google support but they seem to be replying with their normal traditional FAQ links

Please I need the gurus in the house to help me

They will only send the recovery link if they are able to verify it's truly you

I have a Gmail account,I have a recovery email account,I have a recovery phone number,I have a back up recovery phone number.
Meaning if I forget my Gmail password,which is absolutely impossible, because I use the same password to log in to all Google services like YouTube,duo, Google drive, Google photos, Google chrome, Google map,play music etc. Which I use often or once a while.
Now let's assume I forgot my password,I will use my recovery email( another email account I registered with Google incase of any problem with my Gmail,all necessary communication are sent to it for me to use) to recover my password.
Now assuming I forgot that password too,which is absolutely impossible,I will use my recovery phone number to recover it. A code is sent to my phone which I will input where directed. Proving I own the account linked with the phone,after which I will be asked to input a new Gmail password. Finished.
You guys always forget your password because they are too much to keep. You have so many email accounts. You guys open email accounts discriminately,input stupid words as password which always make it hard to remember.

I get you bro.Sorry for all the stress you might have gone through. There must be a mistake somewhere. Maybe the phone number you wanted to use to recover your email isn't the one you used when you opened the email. You know most Nigerians have multiple Sims.

You can retrieve it. I just retrieve my sister's mail box. Google search for google support forum.then click on password reset problem,you'll see some examples,then they will ask that is that example helpful,click no and they will tell you to describe your situation. And send,check about 6 hours later ,login and click on forget password,you'll be able to change password and retrieve your email. Make sure you state the affected mail address
