Do you even know the enormous threat those Rusty corrugated roof pose on the life of Yorubas? With the evident poverty there, it is pretty obvious those people cannot access borehole water and thus will rely on rain water dropping from those Rusty roofs.
In the East, clean borehole water is the cheapest thing you can access. It is not even a luxury because most building have it done even before the building is erected and adorned with Modern new Zealand roofing sheets
Then how come your people troop out in droves to the same places with "brown roofs" like mendicant gypsies and homeless refugees? Aren't you erosion-ravaged landlocked hellhole inhabitants ashamed of yourselves?

Keep deceiving yourself with photoshopped pictures . Every one knows Ibadan as the dirtiest city in Africa .
N for ur info the only city in the sw region comparable to any city in the se is Lagos the others are at best glorified towns or at worst slums. And for your info again , Lagos is not a Yoruba city, it is a city in the sw region in Nigeria developed by the fg, foreigners n igbos.
I challenge you to name any city developed by yorubas that can compete with these cities developed by Ndigbos..... Enugu, nnewi, Aba, owerri, Akwa,Onitsha, Abakaliki, Asaba n port harcourt.

Aba is the dirtiest part of the world. Gone are those days when OSU travellers will be deceiving people about their erosion ravaged enclave.

Lol foreign investment ...why do you people even celebrate foreign investments

This is one thing I like about our people we don't give foreign investment many chances before they come we already have local companies doing it

A company which invest $50 million dollars into your economy would take $500 million out of it over 20 years ....but if it's a Nigerian or locals your economy would grow by 500 million dollars more

Ota would have close to the same industry as nnewi but you can't compare both why ? One is foreign investment one is local

I'm a believer in 100% Africapitalism

Please I'm from the east too. Please don't reply that fool anymore. He's a troll. It's people like him that give the impression that igbos are a hateful lots, which isn't true
God bless you. I have an Ibo friend, very nice guy. This keeps me asking why are most igbos on NL hateful?

I have been trying to fathom what brought the comparison into play, because the original poster didn't by any ways mention any other places apart from the newly constructed flyover bridge in Ore town.

Moreover, this development is not meant for Ondo people only, but for everyone who plys the road especially from Lagos and Ogun to Benin, and eastern states.

The states should have better issues to compete against, like agriculture and exploring the mineral resources in their respective states rather than this worthless bridges and flyovers that won't be of any added value on their IGR.

maybe flyovers is a cheaper altenative.... undecided undecided

Let me not even call aba ..9th mile enugu is far far ahead of ore can be in the next 20 years

It's funny how people who have traveld to see both places would tell you something you that only seen one would say it's a lie

The essence of the post is Ore, not Enugu. Enugu can do whatever it likes. Ore is being primed to be an industrial hub that will raise the standard of life of people living there. Nothing concern Ore people with what's happening in Enugu. Ore never depended on Enugu for anything. If at all Ore wants to model itself after a particular city, definitely it's not Enugu. Obviously, you are embittered to see that others are doing good.

Seriously, Ibos don't like to see good things about others. They talk like they are not Africans, like their places don't have mud houses with roofs made from Palm leaves. I don't understand o. Very strange set of people.

undecidedThe whole environment looks disgusting. Look at the massive brown roofs surrounding the environment. This picture offers a more credible statistics on the extreme poverty ravaging Yoruba land. SW needs to invest more in their people so as to improve their living situation.

When does brown roofs now translate to poverty? The East where there's no brown roofs, we see how they sell their birth rights for few litres of kerosene and a plate of Fufu. We don't do that here.

One thing Igbos do not realise is that SW is far bigger in land mass than the South East. Just two states in the SW is the same size as the entire SE. Oyo and Lagos State is the same size as the entire SE region. SW has many Cities,Towns and Villages that needs infrastructure far more than the SE. Yet the SW edges the SE in terms of infrastructural development. Thats why you can see big buildings accumulated in Nnewi and Onitsha (Small land mass) but in the SW those buildings will be spread across the many Cities and Towns in the SW.

That is not true/correct!!

The difference is that wherever the Igbo man is whether Tokyo, seoul, honk Kong, Brazil, kafanchan, Lagos, america, Paris, etc, he remembers his root! Whenever he makes money, he remembers to go to his village to build mansion! Every Christmas, he remembers to come home!

But a Yoruba man makes his billion in Lagos or wherever, he build his mansion in Lagos only. He builds nothing in his village. He is afraid to mould one block in his village for fear of witchcraft! He is afraid to travel to his village during Christmas for fear of witchcraft! When he dies, he is buried in Lagos!!

I have travelled to a lot of Yoruba villages and everywhere look desolate, dry, abandoned and nothing to write home about!!!!!

Will you keep quiet my friend. Ogun state have the worst road in Nigeria. Have you being to Sango OTA axis? Despite the numbers of factories and industries there, they don't have any motorable road there. I keep asking my colleagues what they used there so called IGR for. Even Abeokuta doesn't look a capital. For your information I am currently serving in Ogun state

Don't mind them!!

Enter Ijoko and Akute axis (even though these areas are very close to Lagos); you will park your car 1km away and trek to the house you are visiting! No motorable road in Ogun state all!

Have you ever been to Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub?

It's funny how I'm just hearing about 9th mile but everyone knows about Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub. The Ondo-Linyi Industrial hub is the largest Foreign Direct Investment in Nigeria in 2018. President Buhari was wowed when he came to commission it earlier this year.

These are pictures of different factories situated within Ondo-Linyi

Oga, if youre just hearing of ninth mile, then you do not know anywhere in Nigeria.

there is no way you can compare Ore with Ninth Mile, even though they are both somewhat similar.

FYI Nigerian Breweries' biggest plant is at 9th Mile. in that regards alone, Ore is still upcoming

which piece? you mean the gibberish copy&paste you pasted earlier?

no Yoruba will cooked that nonsense, that's an Igbo man handwriting, a lot of propaganda, chest beating and hyping in one imbeciles Post coupled with you people are known to be fooling yourself in the course of political correctness

tell the writer, till date no good water system in Igbo land, Igbo are still buying waters, even your rich kinsmen ain't left out, should I talk about the erosion, roads and others?

you people should be shameful sometimes perhaps sanity can crawl back to that region since it left in 1966. you need common sense to meet up with a sound debate

You lack ordinary sense! Even some kids cannot be so moronic and shameless!

How can you travel to other region and enlighten yourself, when you live by only the N50 you collect from danfo drivers everyday?! At the end of the day you go and sleep in the gutters or at best under the bridge!

It must be frustrating, after selling your one-room-inheritance (even selling of the land where your papa was buried) to strangers, you are left with nothing but to envy, lament and blab on the same stranger who paid his hard earned money!!

Pele!!!

Ehnnn, so Lagos is an Igbo city right??
You need to go back to school, I swear. This is the first time I'd read the nonsense you typed there, Lagos has never been disputed to be a Yoruba state. You might want to check the states under the geopolitical zones in Nigeria to clear your doubt.

I never said Lagos belongs to Igbos neither does it it belong to the yorubas, that Lagos is in SW doesn't mean it belongs to yorubas....

everybody in Lagos State are strangers, including Lagos State governors and jagaban and many others....

core south west states has the same settings, the same kind of building, same environment, so compare that with Lagos in the 60's 70's or 80's let's know if it looks like a Yoruba core states...

Nobody has time to argue with you concerning Lagos been Yoruba land or not. Reality on ground say it is Yourba land. With the state having Yoruba Governors, Yoruba House of Assembly, Commisioners, Yoruba Kings, name of Places etc. So you can claim it is not Yoruba land in your subconscious but doesn't change the fact on ground.

I'm not arguing with you buddy, of course you got the advantage coz it's under SW....

places like Idumota, isale ecko and it's likes are not Yoruba names.....
