Who remembers this man?

Aroma Ufodike, from Nnewi, Anambra State, who appeared on the popular TV Show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in Nigeria” on September 11, 2009, and won 10 million naira. He was the first and only person to win the top prize in Nigeria, I think.

He got all the questions without using any life line.

When he was on the last question, he said “I want to use my 'phone a friend' option to call my family at home that I’m about to win 10million Naira.”

My thoughts also go to the intellectually balanced Frank Edoho

The day I sit down to watch BBN I'm very sure my mind will implode.

Watching other people live their lives has never been a favorite pastime of mine.

What's to be gained by watching that show anyway?
Same here. Even though I reneged and started KUWTK. But BBnaija? Over my dead body!

I totally agree with you, you made a very Valid point. I hope this country will restart on this note post Covid 19 going forward.

Lol.

Na restarter.

That they have already even started auditioning for the next BBN online.

As long as there are people to watch and donate their money, it will continue even if it adds nothing of value to the society.

I so much enjoyed this show, especially this particular episode. The guy was just so cool, answering questions with ease.
Frank asked him about a particular coach or a sports person like that, he just gave him (Frank) a straight answer... Frank was like, dude how are you so confident and sure of this answer, his reply was epic, he said, cos he is my neighbor, he stays upstairs...

The dude is well traveled, he reads a lot, and he was in luck.

That was the part I loved the most...

KoolBigk:
That night was one of the best moments of "Who wants to be a millionaire".

There was one question asked by Frank Edoho, the question was actually about his neighbor (who was a public figure). The dude just smiled, Frank was shocked when he told him that was his neighbor.

I benefited from the program as well, one time I went for the show as an audience & won "fastest finger" grin It was 20 of us @ 20k each.

Still has the congratulatory note with my name on it from MTN in my archives.

Na immoral Big Brother dey reign now, everything has time and season. The ratings for your moral shows were not enough to sustain them, it seems.

I also watch it then.
Apart from being brilliant, I think he was also lucky because one of the question he was asked was about the former chairman of the Nigerian Referees Association (NRA) Mr. Linus Mba. After answering the question, Frank Edoho asked him how he was able to answer the question easily and he said that the man Linus Mba was his neighbor.

I'm Happy we can remember good thing like this. Meanwhile, our corporate organisations aren't doing enough. Aroma Should have been more celebrated while getting multi-million endorsement deals.Winners of immoral and less educative shows get mind-blowing deals after winning big cash prizes. Kudos to the organizers of "who wants to be a Millionaire", salute Aroma

You made a big point.

We deserve better than the immoral and nude-promoting programmes on our channels.

I have faculties who are educated and ready to give Nigerians live and reality programmes free of charge. They are only desirous of giving viewers alternative to immoral programmes.

The challenge is on who will sponsor the programme.
The government is supposed to be in the forefront of making sure we have safe and corruptless programmes to watch, but alas, I don't think they already think towards that.

Dude- and several others like him- inspired me to keep on picking up random stuff and learning about them.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire was the bomb [cliché]. But seriously, we need such programmes back on air.

Yeah. That show was a bomb. The man is almost complete, as in psychological, confidence, intelligent, to talk of few. He's such a lucky man..to recall the things he came across on CNN.

Come and see the 10million answer. He read the mind of his cousin, that when he heard the question clearly he gave the answer.

The most brilliant episode of all who want to be a millionaire.

It was a question about a particular football refree.

I think I remember his reply was something like this: "He lives on top" or "upstairs" or something along that line.
