Its amazing how a building was demolished and to be rebuilt just because it was not maintained for 4 years... you gave us the cost of Agency rental during Fayose, but failed to give us cost of re-construction of same building.

Simple English..you can't comprehend. The Gov said all necessary information about the project can be found on the state website. What else do you want him to tell you biko.

Lazy youth grin grin..you better go hug Transformer if you are not happy with the news. If your god Fayose can spent 120M for 4 years to rent a house without fixing the depleted government house and you think thats okay by you..then you need to examine your brain

‘Lest the critics have forgotten, Fayemi is not like Fayose who shrewdly rented his personal apartment located in the same Asokoro axis to the state for his own use in Abuja, at a cost of N30 million (Plus N3 million agency fee) per year, which amounted to N120 million (plus N12 million agency fees) in four years.

“The same Fayose illegally disposed of the official land acquired by the first civilian governor, Otunba Niyi Adebayo for the building of the State Lodge. Up till now, the lodge procured has remained in private hands and the Fayemi administration is the one trying to take possession of the land in the name of Ekiti State.’

This is PDP for you.

You see why you fail to reason.. if he could go the length of stating figures of agency for the past years which was aswell in the budget, he could have don same to state the cost of re-construction from top to bottom... they know they have your kind to consume stupid ideologies and propagandas.. there is no cost evaluation in Ekiti website.

2 - if a case of re-construction cost 1.3bn, would it not be sensible to one that outsourced one for 120m in 4 years, than a 1.3bn that would require maintenance at equivalent cost of outsource during same period...

One would have thought, for you to be this loud.. you would be armed with facts, but never... they always recruit the most dumb in the barrel.

But why must states have lodge in Abuja?

Before long, Fulani will use govt instruments to make the headquarters of every state be in Abuja, state governors to reside in Abuja. Unitary government system bringing everything to northern Nigeria.

SmartProf:
Selling your state lodge if it ever happened is inconsequential compared to how the Nigerian government is constantly selling the future of her citizens to China and other first world nations through chronic borrowings and loan collections. I wish that when it is time to present collaterals for these useless loans, they can use their dump followers who sing their praises, rather than support good security, job creation, quality health care services, first class education, great business policies and genuine development

Nigerians chase shadow but leave the substance.
Lodge in Abuja? What for if not another conduit pipe to channel resources of states back to Abuja?

"But in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications to the Governor, Segun Dipe, on Saturday, Fayemi described the allegation as spurious, saying the reconstruction of the sprawling edifice was captured on the 2020 budgets and could be confirmed on the state website."

Page 73 of the 112 page Ekiti State Budget confirms N3,390,000.00 was budgeted for maintenance of the building for 2020 but not for renovation/remodeling. Calling on all sharp NL accountants and budget scholars to analyze the entries. Let's try to get at the truth in a dignified manner. wink

LIAISON OFFICE is different from governor's lodge o. All State have LIAISON offices in the nation's capital and ofcourse the place have to be maintained. Fueling, office stationaries, payment of support staffs( the sub clerical staffs made of of drivers, cleaners, cooks etc), and maybe they even pay rents.
#3.9m is a modest figure..

He criticized Fayose for having the state pay him N30 million annually for staying in his personal house when he went to Abuja, which amounted to N120 million in 4 years. This is conflict of interest and abuse of office by Fayose, but in Nigeria anything goes.

Fayemi on the other hand budgeted N770 million to build the Abuja lodge and another N4 billion for recurrent expenditure. Is this the utmost priority in Ekiti state?Has he provided portable water, tarred all the roads in the state, paid all outstanding pension and gratituties?

And yet people wonder why the country is failed state, politicians spend money like drunken sailors, when majority of people they claim to serve live in abject poverty.
