it's a gift tbh something you cannot have or experience , ever .
So yeah Atheism is a gift .
What makes it a gift? What if you die and find out you were wrong?

I have had sleep paralysis plenty times. Here is what i discovered, lack of sleep is one the factors that contribute to my having sleep paralysis.
The first time I had sleep paralysis, I was being chased by an enemy and then I had to jump from a high rise building. In the process of landing, I found myself conscious but struggling to move my body.
The second time,I was taken to hell and I was full of regrets for not making it to heaven and then I regained my consciousness.
and also if your tired and you sleep face up, it will increase your chances of having sleep paralysis by 60%

I use to think it was someone pinning me down until one night.... I told myself If I die, I die...

Buhhh

I read about it and how it happens, I experimented it and figured how to snap out of it...

Sometimes I just wanna enjoy the moment a bit longer before I decide when to snap out. grin

Science wink
Hi.
How can one snap out of it?
When I experience it now, what I do is relax myself and enjoy the moment rather than futilely forcing myself outta it.

I also share in this experience, when I would be woken up by the NEPA light, eyes closed and can't be opened, no limbs can be moved, yet my brain and ears still functioning, and most important I do have difficulty in breathing and have something I can call a semidream which is always the same, I always thought one day I may die during this struggle which last for a few seconds or maximum 2 minutes, till I finally wake up.
I am always urged to tell those around me , but I later thought they may never understand what I am talking about since they can't relate or they make me to dey start 7 days fasting and prayer over that.
Glory to God I have experience that since a year now.
Always pray before you sleep. Sleep paralysis usually has spiritual connotations.

Young people don't be deceived. See the difference here.... Back then in junior sch, we used to play all through d day, engaging in different spots at home...long jump, high jump etc.
so, at night it becomes very difficult to wake up.. atimes you open your eyes, but no feeling at all allover yr body. I call this sleep paralysis.
Never confuse this to a spiritual attack!
There are witches, wizards, demons haters, everywhere & the only time they know they can easily maime you is when you're asleep, usually at night.
How come it doesn't happen much when you sleep in the afternoon??

Mine has reduced but let me share a recent experience with you. One evening before I went to bed, I decided to wash my dirty white singlet and hung it above the shower rail in the bathroom. I usually switch off the light before sleeping but this time I could detect if the light switch was turned on or off because NEPA refused to do the needful. Out of fatigue, I left the bathroom door open and went to bed which is opposite to the door but extreme end of the room.

I don't know how long I have slept, but suddenly felt a cold breeze with eolian sound. I opened my eyes but couldn't move all I could see was a very bright blue cloud with an angel carrying a sliver trumpet. I forced myself to fly up but I couldn't. RAPTURE is here. I was still in fear of making heaven when I finally gained conscious.

Haa. NEPA is at work again. OX standing fan rotating at its highest speed; the white light in the bathroom illuminating the terracotta bathroom blue tiles on the wall and the singlet looks like an angel with the shower hose head looking like trumpet. I realized it wasn't RAPTURE after all just some sleeping paralysis grin

This one where all of una dey see Jesus and trumpet.... Mean say I no go enter heaven be that.

Iv had more that 10 sleep paralysis...
I think about 3 was in one week.

Mine always feels like am dying because am aware of my body but can seem to wake it up.

The terrifying part about the whole SP is the struggle of trying to wake up, those few seconds feels like minute's.... Most times I want to give up and fall back asleep but my mind tells me that if I do that then I will die... So I struggle tilll Im fully conscious.

It was so frequent, I had to do a lot of research, and I found out that, it was caused by stress and avoid sleeping on ur back.... That solved my SP for now

It's only ever happened to me once and it was last year. It was scary as hell, I had heard about it a lot.
I had not watched any scary movie prior to the experience.
As usual I went to bed a bit late, my 5am alarm went off I just snoozed it to try and sneak more sleep in. Then I had this sort of weird dream of some very beautiful demon with actual horns and black eyes giving me a Mouth Gig, I mean it was wild, my legs were moving at first. I was concious of everything that was happening, I didn't like what I was receiving. I knew the Mouth Gig was weird, I wanted to like snap her head and stop. Fam, nothing was happening, I couldn't move, I could only watch a demon blowing me, I felt precum before I finally woke up.

My experiences on sleep paralysis has made me understand that it's could be spiritual. call it any name you want to call it, sleep paralysis, evil pressing you down, sleep depression. To me, it's more of the spiritual. Yes, it could be scary.

One of the major reasons why it could happen is lack of sleep, but have you asked yourself why you haven't slept well.

My experience with sleep paralysis:

Sometimes, I feel someone talking to me. Giving me instructions. or some forces making me listen to what I should and should not do.

In conclusion, I don't like sleep paralysis Sha.

Yea but it's really surprising to know you were put through all that.I also lived in Family House during my Service year and know alot of Shiit went down ooo.Like a time we had to pray for a sister who was used for money rituals by some Rich Dude,She Left the House and later came back very ill but That's by the way tho.
So why would everyone(mamay, papay,Prayoo etc)believe one person over you. Were you giving them the wrong impression about yourself?
PS: I'm a Backsliding Born again Christian.
like I said pray make them no set you up, even you will not believe yourself, anyways the person that came up with the evil idea is the mama. do you now understand why they ll believe her word against mine. About the lady you said was used for money ritual, I'm curious she went out with a rich dude, fell sick and y'all concluded she was used for money ritual?

It's a pointer to those who don't believe you are more than this flesh you carry tell the atheist who don't believe in God or anything without an evidence it's an abstract world..how you could explain that
For me while growing up I will say one part it's spiritual many times I did be held back and cant move but I will know it's a force holding me down while my consciousness is awake.Later years in observation I also got to know it is not just a a spiritual thing but can happen if I sleep too much or I take sleeping pills that would have put my body so down that when I gain consciousness in my brain my body can't respond to it faster so I am just as down there with no help trying to move my real body to align with the flesh.

Our problem in Nigeria is too much Education. this was one of the reasons why Sir James Robertson didn't hand Nigeria to an Educated person , but to a Fulani Aboki.

What you're calling Sleep Paralysis is a demonic oppression. Nor be any sleep paralysis. Them day come press u for night. demons day come deal with u for night especially when u are living in sin. When u shout Jesus, why did it not continue? At the mention of the name of Jesus, every knee must bow and Demons will flee. Do not use science to confuse yourself. someone said it's her matress. I sorry for u.

Always pray b4 u sleep
and after u wake...,

IceColdVeins:
Medicalnewstoday.com defined sleep paralysis as a feeling of being unable to move, either at the onset of sleep or upon awakening. The individual's senses and awareness are intact, but they may feel as if there is pressure on them, or as if they are choking. It may be accompanied by hallucinations and intense fear.

In Icecoldvein's opinion, sleep paralysis has a plethora of arguments surrounding it. Researchers uphold various scientific hypothesis that represent sleep paralysis as a biological phenomenal, some even insisted that it only happens when your brain wakes up a few seconds before the peripheral nervous complex (the neurons in your body parts), which in turn triggers slow responses to the brain's information by body parts. On the other hand, Spiritualists maintained the notion that sleep paralysis is designed by demons and can only be remedied spiritually.

I used to have sleep paralysis a lot until it stopped, when I embraced some spiritual antidotes.

Below is still the scariest sleep paralysis experience that I ever had......

I heard my ex's voice yell a threat at me, I was scared and tried to get up, realised I was six fts below ground level with a shiny grave moulded untop of me. And suddenly, the skies changed from it's astonishing high resolution filters to the dreadful black and white effect, as it coughed a heavy thunder down my grave....My mummied body immediately knew it was in for it......I tried fleeing from the horrifying dream, never knew a worse comeuppance awaited me. I was thrown into a solid 40 seconds of sleep paralysis.... before I opened my eyes, hissed and mumbled 'Una papa. I don wake up'

Dear NL,
What are your experiences and beliefs about sleep paralysis ? Your inputs may put some people experiencing it at ease.

Kindly share!!
The bolded experience is not sleep paralysis, it is a spiritual experience more like a premonition of death.
For Sleep paralysis, yes you cannot move your body but your brain is always conscious of your surroundings rather than taking you into another realm.

UndauntedYOCA:

Now this is super scary! I would have frozen to death!

No you shouldn't. You are a spiritual being having an earthly experience
in time and space. There is no time in the spirit realm. The major problem is that people neglect their spiritual health while they feed the flesh. Now your flesh cannot fight when asleep but your spirit, so when the spirit is weak you will be oppressed. Man is created by the word and must survive by the word.

Some Christians can be so strong that they will deliver others from oppression.

You can try three days fasting breaking at 12noon for three days with psalm 20 . You will experience a new glow.

I recall my dad telling my mom how an evil spirit held him in the bed and couldn’t let him move. The prayer that night wasn’t a funny one. Deep down I knew he only had sleep paralysis.
Well about mine. I saw a Jesus like figure talking to me and telling me to repent, out of fear I tried moving from my bed but this unknown force held me down for some seconds. When I was finally able to move i noticed I had tears in my eyes. This happened even before I knew of the term sleep paralysis. I always told my friends I saw Jesus back then. If it was sleep paralysis or Jesus I can’t even tell
U saw Christ.

A Nigga Once Said: The first time i had it was when i was 11. Tried waking but could not.

I could still remember tapping my elder sis so that she can wake me, but she did not even feel anything. After much trying i finally woke.

Told her that i was waking her so that she could wake me. "She just said i did not feel anything", felt confused cause i could swear that i touched her.

When i tried leaving the bed that was when she asked "why will you want me to wake you up". Explained every thing to her but the aftermath was not funny. Serious praying and fasting.

After that incident, never told them again if i had sleep paralysis or not.

Na me una wan use hungry beat abi...

And then again, the most funniest thing about this sleep paralysis is that it comes with weird dreams..
