Can Hernia Be Treated With Herbs? by simultaneousboi(m): 6:37am On Jun 04, 2020
I just discovered that I have Hernia when I went for Nigerian Navy DSSC screening and I was disqualified because of this problem. Of course I know that "Hernia is a bulging of an organ or tissue through an abnormal opening" which can be corrected via surgery. But I have heard from different people on different occasions that Hernia can also be treated using Herbs. I am avoiding surgery because it is also part of the criteria for joining the job.. Three years ago, I joined this same job with my OND and I passed through the same screening but nothing was discovered. Now that I have the opportunity to pursue my carrier, Hernia wants to ruin it... You people should please help a brother.

It's good that, unlike the Herbalists selling herbs to you, you've come to understand the basic stuffs about hernia...."that it's a bulging/protrusion of part(s) of an internal organ(s) through an abnormal opening(defect)....."

Now, pushing the question back to you, how do you think those herbs they sell will successfully "seal" that opening/defect we are talking about??

By the time you'll realise it's not working, your money it's already gone.

Hernias run a progressive course(they'll never get better on their own), and the only successful treatment is SURGERY!

The only problem here is the nature of the profession you're going into.

I understand what you are saying, but back then in 2016 when I was working as a store keeper in a hotel, I experienced a bulge at back of my wrist due to carrying of heavy objects. People said it's Hernia, that I should go for surgery before the thing(bulge) will disappear and reappear again at a dangerous place. I was planning to do so before the bulge disappeared(as they said) in 1 to 2yrs time. Now is 2020 which is 4yrs later, the bulge shoot out again in my pelvic region(dangerous place as they predicted.

What you had in your wrist 4yrs ago was not a Hernia. The term 'Hernia' is not used to describe every swelling.
Hernia has a specific definition, and doesn't occur on the limbs(although some muscle fibres can "herniate" through a defect in the deep fascia covering them, but that doesn't fall within the definition of 'Hernia').

What you had then was most probably a Ganglion cyst. Yes, it can rupture, and disappear.
And it has no direct relationship with the groin hernia you're having now.
