How Long Should A Recovered Ulcer Patient Wait Before Resuming Normal Diet? by naija1stnigar(m): 4:15pm On Jun 11, 2020
I got wave of serious gastric pains in my stomach for the first time in December 2017 after which I was treated by medical professionals but to my surprise it kept recurring again after three months this prompted me to make research on foods to avoid, sadly, lots of my favorite foods including beans, eba, garri, milk, carbonated drinks, groundnut, and fried foods happen to be in the mix but I had no option than to let them go as if that will be enough to help me cure it but yet the pain kept on coming from time to time, I couldn't even calculate how much I spent buying different drugs(omeprazole, rabeprazole, gestid, gascol) and many more from pharmacist, to cut the whole story short, on the 2nd of January this year I got another round of pains which was about to kill me before I was rushed to a doctor who gave me treatment and prescribed a drug called "elicorid"for me, I got the drug and made use of the seven days treatment and that was it, I was also given lots of antibiotics after taking the drugs and now it's been four months I last felt any ulcerative pain in my stomach do you think it is time for me to start eating my normal foods again? Share your thoughts please.

You can’t really resume normal diet per day! What you have to do now is management of your symptoms, avoid the avoidables depends on how chronic ur condition is though! Usually u would notice certains foods or habits trigger ur condition, which is best your avoid or do once in a while!

Ulcer is managed not cured .. if you eat excess of those foods you will certainly have a relapse.
You can take them in little quantity once in a while...if not you would trigger the sores in your stomach....think of ulcer like wounds in your stomach
