I challenged you to list with evidence the roads built by Okorocha that didn't last up to one year. I will also list with evidence the ones that lasted till Ihedioha excavated them and the ones he didn't excavate that are still there as a witness. It's a challenge

Lol, the question should rather be, is there any road Rochas built that lasted more than one year.

Wetheral road, Douglas road, Umezuirike road, Akachi road, Orlu road etc. Even the sections of Orlu road that is still okay feels like driving on hills and valleys, your car would be bouncing up and down because the road was not leveled.

After Rochas buiit all these roads you named in Owerri as if Imo state is Owerri, as he was telling us then that he was building his dear state capital into a standard city, what’s Rochas political worth today in Imo state?

It’s most foolish any idea that state capital must be developed first, while rest of the state remain like in civil war days. Persons who support that notion are stupid. They are reasons why Imo state is fast losing its two ancient towns of Orlu and Okigwe. No reasonable persons would want this loss.

Thunder FIRE any nit wit canvassing for closed gutters only for Owerri in Imo state; while rest of Imo state make do with open gutters - or no gutters at all / as it is in towns and communities outside Owerri in Imo state.

Anopheles Mosquitoes live in open gutters.

May mosquitoes that are the greatest killer in sub Saharan Africa wipe away the entire village of the canvasser.
Did US government first build closed gutters in Washington DC before other US cities? Imo state capital - who builds capital to undermine development in rest of the state or country? Less than 4% of the people of Imo state live in Owerri.

Most u restort to abuse and verbal abuses before making ur point??
Owerri is the capital of IMO state. It shouldn't be dragged by any other rural area

Any other rural area?
Your community must be a rural area without water supply, good roads, tertiary education institution etc, and must remain so until Owerri skyscrapers start to touch the sky. Isee.

Orlu, Okigwe and Owerri were the official urban towns of Imo state in 1976 when Imo state was created.

Governors like Rochas Okorocha and Ohakim who had no attachment to Orlu and Okigwe sidelined Orlu and Okigwe for 12 years, built only in Owerri.
Owerri expanded to monstrous size since the two governors did their misdeeds.
That must have made nit wits of new generation believe that Owerri is the only urban centre in Imo state.

THUNDER FIRE THOSE WHO POSITION THAT OWERRI IS THE ONLY URBAN CENTRE IN IMO STATE.

Village man, you are happy that Owerri is the only developed urban area in Imo state 42 years after Imo state was created.

Where are the trillions of Naira allocations from federal government to Imo state gone to since 42 years?

If you are not from Owerri area, be rest assured that if Orlu and Okigwe doe not develop into modern urban centres, your damn rural community in Orlu or Okigwe zone can NEVER SEE modern development. Modernization flows from urban centers to nearby communities.

I've heard a lot about these complaints of developing Owerri and leaving other zones, and I agree that they are right.

However, I will like to know. Is there any particular reason for this? The governors who made these error are not from Owerri zone, is there any reason why they decided to abandon their regions?

We all know it's not because Owerri has the voting population to turn things around. If it was so, Ihedioha would have become governor long time ago. As Amah70 rightly said, if all the allocations for Imo state are being spent on the capital and looking at the current state of that capital, one begins to wonder, where do all the money go? Is Construction work in Owerri so expensive to gulp all the fund allocated for 27 local governments?

Why have the governors from ORLU and OKIGWE zone always refused to bring development to their zones?

Please, those knowledgeable about this should help us out

Bros, these nit wits with state capital as the only thing in their heads can drive one to go harsh online at times.

How could that nit wit be bold enough to tell barefaced lie to us that Owerri is the only urban centre in Imo state?? Because he has no attachment to Orlu or Okigwe??

I knew when Imo state was created in 1976. Owerri then was a little more urban than Orlu and Okigwe.

His mentor Rochas Okorocha, thought that governors first develop state capital to international standard before attending to the needs of the rest of the state. That’s how Imo state is now lagging behind other SE states - eight years, no urban roads, no public water supply, no new infrastructures, except market stalks and roundabout in Orlu and Okigwe.

Remove Douglas from there cause Rochas didn't build Douglas. He only did from Junction to Ama Jk and it was still ongoing when he left. Wetheral had reached Cherubim before he left though the right lane had reached city school. So like I challenged you simply mention with Evidence so for my part let me state Bank road, Freedom Road, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Inland road, Akachi road all on lasted at least 6 years. One lane of Akachi was excavated by Ihedioha but it wasn't bad. Today Uzodinma has fixed that excavated side but the untouched side remains good and I present my evidence in photos from this thread.

Pic 1 is how it was when Okorocha handed over to Ihedioha with full bar streetlights, garden lamps, covered drainage and walkways. The streetlights were dismantled, the garden lamps removed, walkway slabs removed and one lane excavated by Ihedioha.

Pic 2 is present picture of how Uzodinma has reconstructed it and the 2nd untouched lane is intact. Curiously the bar streetlights, walkways garden lamps may not be part of the plans.

If Ihedioha actually removed those beautiful lamps and the green archs just for the sake of erasing Rochas's legacy then he is a mean man.

How can he still be doing bitter politics in this kind of dire times. These guys suddenly forget that governance is not a competition with their predecessor, but rather it's about serving the people

I don't understand, why is it taking it too hard to pay workers and pensioners?

Did our allocation decrease over night?

Where is this problems from?

Because as tiny as it is, it’s a tunnel only fit for ferrets and Umpalumpas’!

For you to reinforce that structure, it’s more likely you bring it down. That culvert called tunnel is a joke to structural engineering. It will be nice if a new and better structure is put up in place of it; but having it like that is a structural hazard and a risk to life!
