"Thank you my son, God will bless you" the old woman said to Daniel.


"Oh, it's nothing Ma, just take your medications the way i prescribed it for you and you will be fine" Daniel said with a smile.


"Okay, my son" she replied with a nod.


Daniel left the ward heading towards his office. He greeted the nurses he met at the hallway with smiles radiating on his face. Daniel had that macho Man body most Nigerian girls loved, he was tall and had a perfect physique, chocolate color and that cute face that made ladies weaken whenever he smiled at them. Of course he knew, that was the reason he didn't hesitate to dish out smiles to people whenever he could. He walked into his office, someone was already seated waiting for him, he sighed and went to sit on the armrest chair.


"What do you want, Joy?" he sighed again.


"Daniel, am sorry, i know i hurt you terribly, please forgive me" she let out a breath.


"I have forgiven you, a long time ago. I hold nothing against you" Daniel shrugged.


"Thanks, i only need your forgiveness so that i can move on, i shouldn't have left you like that, am sorry" she muttered softly.


"It's fine, please move on because i have done the same too, you are now married so focus on your husband" he replied indifferently.


"Okay then, i should be on my way, am now at peace with myself" she stood and walked slowly towards the door.


"Why did you do it? why did you get married to another man when you claimed to have feelings for me?" he asked weakly.


"Danny, i did have feelings for you, infact i still do, but sometimes in life, love is not always enough. Collins had promised to help me out with my career, he has connections abroad and you know my dream of wanting to be a model that will be recognized world wide" she replied sadly stopping halfway to the door.


"Damnit, Joy, i loved you more than my own self, you threw everything we had away just because someone promised to make you a model? that's very petty. I would have done more than that for you if you had told me" he groaned.


"No, Daniel, you wouldn't have supported my career of wanting to be a model. you said it was indecent and promotes nudity. Am sorry, but Collins gave me the support you wouldn't have given to me" she shook her head sadly.


"Leave and never come back" he shrieked standing up from the Chair, anger burning through him.


"Am sorry" she mouthed before leaving.


Daniel slumped back on his seat and groaned bitterly. "did that lady even have a heart? did she know what love was all about?" he hit his chest softly, his face twisted as though he was in pain.








Bariludu carried the shopping bags and walked down the road with Chioma. Different cars honked at them while they walked, Bari shook her head sadly, she knew the honking wasn't for her but for Chioma. Chioma had that perfect figure eight shape that could make Nicki Minaj jealous. Big boobs, slim waist and an equally big ass, her pretty face crowned everything. Bari smiled sadly, Rowland her ex-boyfriend had told her that her face was the only pretty thing on her body.


"Babe, Austin is organizing a pool party today at his house, you are coming, right?" Chioma asked bringing her back to the world.


"Pool parties are not for me, Chioma. Enjoy with Austin and extend my greetings to him" Bari replied with a sneer.


"Pool parties are not for you, how?" Chioma asked turning to look at her while they still trekked.


"Because am scared of water touching me and am allergic to water, that is if there is any allergy as that. So you my dear friend will go to the party alone and enjoy yourself as usual while i stay at home and wallow in grief" she smiled sadly.


"Wait a minute, you didn't go to the hospital like we discussed, did you?" Chioma asked, stopped and stared intently at her.


"No, i didn't" She stopped too but kept her gaze elsewhere.


"Babe, i think you are enjoying your suffering. Why haven't you gone to the hospital?" the anger could be seen creeping up her face.


"Okay, what will i say when i get there?, eeehn? maybe i will say something like, "Hello doctor, my name is Bari and am scared of the water, i can't even walk freely on the road during the rainy season without being conscious of the rain" Oh how hilarious and funny that would sound to the doctor" she chuckled slightly and continued walking.


"Bari" Chioma called out softly moving towards her. "You are suffering, babe, i can't even imagine myself going through half of what you have been through all because of your stupid allergy. Go and get yourself checked at the hospital, please. Am feeling for you" Chioma said pitiful.


"Don't feel for me, babes, i guess am stucked with my Aboniki balm" she laughed out a little.


"I hate you" Chioma hissed looking away.


"The feeling is mutual" she laughed flagging down a taxi.
