This is a Nairaland post/thread from July 30th, 2017.

corperscorner:
So for some time now, we've been getting disturbing by the noise of the glorious Gucci puppet called Hushpuppi.

First of, I'm doing this for the sake of those that would want to wallow in frustration 'cos they feel this dude is getting money just by being a socialite (only God knows what that truly means in today's world).

When it comes to social engineering, you only need to slip up and make a tiny mistake just once before you have your biography being downloaded by the whole world. Apparently, Nigerian scammers are not learned enough to dust their trails. I keep telling those who care to listen, the true scammers and fraudsters have at least one Masters Degree in a duly accredited course of study from a renowned institution (not those ones that grew up knowing all the cyber cafes in the area).

Hushpuppi slipped up when he posted a screenshot of his credit notification received via mail. He exposed a detail he probably thought wouldnt mean much (dude, seriously - I thought you were smart).

Well....before i continue...leme just share the screenshots alongside this post. Observe the email addy in the screenshot below:

jwoodscrane@yahoo.com

www.nairaland.com/attachments/5739303_hush_jpeg7f5edc56c49cf2be33876da834479735

www.nairaland.com/attachments/5739304_hush3_jpeg977f1b2927a47715e0197a938f1ceeb8

corperscorner:
The screenshot was obviously taken on his device in an attempt to make heads roll on social media I guess. But he probably forgot to cut that part off.

Guess what, we appreciate that cos those that look up to you will now know exactly what you do for a living. Just read on yo....

.....

So the mail got ran through a virtual mail registry and quite a number of mappings were carried out to determine the social profile of this anonymous identity.

Thats hushpuppi highlighted in green (dude is so sloppy)

www.nairaland.com/attachments/5739313_hush4_jpeg5c0752e7645912cedf280c4b5fbddb15

corperscorner:
Sure you must have compared the email from the virtual registry with the email from his "bank alert". Thats a 100% match...

Interesting.....LOL....Mr Socialite.

Not done yet....so a baby step was taken further to put a face to the identity and guess what. The end-result made me understand why this dude sometimes wear female clothes. Ray Hushpuppi is actually a "SHE".....

THe email was mapped to a single profile on Facebook....no suggestions or similar profiles at all. It got mapped directly to a single Facebook account: Jane Woodscrane

Little wonder why bros hushpuppi picked the "J" from the Jane and retained the "Woodscrane".

The account has just a few pictures with the usual Facebook privacy thing turned on (very peculiar with Nigerian scammers tho). I want to believe this dude has more aces up his sleeves.

This could be his past or his latest parole......but one thing is so certain. This is a part of who Hushpuppi is.

I do social engineering for fun....so if he would like to bark at this, he should remember there is more where that came from unless he is a close friend to the CEO of Google and would put a call through to him to wipe off all his related records off the internet (plus dark web).

I'm not hating on him tho...but so long he keeps insulting hardworking people with a verified source of income - the source of his wealth will continue to stir the curious mind.

PS: The use of "hardworking people" in this context does not refer to musical artistes (I mean the guys with big egos that can't stand other people with big egos too).

And for those that would say I have time for all these. It only took me about 7mins. I have other productive things to fill my time with. #Bless

...........

Quoting another Nairalander @Nov6

"when this came up,i have been running my own traces too,
and i agree more without every detail you have put down.
He is using woodcrane identity to defraud people.

Jane is 43 from sweden currently residing in Huston with an international legit connection in Malaysia,Canada,Philipines.
I tracked a phone number down and placed a call to the number, lo&behold our so called hushpuppi which i prefer to call him (hushbingo) is a fraudster living with so many different identities......

As for you all looking up to him as a role model, well kudos to u.

I remember one idiot here called Damafe or whatever his name is has been reigning insults on himself which is not me just becoz i called "hushpuppy" "hushbingo",
i wud rather be an average nigerian with a legit business&my white collar job and have peace of mind,be comfortable, contented than live on other people's identity to just make money&fame....

@OP great job, even tho you do yours for fun but i do mine for a living. i guess we are just a few that are good @deciphering information."

Please pay attention to what I am about to say. It may not appeal to your moral sentiments but you can conclude what you like.

What you see on social media is no true reflection of reality. Nonetheless, my sister's and brothers, strive to be the best. Struggle to achieve the best things in life, even if it's not for you, do it for your children.

A part of me blames hushpuppy but then again he is a product of a broken society. A society which is a den of all forms of corruption, from the top echlon to last sector of our community. If you doubt my submission, pick up any national daily newspaper if you will not see a familiar face who has been accused of scam/corruption but roaming freely with a wild beam of smiles.

Whatever crimes hushpuppy or Invictus obi committed were not necessarily done on Nigerian soil. There associates too would definitely not be only Nigerians but whites and Arabs. Let's move on with our lives and take back Nigeria ... That should be the real struggle and not digging puppy's insta

Meanwhile, something to laugh at below

Internet never forget.

The biggest fear of drug cartels is extradition into the United States.

The notorious Pablo Escobar once said "better to be in a Colombia grave than a USA cell"

Bye bye hushpuppi, Sha help us greet Farouk Abdulmuttalab.

Do not be surprised if this comes up in the FBI documentation about his life and arrest. Case was similar for Invictus Obi. What we can take home from this are the same old words we've been feed for many generations.
1. Patience is key and in-exchangeable.
2. Crime does not pay. Karma will always catch up with you.
3. The sleep of a 'labourer' is sweeter and better than that of a rich man 'thief'.
4. There's nothing new/hidden under the sun.

Number 1 law of hacking is you must learn to conceal your identity.

Imaging using your exhibit email address for your banking details yet still opening it for the world to see.

In other word, no matter how long, nemesis will always caught up with scammers.
I guess He knew this, hence the flamboyant lifestyle...

There's always an irresistible urge to flaunt and misbehave; inherent of sudden wealth, especially when it's stolen.
When your wealth builds gradually and it's moderately proportional to your effort, there won't be any reason to brag or misbehave. But if you start getting sudden huge incomes, far more than your age, especially when you didn't deserve it or sweat for it. The feeling is always overwhelming and there is likelihood of you misbehaving. That's the reason why scammers flaunt their wealth. The urge is irresistible, except for the wise ones who control their emotions and learn to lie low.
During the course of flaunting, especially persistent flaunting, they expose themselves and leave behind trails of their criminal activities.

Do you still remember Dan Owolo of Covenant University?
I mean this shiit always repeat itself over and over and over. Perhaps a regular staff who earned around N100k.
Suddenly, he started getting over N10m with no extra effort. Why didn't he lie low? The feeling and urge is always overwhelmingly. It's extremely euphoric, you only come back to your senses after casting yourself.

If you've always had under N100k in your account, but suddenly you hit a mysterious 'jackpot' of N1m this evening. I can assure you that later in the evening when you come to NL to post or comment, the anatomy of your post would be quiet different. You suddenly start talking like a god. There is a sudden shoot in your hormones, it's a high, it's overwhelmingly. Only people with self-control can handle it.
Ironically, the thrill is even multiplied when you got the 'jackpot' in a dirty-smart way. You feel like James Bond.

Another reason is, scammers in the days when they were still small scammers or when they were still legit, they freely drop their details, because at that time, no one is really tracking their asses. Later when they become big scammers, they forget to erase all their trails they left years ago. It might even be impossible to remember everywhere you've dropped your trails.
Take Invictus for example. When he was still a small legit guy on NL, he dropped his email freely here. Later in life, he became something else and used same email for his fraudulent activities.
This shiit happens to everyone on Social Media. Most Social Media users have trails online.
That poor legit boy dropping his number/email freely on Social Media today, because no one is after him yet, might still use the same email to cast himself years to come.

Your words are really inspiring and unarguably true ...
I won't seat here and criticize hushpuppi cos he is a reflection of the society we live in where people would do anything to be respected by people who see money as the true representation of wealth....
Today on NL we see everybody shouting say no to fraud , God don catch hush , crime doesn't pay ....this begs the question who is now committing this vices...ghosts
Like I said your words are very inspiring , but in Yoruba there is a proverb that for the fact you fall of a horse once doesn't mean you wouldn't climb another time .....
To those prospective fraudsters they see it as just one light going out in the cloud of a million stars...
Until our society changes its mentality towards money and its acquisition by all means , crime doesn't pay would continue being a broken buju banton's record !
