Well, the pay isn't that much $500 per month but it is quite okay for me though.

I would have aksed for more but i am not good at negotiating so i went with the flow.

They are enslaving you. This is the same people that is shouting Black Lives Matter. You should not be getting nothing less than 3k per month.

Remotely working from home from here in the US due to COVID of course. I heard someone mentioning they were getting paid $500/month. That is enslavement bro. They'll delibrately outsource such jobs to beat down the price. That figure is about what we'll make here in 1 day.

If you're into any of these fields; developer, infosec, coding, pentest, net sec or any IT core field, this season is the best time cash in since you can literally run 2 jobs concurrently and run a third paying IT survey gig like URI.

And most of these apply outside the states too, just got to be in the position.
How do one freelance as a net sec

Reason why most of these foreign companies prefer remote workers, they will now have to pay less due to exchange rates and difference in purchasing power.
$500 is a week's average work in the US.
Renegotiate that pay!!!!!

YOU ARE VERY STUPID.

YOU KNOW YOU WORK ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT, COMMON SENSE SHOULD TELL YOU THAT YOU MUST SLEEP DURING THE DAY JUST LIKE MEDICAL STAFFS AND OTHER WORKERS WHO WORK NIGHT SHIFT DO.

BUT YOUR TYPICAL 9JA MENTALITY WON'T ALLOW YOU TO SLEEP DURING THE DAY CAUSE YOU MUST ROAM AROUND TOWN LOOKING FOR KUKUNASE AND SHOWING OFF TO PEOPLE WITH THE SMALL CHANGE THAT HAS ENTERED YOUR HAND.

I am a front end developer but attimes I feel Programming/Development is Over-Hyped. There are other fields that pay wella.

A friend of mine makes up to $2500 monthly doing Vintage Logos and T-shirt design on Fiverr with no plans of learning coding.

My neighbour does $500 monthly trading forex; I $180 - $200

I think programming/tech roles is also about interest. Some people just love the buzz that comes with problem solving.

You should be able to earn much more than that. I think you should subtly ask for a raise. If you are a valued member of the team, I'm sure you will be obliged. Been working remotely for almost four years now as a Senior software engineer/Tech Lead, I am fortunate that the company is in UK, which is virtually same time zone as Nigeria.
What is your job description? Which programming language do you use?

What!!! Are u serious That's too poor. I presently work remotely with a company in based in Romania as a Market research analyst (here in Nigeria) and the pay is over $2200 and also attached to it is transportation allowance of $300 monthly... Hmm I still find it hard to believe u earn just $500 damn!!

What website did you find such jobs?

I dey find one myself
Re: Share Your Remote Job Experience As A Developer by soleexx(m): 2:52pm On Jul 06, 2020
$500 seems little tho but just try and change your sleeping pattern...

If you can work effectively for couple of months and you meet up your target at the right time.. I'm sure you can get an increment..

Whites don't cheat.. They just wanna be sure your priority is not set on money only

There is more to remote jobs than you think. Here is my personal experience.

Recently, i received a mail from a remote american tech company that i applied for. I was informed, that an interview will take placed few days, i prepared for the interview and the day came , lot of questions were asked that questioned my experience in web development. Finally the interview was over, but still i felt that i really embarrassed myself and messed up but i kept my fate.

Two days later, i received a mail from the same company where all the company guidelines, workflows and other necessary information i needed to get started were contained.

I resumed work a week after, soon i decided to set up my work environment just for me to realize i will be working actively at midnight from 11:30 - 6:30 due to time zones difference.

So basically, my life was staying on the PC every night and i adapted to it to the extent that i might not use my PC yet i can't sleep at night.

Soon after, i felt ill for 3 days after 4 weeks of sleepless nights and i was advised to reduce my working time and sleep often.

Knowing it was dangerous for my health, i cut my working time to 4AM and i will be off to bed. This step almost cost me my job because i published a new feature to the company product but i didn't include proper documentation of what the feature does and the developers and the members were annoyed with me to that.

Since it was a remote company though they have an office at California, most of their members work remotely, the company meetings are always held on Thursday via Google Meet and i have been marked absent for 3 times in a row which is really bad for my report. I was warned if i miss the next meeting, there is a possibility that i might be on probation or worst relieved of my role.

NB: I work as a frontend developer using Vuejs as my core language.

What is worth doing is worth doing well,

I understand it might be challenging at first but I think you didnt take the right steps to adapt like sleeping in the day.

I'm afraid , this might be part of the reason those guys dont like employing people from other time zones.

I work for a Californian company too, my work starts at 3:00pm and end at 10:00pm, I have never missed a standup meetings, and I always give an hour heads up if I was ever going to be late for meetings.

One thing my remote team and I agreed on was the time overlap.
So I just go on slack report that I have started working on xyzzy features and by 10:00pm, I go again and tell them what I was able to accomplish and that I'm going to bed. I work as backend using Nodejs and ExpressJs.

EDIT: I saw where you mentioned you earn $500, dude I won't advise you to quit immediately, I would advise you to sharpen your skills and apply to jobs in Australian, Berlin etc. You now have remote work experience.

I've been working remotely for 4 years, my least pay is still $5000. my goal is to hit $10,000 ~ $15,000 per month by 2021 that's why I'm taking algorithm classes.

Either OP is lazy or has health challenges. If you sleep 6 hours during the day, you should feel refreshed by night and not have the issues you are having. By the way, 500 USD is terrible for a month. Are you sure you are not working with an agency? If you are working with the actual company, you should be able to get $2500 at least. You are being paid roughly $3 an hour which is pathetic

Hello, I'm an aspiring developer and I've been doing some self-learning. I discovered so many remote opportunities but I don't have enough skills.
Do you mind being my coach?

Thanks, in anticipation

Btw your pay is verrrryyyyy low, you are being exploited, even if you are a beginner you should be earning double of your current pay. Most of the folks I know earn 2k dollars upwards.

One in every 10,000 - 100,000 Nigerians makes such amount monthly loser. That's nothing compare to people working regular job abroad. Don't be a fool everyone can't be good, but never you judge a book by the cover. God himself says judgement will start from the church not with the criminals....
