Whenever I go to the market, I get cheated because I hate pricing anything edible. If it's purchase of vehicles, you can't cheat me.

I bought a catfish for 1k yesterday, but someone bought it there before I left for 800. I felt really bad, but there is God.

Today, I decided to take 5k to buy some food stuff for a female friend of mine since I'll be visiting her tomorrow as she has put to bed last month.

I planned buying her a carton of Eva, tea, milk, a carton of indomie, etc. My estimate was 5k, but I was shocked when I spent more than that for that small thing. See picture below.

I haven't even bought the water yet, but I have spent more than 10k already. Market women are just using this to pandemic to cash out. It's unfair.

Anyway, na people wey dey hustle for money in Naira e go pain pass. Those getting it in foreign currency don't have to worry.

But, why do market women love cheating me?

Also, if you're a lady, calculate how much the things below is suppose to worth.

I'm not a teacher. Surprised? Absolutely, you should be. On a faceless forum, I choose to be whatever. I can be a baddass advertiser to achieve a purpose but still sticking to the rules. u cant escape a market woman cheating.she must always cheat u since u be guy and u might not be too dat familiar with current prices of foodstuf in the market..they usually bank on that to cheat.But to reduce this try and make one particular market woman ur friend and always patronise her if u want to purchase certain foodstuff.If na fish u wan buy make friends with one of the ladies who sell fish and always try to patronise that particular lady when u need fish..same with other type of foodstuffs.They always like it when u patronise them and make them a customer and in so doing so the intention to cheat u no go dey dere and she will even be adding jara anytime u buy foodstuff from her.I know some market women are hardore cheats weda u patronise them or not but there are the reasonable ones who would sell at the number price or even reduce for u if u patronise them often.try the strategy and it will work for u.

@Lefulefu, the more I draw closer to these women, the more they cheat me. They feel I work in an oil company. I'm not really a fan of pidgin English, but when I'm at the market, I have to speak it by force just to make them relate with me and reduce price, but dem go just lock their yansh until I act as if I want to walk away and they'll remove 100 Naira.

Even after removing the 100 Naira, it's still expensive. Why not these people put the prices on the body of the items as I'm used to.
