Australia to close Victoria-New South Wales border

Could result in studios not being able to resume filmings there... sad

I have no great excitement for any of the future announced Marvel movies at the moment. There a couple I am interested in seeing....but the thrill is gone for me. While I liked INFINITY WAR and ENDGAME.....I saw no reason to kill off characters because some actor's contracts were up. I have watched multiple actors play James Bond, Tarzan, Superman, Batman, etc......I could have watched a new actor play Iron Man or Captain America. ENDGAME was an ending. My set of MCU films from IRON MAN to ENDGAME make a grand set and series that I will continue to re-watch when ever I can. Yes, I know that SPIDER-MAN FAR FROM HOME came after ENDGAME....but it seems (to me) to be the start of the new stuff and doesn't fit in with the other movies. I will watch future MCU films as they are released....but I will not be waiting on the edge of my seat for them like I did all the others.
Yeah, I'm looking forward to fantastic 4 and xmen, ....but in terms of waht we know they're working on, my enthusiasm has never been lower.

I never read master of kung fu or Black widow or Captain marvel etc. etc. etc. comic books. I never watched cartoons with them.

I mostly read fantastic 4 and Hulk, but characters like Thor, Iron man, Captain america spilled over and I knew them from cartoons etc. so I had an interest in those films.

I'll probably watch Black widow etc. when they come to video, but I'll only go to the theater if I have some time to kill..... there's no real excitement or anticipation from me for anything coming in the near-term.

Yeah I don't know about this. At this point I've developed a certain level of apathy for this game. I don't like how the levels are basically just these big arenas with enemies that you select. I would've preferred an open world, something like Spider-Man PS4 or the Arkham games.

I also thought the gameplay looked a bit boring. It just didn't seem fun to play to me. You could see Thor doing that same combo over and over.

And I don't know why you would take out Captain America in your first Avengers game undecided. Save something like that for the sequel. People want to play as Cap. I'm sure he'll be back, but the character will probably be missing most of the game.

how long has this game even been in development?

it seems like it was conceived in 2012 or 2014, which explains the look of the characters (so many of them look like they are from a movie tie in game from the first two phases of the MCU),... and the massive role the Inhumans and the Tarragin Mists play in the game (remember when Marvel was trying to replace mutants with Inhumans because they didn't have the movie rights to the X-Men?).

This game's story feels so dated already. It feels too much like early MCU. It feels very uninspired.

Compare that with the last Spiderman game, which took a bunch of influences from comics, cartoons, and the movies, and put enough of their own spin on them to make them feel fresh and current.

The Avengers game, however, just feels like a cheap tie in game with a coat of Destiny paint slapped onto it.
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by 1000WaysToLive(m): 5:52pm On Jul 07, 2020
2017 is when it was announced that Square Enix had signed a deal with Marvel.

Pre-production probably started in late 2016 after Crystal Dynamics wrapped up all work on Rise of Tomb Raider

Well at least it looks a lot better than the last Ultimate alliance and most Switch games, so there's that.

Im not completely optimistic about the game...

but the quality of the graphics and cutscenes is the least of its problems.

I don't actually see anything wrong with the game . It's perfectly alright to me

The only thing this game is missing is the ability to character swap while the entire the team is available . I'm fine with individual missions but they should allow for a character wheel give you the option to toggle options.

I'm pretty sure that was confirmed to be in long ago. The A Day gameplay seems to hint at that unless it was exclusively a training thing.

Female Thor anyone? I'm personally not digging it and definitely not looking forward to love and thunder plus Portman doesn't look like an action hero at all.

Also rumors that Hemsworth isn't too happy about being replaced although there's talk that he will stay on beyond love and thunder and there will be two thors

A female Thor is a terrible idea for the MCU,a lot of fans including me do not like the idea and have grown to love Hemsworth's Thor.
Marvel should just scrap the idea and give us something like a Gorr the god butcher storyline

Honestly I have no doubts about Love & Thunder

With Taika at the helm i trust him to take the best out of his cast.

In Ragnarok one of the many highlights where the caracter work and how well they played off each other. Give Natalie Portman some more depth and drama so she can really make a statement.

I"m kind of curious to see on what would happen around here IF (this is a big if) Natalie ended up not only getting top billing in this film and replaced Chris as the new Thor of the MCU like how she did in the comics (for awhile at least). Would fans be accepting of that idea like how they have been with the notion of Supergirl replacing Superman?

How many Switch games have you played?
Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe by 1000WaysToLive(m): 3:06pm On Jul 08, 2020
None.

Though I'm sure some ps4 games were ported to the Switch like those Assassin's Creed games.

I've also watched countdowns regarding the Best Switch games, and none of the graphics of those games impressed me.

I've also watched the full walkthrough of Ultimate Alliance 3 and I don't think I've missed anything.

I don't need to play the game to judge the graphics. I always check the gameplay / graphics first before I buy a console game anyway smiley

And honestly, this looks a lot better than most ifnot all exclusive Switch games.

You shoulda just left it at Marvel Ultimate Alliance, then. Not that you'd be any more right, but the difference in opinion could be understood.
Dissing the Switch because you watched some gameplay videos is just dumb. I mean, no one takes a backseat gamer seriously anyway.

Oh really? How about don't tell me what to say. undecided

I'm just stating my opinion as Switch games are pretty popular at the moment and the last Marvel Ultimate Alliance was released exclusively to it.

And people were criticizing that the graphics don't look good enough. One person even said it looked like a game from '12. So thats fine but I can't compare this to the graphically inferior exclusive games of a current gen console? Bros abeg.

Anyway this game has better graphics than Switch's exclusive games. You don't have to agree to it as I didn't you ask either.

i’ll take comic book style ultimate alliance 3 over whatever square enix is attempting as their character models/design are so bland.

My gripe with your initial post was you concluding that Switch games are boring from a backseat review.

I get why some may not like these character designs but I for one am good with them. They've grown on me so much and have accepted them. The graphics themselves may not be top level like Batman: Arkham Knight or Spider-Man PS4 but still good. Seems improved in the war table stream gameplay than it did when originally revealed.
