800million Alleged Oil Fraud: Buhari Should Resign As Petroleum Min. And President" - Timi Frank

In a series of tweets this morning from Activist, and former APC Deputy Publicity Secretary, Timi Frank expressed contempt over the way President Buhari is running the affairs of Nigeria.

The outspoken Political Commentator highlighted some of the loots ravaging the system, as he called on the attention of the international community to provide succour.

"$800million Sales of Crude Funds stolen as alleged by Pointblank. Gen. @MBuhari  should resign as Petroleum Minister and President of this country. Under his watch as he has failed, Nigeria cannot breath anymore. I call on the Oil producing community and Niger Delta Region at large to protest this current loot."

"This is exactly what the musical Prophet Fela called 'Authority stealing pass armed robbery'. We are disappointed that corruption has eaten deep into Nigeria, and Nigerians can't even breath.  The fight against corruption and insecurity was just one of those Campaign gimmicks General Buhari used in deceiving Nigerians."

"All those part of this $800million must be brought to book. This case mustn't be swept under the carpet. The 9th Assembly must probe these allegations.

I call on the International communities, US, UK, all should place Visa ban on these looters and their families. This is a way they can help Nigeria to support the fight against corruption. Corruption has raptured the entire country. No government has looted Nigeria dry like Buhari's Government. Our securitt, educational,  healthcare system has failed, and poverty, hunger, unemployment is now friends to the System."

"No Government has given Nigeria bad image in recent times like General Buhari's Government; this administration has dent Nigeria's image internationally. They're the worst in terms of looting. Once you loot public funds you'll be celebrated under Gen Buhari's watch. Despite all of this, even Magu will go scoot free, just like others. they're practically the role model of Yahoo boys.", Timi Frank concludes.

A mere allegation is not enough for Buhari to either relinquish his post as the Petroleum Minister or resign a President.

Truth be told, Buhari hasn't done enough to better the lot of average Nigerians, but calling for his resignation over what Timi Frank himself described "as alleged"is way out of line.

infact this was just on my mind today sincerely before viewing this post. If GMB claims he loves this country he should honourably resign, he can cite health reason for that but we all know that it is based on incapability & incompetency there is no shame there.

The nation has been brought to her knees under his watch and is not out of place if he steps outside for the greater good of the nation and Nigerians in General.

I doubt if Timi Frank is frank about what he tweeted because what he said is an allegation by Pointblank.

$800m stolen under his watch as a minister and President!

Since this is still an allegation, I will assume it is untrue. But it is popularly said that in a statement or rumour, there may be an element of truth therein.

Past governments, from the first democratic president in 1999 up to date has had series of allegations of stolen and embezzled funds in the Oil sector. They always cash out BIG time and this keep repeating itself year in, year out!
