Hello bro,

if you don't mind, you can drop hint on the field you are working for others to be aware and work towards it.

If it is as a programmer, then, all is good.

can you help authenticate with these figures thrown here.

DuBLINGreenb:
To be honest you can earn 500,000usd or even 1million a month as a lawyer as a dentist as a banker as an accountant and so on abroad especially if you have worked 10 to 15 years in the company you will be made a partner

Silas Adekunle is the highest paid robotics engineer in the world I don't need to tell you that he is Nigerian nor do I need to tell you that he doesn't work in Nigeria he has been earning between 7.5 million and 10million us dollars yearly

The reason I only my focused on law is because that is my field but other fields pay even more than law

However, I can not decieve you or assure you that you will make 1m USD a month or 10m like Adekunle so that is why I used 10k and 5k ofcos people make less than that and are very comfortable but I used that figure because it appeals to me as someone who will love to build something back home in Africa and to me that figure is achievable and can also help you build school, house, or any other small or medium scale business I like back in Africa.

Chris rock once said he is neighbors with Jay z and some other people that he is one of the greatest comedians and jay z is one of the greatest rappers but their neighbours are ordinary people his own next door neighbor is a dentist he isn't the greatest dentist of all time just a regular dentist.
How did a dentist afford that place? he doesn't know, he finds it hard to believe a guy can make that much money from pulling teeth out of people's mouths

It is possible to make millions monthly like ogunlesi but It is not common so I will instead tell you that you can make the median and lowest salary, it is up to you to work your way up and God to butter your bread if you want more that's all

But I want you to know that people earn such outrageous salaries for lawyers look at what these law firms pay their lawyers Kirkland & Ellis, Latham & Watkins, Baker McKenzie, DLA Piper, skaddem, dentons Nigerians work in these law firms, there are over 200 law firms worldwide that pay their lawyers 500,000usd a month none is in west Africa, in skaddem first year associates make 200k per year every law firm I listed has that as the lowest paid others earn 250 to 300k as first year salary and 300k to 500k as 3rd year salary and you can guess the rest

in Japan the lowest starting salary for lawyers even if you graduate with pass is 100,000usd or 10million yen bug firms pay twice that amount but I know you have to give up your Nigerian citizenship to become Japanese and there aren't many Nigerians in Japan so I didnt mention Japan, you also need to speak a little Japanese.

Like I said other professionals like doctors earn more than lawyers

But let us even forget professionals Uber drivers in UK earn 300,000naira weekly for working 40hours a week, in USA they make 11.7milliin naira per year as Uber drivers you can use that as side hustle while you position yourself for better things it's just 40 hours a week which is less than a little less than 2 out of 7 days that is weekend hustle while you go do something else during week days.

I condemned Akata. I condemn Nigerians more because we are always looking for shortcut to success. There are good Nigerians here, especially the females who work hard and stuff. Nigerian females are not skilled at yahoo yahoo, so they put their heads down and work and hustle to succeed. But the men, instead of them to work, they are looking for shortcut to success. Well, no be Hushpuppi case we still dey judge so?

Look at Hushpuppi and co, always giving us good Nigerians a bad name.

I make more than that a month. I don't have many years of skill. I actually have only about 3 years of skill.

US isn't naija. And no, I am not a doctor.

It all depends on your hustle.
But what of those heavy tax and bills
You know one guy oyemke on IG his in UK
If you see where his living it's very dope so anytime he's doing live video on Instagram and I see the settings of that house and room
I'll be like wow for someone to be living in this kind of house in the UK where pounds is even high no be small thing
One thing I know abroad for is
Even though someone is making $100k a month
Half of it will go on bills and tax's

I become disheartened whenever I read or hear about the happenings of how our leaders (those in position of authority in governments), who were supposed to serve the people and lead well, setting good examples to others, especially their children, but serving their interests at the expense of the whole and behaving otherwise. And people who benefit from the crumbs directly or indirectly celebrate them without shame.

Worse still, tribalism, nepotism and religious sentiments colour the way Nigerians associate and treat themselves regarding placements and other benefits at the expense of common sense.

The question is: How do we come out of this mess?

I make more than 10k a month after taxes.

If you want to avoid being heavily taxed, then invest in properties such as house, assets, retirement saving, family, etc.

You get back the rest in tax returns which are filed annually.

Even here in US, every tithes, offerings, voluntary contribution, and charity donation is gotten back from the government after filing taxes every year.

Yes.

Or sometimes you even owe more money on your taxes and need to pay the government.

Look below for explanation

what's the concept of this tax returns? I don't understand it. you're getting back tax you paid to the government - literally to me. WHY?

Let me break it down.

Let's say you earn $100, 000 a year and you are taxed at a rate of 27%. That means you will be taxed $27000 and you will take home $73000.

But let's say out of that $73000, you paid tithes and offerings of $5000, paid mortgage and the interest on the mortgage is $10000. And then you donated to a few charities a sum of about $1000.

That is $5000 + $10000 + $1000 = $16000.

At the year end, when you are filing your taxes, the government will refund you all that $16,000. Tax free too.

You are refunded that amount because you "INVESTED" it in various things. You didn't sit down and eat it and clean mouth. It is refunded to you as "Tax returns" or "Tax refund".

That is why in Yankee, it is ok to pay your tithes and offerings without worrying what your pastor does with it because it will be refunded back to you by the government. The church or charity will give you a document to use for filing your taxes so you can get the money back. It is a clear open transparent system with no mago mago. Unlike Naija cry

1.) Some people who go abroad do so just to make themselves more marketable and give themselves more options in Nigeria. They also do this to get more competitive training to maximize their potential in Nigeria. These are typically the students.

2.) Some are well established in Nigeria be it through career or businesses, and they want to explore career and business options abroad. People all over the world do this. It's called enjoying yourself.

3.) Some only want to open up options for their children and have no interest in moving.

4.) Most Nigerians abroad invest and send money back home. They also visit frequently.

This is not the thinking or behavior of people fleeing a country.

Nigerian children born abroad are familiar with Nigeria and their culture. They love it. Asians born abroad on average know little about their culture, and the little they know, they despise. Few visit, and they look down on where they're from.

Corruption is the major reason I want to leave or I left, you see man know man ehn, I went to Abuja I got intel of vacancy I went there and after passing 2 offices the third guy was surprised he said how did you get here? The 4th office was the big man's office, top govmt office holder,

Wait! how did you even know about this job? The p.a asked, I told him not to worry he should just submit my documents, he asked haven't you submitted your document through the normal link before? I wanted to lie but I said the truth, he told me forget it oga already knows your name, if I can remember your name I'm sure he can too,

To cut the long story short my name is a south south name very English the oga is a northern muslim and he wanted to put his boys in the positions. and it wasn't advertised so very few people with Intel applied, So there was no how he would even mistakenly accept me.

I went with smarts(as cunny man/sharp guy), good university result and small connection and insider info, but it still felt like I was punching above my weight class, I was qualified even more than the people who were eventually selected but I wasn't as connected as them. One of the guy who got it came with nothing his aunt told him come I will put you there so he just hurriedly came without documents, he came empty handed we chatted abit he told me who his aunt is and he asked me whose connect am I using that was when I knew there was a problem, I am not a total nobody back in my state, but in Abuja I am a nobody I wanted something new, I was tired of my state I wanted job without parents or family help but it wasn't possible, This also links to tribalism and upward mobility

Other reasons are our currency has no value, insecurity and religious extremism

Value of work, upward mobility also we keep electing stupid people as politicians, I mean thief's, thugs, the worst amongst us yet we celebrate them shamelessly and finally I cannot wait till I am 80 to enjoy the benefits of a developed society, I want to experience it while I am young.

Small explanation:
If you make even 10,000usd a month and send half of that back to naija that's 2 million naira a month in Nigeria you cannot find 2 million naira job without doing something evil or connection, luck, hardwork, being from a wealthy family and much more combined

Religious extremism people are getting locked up for thinking, reading and analysing the quran on their own or online, Nigeria is gradually becoming Afghanistan https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2020/jul/27/wife-of-mubarak-bala-detained-nigerian-humanist-plea-for-information

A cleaner in Nigeria can never safe enough or work hard enough to become a surgeon general impossible, in most of the abroad cleaners, taxi drivers, road sweepers become doctors, graduates, professors even migrants become mayor's, council men and so on In Nigeria it is rare for a Nigerian whose parents are born in one state to become something in another state except in Rivers state and Lagos the case of the lady chief judge in Akwa ibom and Calabar comes to mind, to us outsiders they are the same but to them they are very different, I once had a chat with a cross River person who thought everything wrong with Cross River was thanks to Akwa ibom people and esp. girls giving Cross River esp. Calabar a bad name and reputation.

Politicians commissioning leg bridge and giving out plastic buckets and legs as empowerment program while building one fence for their office at 200 million naira, and paying themselves paliatives of 1.5billion naira yet nobody protests, nobody is assassinated, Nigerians just make memes about it and laugh it off, someone pretends to faint and that's all.

In saner societies people would be jailed for just one of these. Meanwhile we recycle these criminals from 8 years as house of reps member to 8 years as governor to 8 years as minister to 8 years as senator I don't have 40 or 50 years to wait before it MAY get to me so I'd try my luck elsewhere, while keeping my eyes and heart at home.
