Where they toolbox meetings, PPE provided, SOP, working at height and other things that could have made that young chap trying to make a better life for himself provided?
I doubt, apart from the O&G industry no other industry in Nigeria, worse for factories take safety serious?

Just trying to picture what the lad went through.
R.I.P lad Nigeria failed him. If it was a sane country that young boy should be at home taking online courses not working with heavy duty machine he has little or no knowledge about.
what u typed doesn't make sense...in developed countries, teenagers work during holidays

He molded himself into soups... After night shift why not give ur self enough sleeping hour to fully recovered from the previous night u didn't sleep, am also guilty of that attitude, after night shift I will stay with my phone the following day instead of sleeping and regaining my strength... But mine is different my work is only inside office and I don't handle any of the machines let alot go near them, and I have evalance to sleep during work hours at my own will without any complain, because I am the boss cool

I was so devasted when i heard the news, currently they are airing the case in a radio station, and everybody are contributing their opinion for justice to prevail.
But can any justice bring back the life of an innocent guy.?
I pray God will grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Which justice? undecided.. how is the company at fault? Never heard of occupational hazard?

Remembered my trainee days at Academy Press PLC.
Those Guilotine machines , stitching, and web offset machines can decapitate you in a second .
Thank God for life.
Since then , I have made a covenant w God , and that is , even if I have the whole money in this world , I won't have more than two children and they would never suffer what I suffered and yo God be the glory.
May his soul rest in eternal peace and God console the family . Amen tongue

Branch manager of the so called company are earning more than 3.5M in a month. I couldn't believe it that the manager still have the audacity to slash out of the casual workers daily allowances, From 5K to 1.5k.
God who cursed this country. Heal our land.
5k per shift was too much if you ask me . Go to some of these Chinese and Lebanese companies, they pay workers 500-1k and they go home happy.

It's a really saddening news and it is high time the government take a punitive measure to make sure these manufacturing companies quit the usage of casual workers as slaves, without providing them protective equipment . The company should be sanctioned for their obvious negligence that culminated into the painful demise of this young man.

Rest in peace.
So if they don't use casual workers who will Doo the job? You're an enemy of this country and deserve to be locked up for this statement.

This has nothing to do with schools resuming. Death would have come anyway. There's no excuse for death. Once it's your time, you're going. You only think his death was as a result of the lockdown because the article expressed him as a student.

How many students have past on due to this their scamdamic?
Is like that and if care is not taken, more will still go.
Imagine people going for their daily political routines but have decided to keep students at home for no reason.
May his soul rest in peace

He left home with the hope of returning in the evening, yet he ended in the machine. His wages will be paid tomorrow, who will receive it?
My heart bleeds as i type this. So young and hard working. OMG! I know many who are waiting for their parents to provide even the urine they urinate, but look at him cry crycrycrycry
May your soul finds rest in the bosom of our Lord and may the Lord comfort those u left behind.

I've never used their WAW detergent, but people who do should please boycott their products! A country where nearly all her workforce is casualized without insurance and benefits is an evil one! This is so painful, so so painful!

There are some kind of death that could have been avoided, if the right thing was done.

I have been through such situation, I know what I am saying....
