I intend taking a 2-week trip to Istanbul. On checking for the requirements for a visa, I saw National ID (original and copy) as one of them. I have never had a National ID card and even got my passport without it.
Would my application be rejected without my including the National ID card? Can I replace with a driver's license? Similar experience needed please.

you need your Nin number, that's why... you can't travel out without it..

You need to register with NIMC and they will issue you a slip. The slip contains the NIN number. Moreover once you complete your registration you can always check your NIN number on your phone and save it just like your BVN.


If you dont want to do all that , there is another way of getting a visa to Turkey , and guess Howewhat? u dont even need to apply at the embassy with all their strict requirements. However, u must meet the following conditions

You must have a valid US, UK , Australian or Schengen visa
You must have a return ticket booked only on Turkish airlines
Your stay must be less than 30 days

If you meet the above conditions. just go online and apply for e-tourist visa to Turkey and you will get it in 24hrs

With my UK visa, I got my Turkey visa in less than 1 hour.

Thanks a lot. I wonder if the embassy would recognise the slip from NIMC. It's my first trip out. I already have the e-visa alternative by the side. However, I still hope they won't demand for that same national ID card. I'll do a search on this.
