The most worrisome about this loan is the cabals and their associates will embezzle more than 40% of the loan, civil servants will mismanage 10%, and the remaining 50% or so will be use to execute projects at inflated prices by appointed officials.

I actually find the probe by the National Assembly superfluous. No Presidential country in the world can take a loan without their National Assembly knowledge.
And most Organization would not want to give out loans if this due process is not followed. Maybe that’s why North Korea hardly gets loan, cause it is a dictatorial nation.
The current rubber stamp senate will do anything to please their paymasters, including selling Nigeria. You should know that, unless you're a zombie

You hate Igbos so much, why then do you get pained whenever they ask to separate from this country? They contribute nothing to the country, they're pained, isn't it the best option to let them go? Is it by force to remain in a union where you're not wanted?

I thank God you're not a zombie. We need people who can call a spade a spade irrespective of political affiliations.

For this loan, there's no evidence to show this loan was taken during the past administration. I can't put it past Amaechi to lie, he has been doing it.

I believe if secrecy over the loans did not exist, the fears would not have existed.

It makes sense if one looks at it critically. China supplies the loans, completes the project and in case Nigeria defaults, China 'manages' the assets they used their loan to finance till their money is recovered and then returns the assets back to Nigeria.

Yes!China will manage the assets/rail stations and recover their money plus profit and send to their country..while they depreciate by the time they are done am not sure there will be much left for the Nigerian government to utilize..

Many people here are dumb and could easily be swayed.

Check previous thread and tell me, what is the difference between what they said he said and what they are now saying.

You have paid 90 something ok, we are aware of that already. Don't borrow more focus on getting yourself out of the debt on ground, then you can go ahead and borrow.

Lol

Something is happening on this thread and it us funny. It seems like paid APC loyalist have called themselves to bombard the thread and silent everyone.

Don't go on a borrowing spree, use sense. We all know that if loans are well managed it could be used for development etc.

But don't put us in debt which your administration won't cover before they leave.

If something goes wrong tomorrow AMAECHI your name would be tainted. If we'll managed but I doubt it is for your glory and that of your party

If you are on this group and paid to cause ethnic division or paid to sway off important topics that concern our future and we'll being, may thunder fire you.

do you want to compare Amaerica with Nigeria??

If someone mismanage the loan, stole part of it or got bribed for it in China or America, what would happen to the person?

Compare it to what would happen to such person in this country.. What has happened to those people found guilty of stealing NDDC money??

My friend stop typing nonsense,
abduljabbar4:
Why is Amaechi even wasting his time on these people. They are okay with Africans being slaves to the IMF and collecting loans that mostly ends in the pockets of white companies and corrupt politicians, but they have problems with low-interest, long-term loans from China. It's only an irresponsible government that will fail to repay such loans (given the time and interest rate of the deal).

Modified
Some Cownu minions are not aware that China has canceled loans for African countries without giving stupid conditions like approval of gay marriage. Not only that, China has never endorsed a candidate in our country or tried to fforce us into going for destructive policies (SAP). They claim that they have never taken over a country, yet great African leaders like Ghaddafi are dead today for refusing to become puppets. Not only that, they have taken over Iraq and Ivory Coast while still fighting to seize Syria and Venezuela. They are always quick to mention Zambia (which failed to repay due to incompetence) , but they don't care about the plight of our neighbors in the hands of France who controls their economies and even funds terrorist groups to cause unrest in the region (of course, why should they care when France is an ally to USA their masters). They supported USA's evil agender against our own Akinwumi Adesina just because they hate everything that sounds like Yoruba and Nigeria but thank God, they have failed.

But then, even their leader called them pigs and idiots so no surprises here. If majority of African countries prefer to go for "evil" Chinese loans over Angel World Bank, then there must be a reason. Even their master (America) owes China over a trillion dollars

Modified for the 2nd timecheesycheesycheesy

China has never threatened us with sanctions for refusing to accept their deals unlike their masters. Ask Angola or Rwanda about what they faced for choosing to grow their local industries (textile I think)

Don't waste your saliva some people are just too dumb to reason. How can a reasonably person see what's happening live and decide the Western media says ? Adesina saga should be a pointer. Any country that fails to repay a Loan after 30 years is irresponsible.

Thats is just the fact. We have gained far more from China than what we have from IMF (that only knows how to cripple economies and force countries to devalue their currencies

Then, as stupid as you sounded, support #Biafra freedom and referendum so that you can enjoy your Nigeria alone without the "unproductive" Igbos. Is that too much to ask for?

it can work like that and well if the amount that would be borrowed is not more than the country's ability.

Imagine borrowing to finance projects of which in the next 20 years or 30 years, we won't finish paying off even if they start managing it. Do you think China would manage such and let it slip off their fingers easily... A strong hold in Africa for that matter? It is impossible.

Unlike the way we let greediness crowed our sense of thinking those people know what they are doing. They think our IQ is low lol imagine.

My only hope is the break up of Nigeria.

the problem with you is ignorance, there won't be any cash here, the Chinese are the ones carrying out the project without paying a dime to any Nigerian. we are only going to payback after completion of the project, the worries here is that can we pay back? Nigerians don't like returning favour due to the system... read before you inflict your filthy fingers on your past glorious screen.

You are a simpleton. So naive.

How do you think they can recover the loan?

I would have told them to use you as collateral but you can't fetch a kobo.

We are talking about trillions of naira amidst dwindling oil price in the global market. Oil being the major economy of Nigeria and by the time China cease that oil pipeline and channel it to China for 20 years then you will recover your senses.

The so called railway system cannot recover that money.

You are saying rubbish just try to read and understand next time, China can’t take our oil sector for loan we did not pay, they can only take the sector the money was spent on and that’s the rail, and they know this money was spent on rail because they are the ones who sell the train to use and are the ones incharge of the building, look China did not give Nigeria cash the gave an infrastructure loan cash was not exchanged

is better we support China in their bid of gaining world power, so that we can benefit the way France benefited from USA.

China has show commitment towards us, check most of the gadgets we are going gaga for arr all coming from them.

what has US and England done for us?

they keep exploiting our crude oil with their multi-billionaire companies and sending wicked politicians and law-makers to frustrate any effort of building refinery.

they should just divide us from these Yoruba people and Igbo... we the Niger Deltans are hot ready to partner the Chinese to glory than being slaves to Europe who doesn't give a fu-ck about Africans.
