Refunds are not affected. Your bank will credit you appropriately, even at the prevailing higher exchange rate, as long as AE arbitrates in your favour.

Our local post offices are complicating issues. They have been lackadaisical about their job of late. So don't be surprised if your parcel is truly in Nigeria, but NIPOST logistics is almost non-existent.

Maybe you should visit your local PO and para for them seriously. Inform them of your loss of money to the seller for the item in question and that the seller insisted that tracking shows it has arrived the country. Demand they produce your parcel or you take it up to the higher authorities. Maybe if yawa like yours prop up in different quarters across the country POs, they will be forced to contact their Lagos team to do the needful of forwarding parcels to them.

See, the guy na fake. AE don't really vet sellers like it's done on eBay, Amazon etc. Heck, the Chinese government don't even have punitive laws to discourage such. To the Chinese, it's seen as a thing of pride to outsmart others, mostly in cunning ways.

So the red flags for that guy is that the store was recently opened, probably in preparation for Black Friday and gadget Monday sales. The second red flag is that the items are dirt cheap, those items will most likely be fake.

So here is what happens. You're not the only person that will be attracted by the "juicy offers", at least a million other shoppers likely are. So if each one of you buys 10 dollars worth of item from his store, that makes 10 million dollars. He will ship the item of course, but it'll be fake. The purchase protection is what he is banking on. Not many AE shoppers know about BP and so it always run out on their profile without they knowing it. Also not everyone has the luxury of watching the last few minutes of BP expiry with the hope of filing for dispute the moment it runs out. Not many buyers know that you can file dispute for fake items.

These are the categories of people that this seller plan to capitalize on. If out of a million buyers, 500 thousand failed to file dispute as at when due and funds have already been released to the seller.

Four years ago in preparation for Black Friday on AE, I had spotted this store with dirt cheap prices and I bought a Bose Sound link Mini I had planned to acquire that year.

Come and see how disappointed I was when was delivered was total fake and imitation. I had to make a video evidence back to AE to refund my dues. After Black Friday, I wanted to write reviews to expose the seller, alas the store no longer exists - It's like the store was in existence for just like one month.

I was later to buy the certified Soundlink Mini from another reputable seller.

In my early days in AE, I bought such an item. AE closed the shop after like a week or so. I guess the fake shop will soon be closed.

I think AE has refunded alot of Nigerians and it's killing their business. The only option left for them is to confirm all payment, since some people are getting refunds and the package aswell

Now the speaker has a great discount again and I am thinking of ordering again.
Is this fine. The only shipping method is AliExpress standard shipping.

Twas then I had to go to Ikeja post office to get it...and they said the item has arrived since the 16th of June...at some point shaa I saw the date on my package tracking but thought I will be called when ready.

I made some enquiries and was told door deliveries are pending due to COVID-19...

So you have to go check and pick up your package yourself...
Got similar notice on a 2nd item and suspected it must have arrived at NIPOST but I had already opened a dispute, and wouldn't want to go back there since I had just been there the day before... I was refunded though

Going to pick up your item is how it has been mostly. It is very rare to see a post office that do door delivery for AESS/untracked items.

Even me which when I heard the door delivery. In my location, they will even threaten to send it back to the forwarding address if you don't come pickup your item ASAP

Exobank isn't a very serious bank. Mailing the custocare does not guarantee that I'll get response in record time. I don't wanna waste my time with those guys.

And worse still, Ecobank charged 400 naira to the dollar. I just calculated it now using the amount I was debited.

I guess Zenith's 200 USD cap at 390 naira to the dollar is the way to go.

I don’t think Aliexpress Standard Shipping & Singapore Shipping are the same though..

Reason: Same Dates Order about 4 and that of Singapore arrived quickly than AESS (which I am still expecting )
