It's a problem commonly associated with defective battery. Could also be from the RAM.

Remove the battery from the laptop, open the back of the laptop carefully, remove the RAM, wait 10 minutes, put it back again, close your laptop, and power on your laptop.

It should boot normally, but if the old problem persist, then the battery is probably defective.

Yes Sir...

Perfect. Repeat the process again, but this time, after removing the RAM, remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard. CMOS battery is a wristwatch-like battery, but bigger, you can't miss it. Wait 20 minutes, put everything back the way they were, but make sure that CMOS battery goes in before the RAM. Close the back of your laptop, and power it on.

The laptop will give you a message that Bios has been reset to default. Cheers.

if you have a little skill to access your PC system board, if you can remove a wristwatch like battery from the board called the CMOS battery for some minutes and after that replace it back. this would reset your system BIOS to default settings and fixed every problems. if you can't do it. and can't open the system board. you can remove your battery and charger from the PC, and press the power on button for 60 seconds, after that replace the battery and charger back, this would reset your PC and BIOS, and all your problems would be solved.

Good morning. I have the same issue and I've already done the things you suggested sir but it still doesn't come on. It used to come up after hard reset but recently noting works. Could it be something else apart from the BIOS causing this problem or perhaps i need to change the BIOS chip or battery?.

3 things cause black screens in PCs, namely; RAM module, CPU and battery.

Follow the instructions below to the letter.

RayMcBlue:

If this extensive hard reset doesn't work, remove the battery from your laptop, and connect the laptop to a power source. If it still fails to boot up, then your CPU is probably burnt out. If it boots up normally, then the battery is defective.

there's a simple way to know if you have aremove the battery and connect your laptop to electricity. If it powers on normally, then the battery is the faulty.

Which battery? The BIOS battery or the laptop battery

Laptop battery. Remove it from the computer and plug it in without the battery.

Download this software; glary utilities. There's a utility inside the software called Disk space analyser. Use it to analyze your system disk. You'll find the garbage that are clogging your storage.

Just downloaded it and cleared over 200gb. Thanks

You're correct if you think it's the bios, since it powers on.
However there are other things that can cause it too, first check if your caplock is working properly (the normal off and on when you press the key)

If you press the caplock and it respond with the click, then be rest assured your motherboard is functioning properly, you have to pay attention to the screen and flex.
Either the flex is bad, check the screen by pointing a torch to it to see if you can see any character, it might be a dim display.

If the keyboard caplock is not responding, then fault is from the motherboard, all voltage/signals are not complete, and again like you said it might be a bios related issue, RAM or processor.

If you're in lag, I can check it.

If you're using CD you just have to input the command prompt, that's how the Windows on it operate.

It's either you get another CD or use a bootable window flash.

How do I make my computer surf the internet, I normally use my phone's hotspot for it before and it works fine but after a while it will connect to my phone's hotspot but it won't browse. I think it has to do with settings. I've tried all solutions I found online but it's not working.

Now if I connect it to my phone it browse for about 1mins and stops

Check your phone if hot-spot limit is not set, secondly go to the network settings on your laptop, remove all the paired device, and connect again.

Thank you, Op.

Same laptop. When on battery at the lowest brightness display, the screen flashes. I mean it will go brighter a little and returns after 4 seconds thereabouts. The process may now repeat itself after another 4-6 minutes I can't recall per se.

But on a very bright display...be it on bat3 or charger, I don't notice it.

What do you think?

Check your power settings, right click on the battery, and power settings to make any changes you want.

Pls i need solution to my HP 620 laptop computer problem. The problem is when it charges up to 96% it will goes off suddenly and when i want to turn it on it will goes off like 3 to 4 times before it finally turn on. The laptop battery in question can last for an hour plus. Thank you

The best thing to do is confirm with another battery to see where the fault is.
Though I'm suspecting the ba3.
