Nigerian Passport Renewal In The UK by Stoicbaba(m): 11:35pm On Aug 12, 2020
Please guys, kindly assist with any useful information.

I applied for My Passport Renewal in the UK and made payment using INNOVATE1 Services, which, I was redirected to, from the Nigerian High Commission website.

I was informed at completion that my application has been forwarded to the Nigerian Embassy and I will be given an appointment for biometrics...

This was since June, yet no invite. I have tried calling the numbers on the website, not connected...I am tired, as I no longer know what to do, as I stay North of England and wouldn't want to make a trip down to London, only to be bounced.

Info on how to go about this PLEASE!!!

The same thing I have been experiencing. And the problem is that you can't go there unless you have been given an appointment to come. Please if anyone here has renewed his passport recently he should please let us know how it was done. Thanks.

The information on that appointment page says the application is not meant for new applicants.

Thank you, atleast for the form, which I struggled to locate...however, it covers only those that their appointment was within the time frame, up till May...

@ Stoicbaba,

I also applied for my passport renewal in June but didn't want to wait endlessly for an appointment. I decided to use the fast track option as I knew I would get my passport the same day. It comes at a cost though as you're required to purchase a postal order of £100.

I don't think you need an appointment to attend if you're using fast track ( I only showed up on Monday 10th August and by 1530 I had my received my new passport).
I know this option wouldn't suit everyone but that's how I was able to renew my passport.

Thanks so much for this info. But i need to know, do i need to register with innovate first or visit nigeriahc for fasttrack and do the registration.?
Re: Nigerian Passport Renewal In The UK by AeeNgy(f): 8:36pm On Aug 14, 2020
Hi,

You need to apply for the renewal on Innovate and pay the fees as normal. Once you've printed your application, payment and acknowledgment forms, you can then proceed to Nigerian High Commission for fast track. Ensure you're there before 11pm with your forms and £100 postal order. Be prepared for drama ( a lot of pushing and shoving) once the man in charge comes out to collect the passports.
Hope this helps.

@ AeeNgy

Please, did you purchase the £100 postal order at the high commision or would they accept postal orders from any post office.

Kind Regards.

So basically I can go with £100 , pay it at as payment for fast track/postal order and have my passport collected same day? So, what's the postal order for then?

Sorry, I had to ask again. I don't mind making the payment as long as I am able to get my passport same day. Just worried I might not be attended to without an interview date and that would be a nightmare as I'll have to journey 7 hours to and fro London.
Re: Nigerian Passport Renewal In The UK by AeeNgy(f): 8:23pm On Aug 20, 2020
The payment for fast track is done via postal order and its £100. They don't accept monetary payment at the counter that's why you're expected to purchase the postal order prior to attending. As far as I'm aware, there's no other payment required.

Like I said in my initial post, I didn't have an appointment but I was attended to same day. Please be aware that I do not work for the High Commission neither do I know anyone who works there. As such, I cannot guarantee what will happen when you attend.
I only posted my experience should it be helpful to someone else.

Please I'm trying to get my passport renewed but I wasn't given an interview date. Could you please answer a few questions for me?
1) Did you have an appointment date?
2) What documents did you submit?
3) How did you get the £100 postal order for fast track?
4) How long did it take?
5) Did you get questioned about that day not being your interview day?

If you have any other information you think is relevant, please add it. I really appreciate your time.

Hiya,
Please see below my answers.

1. No I didn't have an appointment. I showed up and joined the queue for Fast Track.
2. As per documents, I submitted my old passport, passport application, payment and acknowledgement forms along with the postal order.
3. £100 Postal Order is purchased from the Post Office. It should be addressed to Nigerian High Commission.
4. I was there before noon and I collected my passport around 1500 same day.
5. Well the man at the entrance asked if I had an appointment but I told him I was there for Fast Track.

Like I previously stated, the initial process is quite chaotic but once your old passport and documents have been vetted ( whoever is in charge would sign to indicate its for Fast Track) you'll be allowed into the premises for submission and biometrics.

Regarding your response, I will state my experience, thus...

On 13/09/2020, I went for Biometric, without invitation. I followed the advice of one of us, as per obtaining £100 for Fasttracking...but, it was almost a frustrating day. As, they insisted there was no fast tracking done that day.

Long story, short...

God caused some form of confusion and I was taken in through Gate 1, and was assisted to have my data captured that day...Now awaiting my passport, which I was told, will be sometime, 2nd week of October.

Conclusively, I will say, they seem to have days for fast tracking, which is a bit of luck, and I was meant to understand that it depends on availability of passports (whether true or false...)

Best of luck guys!!!

Good evening house, its been a while. Please has anyone been able to renew their Nigerian passport in London this year?

Please what is the process? Is there appointment date now or there's another way of doing it aside the appointment date thing?

Also, what are the detailed documents one needs to take along with them to the NHC London for passport renewal and a first Nigerian passport for a 3 years old kid.

Thanks and God bless

Good pm bro.. If I may ask, then how long or after how many weeks was your passport made ready? And was it sent to your address or you went to collect it? Thanks

Please, I applied for my passport renewal earlier this year before the re-introduction of fast track services this may. I do not know how I can change to the fast track. Please anyone with a piece of useful information should advise me on what to do.

Howdy folks? Enjoying the excellent responses to requests on here. May almighty God bless all of you for your compassion and patience. I have an appointment for PASSPORT RENEWAL, payment documentation etc is intact, however I too reside in the North of England and so making subsequent journeys is not in my plans. On the NHC website they indicate that FAST TRACK is only from WEDNESDAY-FRIDAY 1PM? so my confusion is two fold.

1. As I already have an appointment I will attend but hope to arrive before 11-12pm and request the FAST TRACK (if available on that day)? Wednesday? What of THURSDAY? Friday? Is FAST TRACK from Wednesday to Friday? or just on Wednesday's and Friday's from 11am till 1pm? Need clarification ASAP my people. No drama is the prayer but we know how our country matter be.

2. The PAYMENT for FAST TRACK is also confusing as on the NHC website they mention £100 + £20 processing fees? = £120 total or just £100?
(This is essential to avoid any drama on the day) Of course I will try to cover the additional if necessary but your excellent advice on here would be most greatly appreciated.

Thank you
