Nothing last forever, but before Messi and Ronaldo records will break it will take a century.

grin Messi should have left Barca two years ago when his Career reputation was a bit still intact but rather decided to stay put because of his deluded fans that was still leading him on. When Juve lost out last week his fans came out hard on CR7 but now I believe they can eat their words and walk away with their tails in between their legs. To me I still believe CR7 is a better and more prestigious GOAT than Messi in this era!! grin

Cr7 scored twice in his effort to carry JUV to the semi. How much goals did Messi score last night?

Cristiano Ronaldo is a living god. The God of Football.

Now it's clear for all to see that Messi is highly over rated and overpaid
cheesy cheesy cheesy

Neymar is a far more better player than him. If we're being honest to ourselves, Messi should be ranked as the 4th best player after Ronaldo, Neymar, Lewandowski.
Delusional.

so all the signing dey v bin making are what? from De Jong to Coutinho to Guiezzman. Guy better wake up... ur team isn't getting young either. majority of the spine are past 30
all those signings are wrong signing that barca didnt need from the start, whats coutinho doing in barca dt dnt allow a free playing midfielder apart from messi?? whats griezman dt dnt even fit d pattern of d club doing in barca??
i jus said all of them were wrong singing n dts why dey all failed, i dnt expect pep to make such signings in this barca squad, its better to invest in the la masai dt wasting money on big names dt would end up as flops...dt ma point

i dnt agree with your opinion because we all know that lionel messi still have a lot to offer to barca and to football generally, barca jus need to make quality signings, get a new coach with a new game plan because this barca looks too predictable and the work load on messi is too much..
the funny thing is that if messi decides to leave barca next season, almost all top European clubs would que with their huge pay cheques even the club this mr o.p is supporting..
barca and messi had a very bad day last nite bt i knl messi would easily get over it because he is used to it and besides he had punished alot of clubs for many years..
You’re not getting it, The team is built around Messi and if he flop eventually the team is floping too so it’s time they let go of him and get other young lads to take over, if not they will start struggling like Manchester United trying to rebuild the team.

Barcelona Defence conceded 18 goals in the last 3 UCL QF/SF games!!!

Barcelona needs rebuilding starting from the Defence!!

yes i get ur point and barca best bet is getting more quality player, maybe a neyma dt would take d load off messi, a player dt would stand up wenever messi flops...
a quick reminder, dt barca come back against PSG wouldn't have been easy without neyma because messi was kinda lost in most part of dt game, neyma really won dt game for barca and dt game wouldn't b possible assuming barca had only messi to depend on as it is now....dts my point.

No. Shout out to Bartomeu and the entire Barca board who keep pampering Messi, ignoring players like Coutinho, Dembele and Greizmann. These are players in their prime but they are brushed aside because of Messi.

Neymar left for the same reason.

Well i hope they renew his contract to 2030. He must deliver them the Champion's League and La Liga trophy. That's what he's being paid for.

Personally, I think it is. Messi's magic has waned and this has rubbed off on the whole team, as Barcelona has built its team around Messi.

Messi has to create, score and he has been doing ever since his debut but the burden is now to big for his 33 year old shoulders and without support from the midfield and attack he seems useless.

Bayern Munich were the latest team to capitalize on the fast depleting dominance of Messi and Barcelona. Last night's match seems to be the last straw that broke the camel's back for me.

Football has cycles and rotation of dominance. There is a time for teams to dominate, deteriorate and rebuild. Sadly, it's Barcelona's turn and the sooner they let go of Messi, the better for both parties.

I love Ronaldo and I'm a Cr7 fan but it has not in anyway compromised my opinion.

Messi, take a bow or next season you'd get knocked out in the UCL group stage and if the teams in La Liga sit up you'd end up in a struggle for Top 4.

Barcelona, it's time to make the hard decision. The romance has been beyond Hollywood but Messi's best years are over and you have a Herculean task ahead of you to rebuild this team. I mean, it's so glaring that you are have a Southampton team with Messi in it.

It would cost you a lot like Manchester United and AC and InterMilan and Liverpool and Arsenal. But when that cycle hits you, the sooner you realise and disintegrate and rebuild with sound values while retaining a good club culture the better.

Losses of this magnitude is never one man fault. It is a team or coaching error issue. I’m a Ronaldo fan bt I can’t blame Messi for this loss. He can’t possi do everything especially against such a strong side.

If it was a small score line and Barca didn’t score or get chances I wud probably blame Messi for not creating chances or scoring to win bt not when Ure conceding such goals. It’s more than a one mans issue or blame. The team is faulty.

He is still a world class player like many others, but he is no longer exceptional.

And then when you consider his age, it's time for Barcelona to cash out.

If they don't they will suffer later when it's time to replace him.
