But this word, no idea other than it being used as comic word most times.
Shalaye=Explain. Always resist the urge to shalaye (explain) grin There are some explaining you'll do) attempt that's tantamount to waste of time.

Thanks for the information. At the bold below, has always featured in the comment section of most guys.

Always resist the urge to shalaye

In real life, it is very important and applicable. Didn't know that, it was applicable in public space using such statement.

Is there any history behind it? Like being used in a movie or where someone prominent used it? Or was it stated by a nairalander before it went viral?

It trended on Twitter at some point, don't really know if someone prominent pioneered it but some of these celebs jumped on it I believe.

It's a Yoruba word (ṣ’àlàyé), you say something and you're asked to explain, so for some even after all the explanations, they ask to to 'Shalaye' further so you have to receive the urge. It is quite applicable in different scenarios grin

Must y’all criticize and rant
Is it hard to just ignore comments just enjoy OP’s story

If you need to fight, just create a thread and continue your fight there

Abeg Justwise, ban all these “noisemakers” and thread derailers
This is getting overboard

It’s funny how Ugoerico logs out and you log in. Considering he was the one the op told to “take ur ass off this thread”. I believe you are the same person as Ugoerico with a fake profile. Makes sense

Where in Osun state can I find a good language school?
Specifically German? I would appreciate your help.

First go to Oau, then take a bike and say you're going to market, they will ask that where in market are you going, say 'Language place".

Hope this helps

Are you guys for real?? shocked shocked All these comments are as a result of the Op's view on racism?? I guess some people didn't learn from what happened the first time. Daniel's views and experiences are personal. Anyone with a different view should create his or her own thread. I'd be delighted to open, read and eventually follow such thread.

Criticism doesn't end well. It leads to argument, then to condemnation, then to fight. It is left for the parties involved to exercise self-control. Guys you don't have to reply to every post.. Let it slide! We are here to enjoy Daniel's thread.

Justwise has already posted "racism was not the purpose of this thread but just a mention". Seeing Daniel's pictures and review of Berlin makes me happy. It makes one feel like he /she is in Germany already, so lets relax and enjoy the thread.

PS: You guys should limit the way you use those big grammars, atimes it makes one experience difficulty when trying to understand a sentence, if not for dictionary......... Simple English words should do. This is common amongst Nigerians. Make una no do pass the people wey get the language.
