Student Dies While Trying To Rescue A Man Being Electrocuted In Nasarawa (Photos)

IgbereTV reports that a final year student in the Department of Biology Education, Nasarawa State University, identified as Haruna Zaidu, has lost his life while trying to rescue a trader who was being electrocuted at the GSM market in Keffi, the state capital on Monday, August 17.

According to IgbereTV reports, a mobile phone repairer, Junaudu Shaibu was about to pick up his tools when he was electrocuted by a nearby high tension wire. Zaidu had tried to rescue Shaibu when he got electrocuted as well. He has since been buried according to Islamic injunctions. His family and friends have taken to social media to mourn his demise.

To add to what Pastor has said up there, we need to be conscious of our safety whenever we attempt to come to people's rescue. Life is very fragile, and though our intentions may be right, but we must analyze situations carefully before jumping in to rescue a victim. RIP Sir.

A brave soul is gone... This is a strong message to us to "rekindle our love for our neighbours."

Remember, Christ's, Stephen's, Peter's and others' deaths strongly passed a message to rekindle our love for our neighbours and others at large..

-No matter how prepared you are as a Christian, you are likely to miss heaven when you don't extend your humanitarian love and services to your neighbours and others at large.

-So, preparing for spirit realm (heaven) and totally neglecting the physical (bodily) duty is not enough too... This is a warning message too!

The amount of high tension incident death this week is alarming and shows how careless we are as a people. I'm sure PHCN isn't bothered enough to think it is time for some routine maintenance.
