Nairaland is a business. The objective of any business is to make money.

The brain behind establishing nairaland is to make money. So, anything that you see on front page is what will make money for the owner.

If you don't like it, learn how to like it.

All those crazy bbnaija and Ned posts you're seeing on front page are sponsored and paid for.

In nairaland, everything is business!

This is Nigeria man. The only thing most people think about is only money, 98% of their brains are only about money, take am like that. I'm thinking of making a new forum for not only developers or computer scientists but scholars of all fields, where you can post journals and papers on topics related to your field and even give out tutorials and all. The money made from the site will be shared to all those who post those papers and journals and also to those who teach. The problem now is... I hate HTML.

e yafff died ooo grin

Did you just say NL was like Stack Overflow? Haba take it easy with the comparison. NL tech section, etc was great and very resourceful, no doubt. In fact, I remember when I was in high school, as a guest I'd check Google for my assignments and lots of informational articles from this forum will be in the top search results. Unlike now undecided But again, I don't think there was ever a time NL (this section) was like Stack Overflow.

SO is on another level abeg. cool

If you greet the Anambra man in the morning, what does he respond with? "Money, nwannem". Revive the section the best way you can. If you keep waiting for others to do so, it will remain a graveyard.

It didn't die. The contents just became less interesting for me pre 2015 and maybe because of repetitiveness.

Exactly. Everything is based off money.

Nairaland is basically a profit venture now. I just take a look back and sometimes, all I see is degradation.

Hell, those accusations of paid writers are likely true; not even considering the LARGE amounts of shitposts I've endured seeing for the past 2 weeks.
Most make FP at the end.

Presence of unlimited trolling is another. They're everywhere now. One can't even cool off on actual talk anymore.

I try coming back at times, but I always get every reason to switch to other SM platforms again.
