I’m writing this with a very bitter heart right now .this story is 100% real pls I need a very good advice
When I got a bank Job few months before I concluded my Nysc , it was quite lucrative cause it was like seeing the regular 19800 as a corper then boom started receiving about 250k monthly . Honestly it was like a dream come through .
Firstly when I got the offer I called my best friend I was like “guy I’ve gotten a job o in bla bla bla “ he said “wow that’s good man how much are they paying you” . With a clean heart I told him , he was like guy that’s too small why am I sulking myself , the money I will make in 5 years I can see it in a month . He told me to leave the job and come and meet him in lekki that he will teach me internet fraud .
Knowing where I’m coming from , the job is my best offer I had to disconnect from him so it won’t look like I’m dulling . I started doing this job and honestly it’s not as rosy as it seems to be from the outside .
I’ve friends that started doing this internet fraud of a thing in less than 1 year they are made . They buy good cars , rent good houses (some have bought houses) , but we the “White collar guys “ can barely afford a car except we want to get a loan plan .
About 2 years ago my younger cousin finished from school and started doing this internet fraud , lo and behold now he got his mum a good car , rented good house for himself and living the life . My mum had to call me to tell me that am I sure that I won’t do into this ? I was shocked cause even my mum is now encouraging it but she never slept on my hustle .she knows I’m okay but she wants me to be a better person .i was in a neighborhood house party early this year that talk started again , they were all laughing at me saying they can never work white collar that it’s slavery . Fast forward to some time last week I was with some old uni friends we started gisting and as normal the talk came up gain . Guy you are too smart for that job you are doing , your mates dey lekki with houses and cars you dey dey answer yes sir up and down . Leave this thing and come join us . They even mentioned that when they were in school they used to call their uncles that worked white collar jobs for money thinking they were sure ,but they didn’t know those men were broke and packing that if they knew they would have called those their street uncles that they were scared of that would use them for rituals , they felt those their street uncles would relate better .
I’m just confused , ivent slept in weeks now cause I’m always thinking , I’m not even happy with the job I’m doing now . I need advice . I’m 24 years old

anything you find yourself doing please do it well and God will guide u. Either bank work or street work but las las use ur head

Baba, Unlike what u said, the banking job is not as easy as we c it. same Goes to yahoo job, they are so many things they are not telling you until u r ready to make the money. Are u not happy u av a rest of mind,apart from the stress at work. Y not plan your career while still earning wht u c as penny, Make a good plan for your future and c if deris any business you can do with your savings..

Funny part is that does guys cannot dash you 10k if u no belong!

It’s not about dashing me money . I have 2 smaller cousins in universities I placed on 15k monthly . It’s about peer pressure .

Even if I wanted to, the background I come from will not allow me. @ OP, if really your mum said that (and she's serious about it), then it's unfortunate. I may be wrong though, but from what I see, it's only a matter of time before you join internet fraud.

There is dignity in labour. Do your banking job , earn your pay and look for other legitimate source of side income. Fraud never pays and even if it does the end is terrible. You are still young with prospects. Grow in your career.

My question is what kind of mother encourages her son into fraud? That's sad.
