They paint us black, yet they travel to Africa, focus on vulnerable women to deceive them, infect them with the diseases they have and ditch them afterwards.

By the way, please tell us, how easy is it to learn the Russian language?

Do you also mind to share how you met your wife (the way you referred to her as 'your Russian wife' makes it sound like you have other wives in other countries grin)

Nice thread though.

Re: Nigerian In Russia-my Experience So Far by Flexvilla: 10:36am On Aug 24, 2020
I wanted to attack you violently on this skinhead issue because that is what stopped me from going to Russia for my masters degree over 14 years ago but you already gave me uppercut when you said that having a problem with the skinheads like dating their girlfriend could lead to them attacking you and I totally agree with you cos I met a Russian halfcast in Dubai whose father is Nigerian and he escaped from Russia to Dubai to complete his Bachellors degree cos the skinheads wanted him dead. He was dating the daughter of their leader in that town. I asked him of the skinhead issue and he showed me several scars on his face and body of how they tortured him and broke his head. I started thanking God that I made the right decision then not to study in Russia.

Although I believe at that time that they were targeting black people whether you had any business with them or not because it was a Russian lady that advised me not to go cos she told me that her conscience will judge her if I am killed or maimed in St. Petersburg cos she knows her people. The fact is that the skin heads were wicked to Africans and people who are not Russians before and the government was complacent about it except things have changed now. At that time it was a thing of chance, you may be unlucky to be attacked and may live there and not be attacked. FACT!

Although you are trying to change the narrative but I still believe that you need to live there for like 15 years and not suffer any attack before you can be confident that you are safe and from your story you seem to have been there for like 3 years. (Correct me if I am wrong).

On the other hand WHY WILL A NIGERIAN GLORY IN LIVING IN ANOTHER MAN’S LAND without “ACTIVELY” developing our own country?? Before you attack me or call me names, my own wife is British but I am heavily invested in Nigeria cos I believe Africa is the NOW and the FUTURE!!!

Austeen007:
The SkinHeadS? ok The Skin heads leader has openly made a statement that their mission isn't in anyway directed towards Africans OR bLACK PEOPLE LIVING IN Russia. and their movement isn't a race thing

I would want you to read about the skin head, make a research about them.

They are very a small group of people who doesn't in no way represent 147 million Russians. This Skins heads who still believes in the Nazi IDEAs Hitler left behind.

They are not ethnically Russians. Their lineage is traced back to the Nazi Germany whom their fore-parents ran away from Nazi Germany around 1940 to 1943.

There's also another small group comprised of the Jews whose parents also recued by the red army from the Nazi Germany and brought them to the USSR.

After the fall of the USSR in 1991, they were all granted citizenship in Russia. Now their offsprings is building such a weird idea.

They have the opinion that Blacks should stop marrying white people. They said we should stop experimenting. But this group is also a very small group thhat has been silenced by the Russian Government. This group is in no way representing the ethnic Slavic Russians or 147 million Russians

Now i want you to ask that your friend who you said was physically attacked what he did.

Ask him if he meddled with a girl who's dating any of the skinheads?

Or if he sold drugs on their block?

I have heard of the Skin Heads but never encountered them before. But i have seen their protests but this was not of recent.

I have also watched the leader of the skinheads in an interview by an American Social journalist (Black Woman).

The leader of the Skinheads said their movement is in no way against black people.

Some group of bullies might hide under the umbrella of the skinheads and do whatever they wish to anyone.

Talking about African Prostitutes in Russia.

Have you taken your time to make a research on the Russian Law on Prostitution? That Russian laws do not smile at that.

They crack down on prostitution in Russia isn't only geard toward African women practicing it here.

I have also seen videos of the crackdown on Russian women who does it too. Their PIMPS prosecuted and handed what Russians Call Straff.

Lets not look at issues from one angle where it suits us better.

I know Many Africans/Nigerians, who are successful in Russia. They visit Nigeria and still returns to Russia often. They all have their Russian red passports I know many who own businesses, married and have their children.

If you had read one of my replies before now, you would have read where i said their's no secured place in the world, the only thing is we have to learn how to do is how to be secured anywhere we find ourselves.

Even Nigeria isn't secured, you and i knows that like we know the veins that run through our back hands.

They're many things Nigerians do here that they'll not tell you in details which may have warranted your friend to be a target of what so ever groups hidding under the names of the Skin heads.

Ask your friend to check Properly, Russian are mixed with citizen from ther defunct ussr who are allowed to live and work here without visa.

Krugystani's, Uzbekistani's, Kazakstan, Armenia, Ukrainians Moldova etc. Most they Uzbeks and Dagekistans are the one carrying out all the bad things here in Russia. and we mistake them for the ethnioc Russians.

Every has a problem he/she would face living in America, France, Britain Germany we have seen alot of videos on the internet showing the racism and brutality on black people every where in the world. But we choose to turn a blind eye on it. But when it has to do with Russia we cry foul.

This reply isn't in any way stating that they aren't bad eggs amongst the ethnic Russians.

They goal for us is to learn how to stay safe away from troubles.

If you have any more questions about Russia i would be glad to answer to the best of my knowledge.

Russia is a good place to live only if you understand what to touch and what not to.

Bro no attack me oo. Though we need to have an understanding of how Russia works. St. Petersburg is another Oblast 2 days aways from Moscow
Oblast.

I have Africans in St. Petersburg who are doing well away from such ill experiences. any one can expereince anything anywhere not only in Russia.

But from my almost 3 years experience in i would say it's awesome.

They goal anywhere we find ourselve, is to make money and be safe.

The Russian girl who told you not to go to Russia didn't tell you the truth.

i Know why exactly she told you that

Experience is better than hearsay

The Skinheads cannot presently operate Publicly as the Russia govt is cracking down on such nuisance.

In 2018 Russia Ranked in the list of the safest countries in the world. here i walk in the Night till and enter my apartment anytime i wish no one has attacked me.

That doesn't mean there isn't any bad people in Russia but the minority should not be used to judge 147 million RUssians.

Talking about glorifying in another man land without actively developing Nigeria. Did you just neglect the Nigerias status quo?
Did the Nigeria govt make Nigerian land fertile?
After graduatign from the university one can seat at home fro almost 5 to 10 years without a meaningful job.

No start up loans for business ideas in Nigeria, to get you will chop sand.

Bro, people who leave abroad doing business also have investments or developements we have invested in Nigeria. And we are helping our Nigerian Econony through Remittance and some devs.

and most time we talk about Developing out country, Europe and US was it built by their common citizens? It is built by their govt making their land fertile for anyone to invest. Unlike in Nigeria.

Bro Abeg make we leave Nigeria matter.

We the common citizens are trying. But, our govt is a mess

Austeen nice one!
In the past I had never had any interest in Russia and Russians unless reading about thier major roles in international politics.

But fortunately or unfortunately one of my closest friends here in recent times happens to be a Russian. A young former Russian solider. He is married to a Russian too and they both relocated to Germany with thier baby.

The evolution of our friendship is quite funny, but till now I never regretted our both families becoming good friends. He tells me alot about Russia and Russians and I will share just a few funny ones I learnt about him and from him, starting from how we met and why I earlier termed it funny.

We met in an activity where we were definitely seeing ourselves closely almost everyday for a long period of time. The commonest greetings here is "Hallo" so it's very common to bid and receive a Hallo to/from someone.

Very strangely from this guy, most times when I bid him a Hallo, he looks at me and ignores me! Haba I wondered! Is this a lookdown or a racist attitude? I asked myself softly. Well as my people say back home "Onye kelee Sunny, Sunny ekelee ya"... I declared him undeserving of my Hallo, I then passed him by eachtime without recognizing if he existed. To my surprise again this dude would see me coming and say to me Halloo! Ah ah I ask my self again is this man ok? Ona añu ihe? Anyway I saw it not as an issue, for anytime he greets me I respond, but not gonna be greeting him first till I see we are somehow regular exchangers of Hallo. After some time we started exchanging casual pleasantries and started shaking hands. Yet still strangely, he responds to me today, and tomorow he looks at me and pass or ignore my Hallo... One day I met a common frend to both of us who is my close padi padi (a Romanian) and softly chipped in to him that I don't too understand the countenance and carriage of this Russian guy, he laughed and laughed and told me "hey nobody understands an average Russian!" That they are brought up like that...He asked me does any world leader understand Putin who is thier president? Saying Putin is the only world leader whose ethnicity in Russia remains unknown till today. Saying further that most times you can't read the mood of an average Russian, hian! I be no get interest on them shaa so I no know.

Fastforward to when we finally became friends(some fortunate incidents later made us very close frends).
He and his family visit my own family regularly and we dine and wine together, honouring thier own regular invitations too with very nice Russian and German meals from them.

He shows/tells me so many things.

Culture and Traditions: Russia has very beautiful cultures and traditions. And some of them are also akin to the difrent regions of the country. One funny one was during his wedding video clip, I watched a tradition in which a set of guests during the Reception were lined up to have a bite of a very very large sized bread, whoever bites the largest chunk, becomes the new couple's God's parent(s) hahahha very funny... thier wedding arrangement is same with what we do in naija (No wonder we call it white wedding)..

They also have so many superstitious beliefs like Nigerians lols...I suprise too oh because I thought it's only Africans that have superstitions.

Languages: there are also many Russian dialects, many parts don't understand many other parts too.

Development: Russia is a developed country but, from what I learnt from him and my personal research on them. Russian's development is not all-inclusive like for example the western Europe where you can never and ever see any city no matter how remote or small that lacks any amenity/infrastructure Or that has a lower standard of living or quality of life than the bigger cities, all na same. But Russia is not like that. He told me that there are parts of Russia where u can't find all the drugs you need in the pharmacy shop, and some if you find them thier very high price indifference will scare you.

Back to positive, I learnt too that Russia has the world's longest and most sophisticated underground train station at Saint Petersburg! And he has suggested we visit, but I declined.

Their Knowledge about Blacks: The wife told my wife and I that since her life this is the first time she's having the opportunity of talking to a black person or even coming close to one and that it's her pleasure. I was suprise shaa. I asked the hubby what about him, and he said as an active soldier he was often seeing some black military officers coming to Russia for courses and training and most times they are from the Nigerian Military. I shock oo cos we node see the impacts of the training for Naija security matter...

He gave me a quite impressive encounter with a Naija soldier. He said he got a shock a day he conversed at length with a Naija soldier in Moscow in Russian language, that the naija soldier spoke Russian with 100% accuracy, and that more shoking is that he spoke without accent, that no Russian can listen to him and without seeing him and belive that the voice and speech is coming from a foreigner how much more a black. He said he can't forget that encounter.

Finally Russia as a country (i dont mean Russians oh) in my conclusion and findings is a very very very DENJALOS country. Giving U.S and EUROPE a fly in thier scrotum, you beat it and wound yourself, leave it and still wound yourself.

I'm typing with phone joor I don tire

Bro Who told you the System of Job in RUssia is 12hours?

Are you trying to say that Russian work round the clock? Even in Nigeria we dont have system of work to be 12 hours lol.

In Russia people work 3-4 days and get off days of 2 to 4 days (Ughadnoe).

Students work here. When the school closes for the semester you can have time to work. Also, students who are on part-time programme can have time to work Including those on full time can take a job too. That were time mamnagement comes in.

And for the language you said 80% Minimum? lol.

How can 80% language proficieny be classed as minimum? lol!

They are many Nigerians who works here with just less than 20 % accuracy of the language. I know people that i speak the language better than in Russia that works without the proficienty of the language. Just Basic.

You need an in-depth level of language understanding in a higher positions and in a positions where the traffic to interact with Russians often is high.

All you have written is correct.

But i still want you to explain absolute what you mean by all the jobs in Russia is 12 hours Minimum.

And for the law that was cancelled understand on thing. Russia is trying to accomodate citizen of the old ussr first before any other national. if you had listened to one of putin's interviews.

But atleast students can work a little job in Russia unlike schools in Malaysia etc.

Thank you my brother for your explanation. Though, i have lived in RUssia for almost 3 yrs now, i have taken my time to assimilate with the Russia culture, their lifestyles and have made many RUssian freinds.

Many Nigerians comes to Russia with the hope of making millions in a 6 months, go back to Nigeria Buy Benz. neglecting patience.

"person wey plant seed, must water the seed to germinate, care for and one day it will begin to bear fruits.

But most of our Nigerian brother are too desperate."

Like you said; i'm married to a Russian woman, and many of my experinces are first hand as i travel places in Russia and ask historical questions and confirms it with my wife. as she herself has read many books and is acquinted with the anything Russian.

With my personal experience in Russia, coupled with my Russian wife, i think iknow a bit.

Atleast your testimony of your position in Russia can penetrate the ears of most people who thinks they're aren't Nigerians surviving in RUssia.

We're surviving.

Thanks bro

My brother your experience about Russia is well vast, it true that travelling is education.

TALKING ABOUT GREETINGS IN RUSSIA: first when i came to Russia i came with the Nigerian mentality of greeting almost everyone i saw. But i often get ignored.

I almost defined it as racism. Until i began to study them closely and realized that they do not even greet themselves.

Though, i have Russian friends who often call me to come join them play football. So i took the opportunity to ask them.

“why do Russians ignore responding to greetings?" they said "most Russians do not respond to greetings, if they do not know you," They'll only respond to greeting and begin to acquaint with you only if they know who you're.

I asked also asked my Russian wife, she said the same thing. In observance i also noticed she do not also greet people except they ones she knows.

But on some occasion most of them will approach you to start a conversation with you. "Individual difference." Mostly the ones that knows little in English.

Russians can ignore your greeting but when they keep seeing you often, knowing you, they'd be the ones to hail you first. So i began to understand them that way.

Ignoring greeting isn't a general thing for 147 million Russians.

Even though they might ignore your greeting but when you stop them and ask for directions, the same person who didn't respond to your greetings can ask you to get into his car and he'll drop you on the address or give you a proper direction.

Dating Russian girls/women could be quite simple or difficult.

This is dependent on some factors like;

Communication, and individual differences.

Russian women may frown at you if you cant communicate in Russian. But when one shows the zeal trying to commumicate in Russian thats a plus which create the chances of a girl falling for you. Definitely they'll love it that you want to learn their language to be able to communicate with them. That will automatically make them your first Russian language tutor.

hmmm! i know that funny things through your mind right now reading those lines. well student the chop teacher na! aha no be new thing. Afterall Emmanuel Macron the president france married he's school teacher lol!

Another thing is in the word "African" sounds powerful to them not in military sense ooo.

i ones communicated with few Russian women on Badoo, they were able to open up while they prefer African men to Eurasian and European men. the reason is that we are strong in bed, compared to their men.

They said we have they courage to approach a woman on the street and ask her out, but their men are cowards at that.

some said our men knows how to treat their women as queens, and that they envy our women alot with big behind and curves.

Another is the uniqueness of our skin tone, "many of the Russian people i have met do not refer to our skin colour as Black. Rather, they refer to our skin tone as "chocolatki" in other words, Chocolate.

They truth is that Humans loves unique things, so is Russian women. They'll want to move around with you holding your hands and showing you off. You know how we feel in Nigeria when we return to Nigeria with our Oyibo lol!

One of the Russian Women i used to have, ones wanted to kiss me in front of very elderly women sitting in a bus stop waiting for Bus. My African instincts of awareness flipped in. And i immediately fringed. She frowned and got pissed.

Later i told her in my country Nigeria, we do not kiss on the street and if we have to do that, definitely not in front of the elderly.

You Know what it is like in Nigeria Na? Before mama nkechi will go and tell my mama and papa say she saw me at the bus stop kissing person pikin Lol!

Another, thing that will land you a Russian Woman is; you must have a job in Russia, their women loves team work in a relationship. But you could be lucky like me that got a woman who don't care about my money, she supports me all the time when i do not have 1 ugandan shilling LoL!

But to date Russian woman, you must be ready to go everywhere and anywhere with her oo, they are often proud of their boyfriend or husbands. Me self done tire to hold hands for street. And kissing is every day thing, if you don't kiss them it mean you don't love them and they'll voice it out and frown at it.

Another thing that may push a Russian woman to decline your proposal, is when you don't look responsible or behave immature, but when they love you, they love you.

Another is that you must have the proper documents, but if you're also luck like me, you'd get a woman that will love you and help you get all your proper documents of residence and subsequently the super passport.

But, many of them have this impression that we're marrying them because we need to lay our hands on Russian citizenship. And thereafter dump them and bring in our Nigerian women. Yes they often say it. This is the main reason they might decline your proposals.

But the fact remains that many of them who are married to Nigerians have lasted 20 years in their relationship/marriage more than their men would.

A lot of Africans, Americans are married to Russian women and they're enjoying it.

Please if you have any specific questions about dating Russian women please do not hesitate to ask, i will be please to write a reply based on first-hand experience.

This is a nice thread, Austeen007. With what you have wrote up here I'm beginning to have a very soft spot for Russians wink. However, I lost interest totally in the country when I did a currency conversion between their Ruble and our Naira.
