I have a problem
I don't know what's wrong with me.... This all started in 2018 when I began chasing MBBS...
I made a lot of sacrifices and choices which actually helped me get here, but I still kinda regret some of 'em.
Some were immature and not well thought out, but I like to console myself with the mantra that I did the right thing.
I cut myself away from everyone apart from my parents, and I have just one pal... Most of the peeps I talk to are on SM alone.
I catch myself daydreaming and talking to myself, as though it seems im talking to someone in my head... It feel so real and I am building a fantasy world in my head, I don't know but google says im schizophrenic.. Or something

I talk to myself for minutes saying gibberish conversations, sometime up to 30 mins. My parents are worried though they won't show it..

The people I cut off have moved on, and I'm here longing for what I lost. Is this madness?

I got MBBS, but at what cost?
Was I too stringent and extreme in my methods? Reading from 10am to 5pm everyday for almost a year?
Leaving all my friends just to concentrate, I even hurt some in the process?
Why did I do that?,
Believe me, I'm not trolling.
Hmmmm.... Bro don't worry
Good things don't come easy, you're suffering from long term isolation.. How can you read that hard for that long without having consequences?
Just keep calm, you'll have many friends when you go to school

do you have migraine headache?
Take it easy on urself. Slow and steady,go win the race
change ur routes, engage doing something pending the time school reopen, maybe a visit to a far relative or just learn some kind hand work, just to avoid isolation
most importantly, get more sleep...free ur mind from thoughts
do things that makes you happy everytime.
Just forget about whatever hurts you, those memories may appear in form of flash back, all you need now is to be more concious of yourself and cry to God when those memories flies
A visit to a psycologist too go do
take care bro

There's been no final decision about Unilorin this year. As it is now, it seems it's 50% post-utme exam and 50% screening. The only things we applicants can do is to prepare for the exam so if eventually it comes up, we will not be caught unaware.

Hello, pls I don't know whether I have a problem or not. I need an advice/help.
I checked my dashboard/profile and I found out that the date of my birth was not there.
I contacted Jamb through their support link about it. They replied to my msg saying that it is general among all the 2020 candidates. That everyone's date of birth isn't in their profile.

Is that true?
I don't want a story that touches the heart.

I will suggest you take your complaint to the school. They're in the best position to resolve this issue.

OR you can contact HON CC UGWU on Facebook. He is the admin of UNN FRESHER'S GUIDE. He might help you reach out to the school. He is reliable.

Wow!!
This thread is really old!!
Now i immagine people that passed through here when they were 18, 19 and are now practising in their 40s and 60s even before i got in in 2017.

3yrs after, i see people still studying for jamb, same route i took, same fear, same depression (pass jamb, fail post utme, write another year, pass jamb, pass post utme, do not meet cutoff, write another year, low jamb, pass post utme, given another course, write another year) years and years past, until you get in not knowing there is a greater deal ahead called MB which you wount meet until uve spent additional 3yrs after getting in...and if You fail, you start afresh from jamb.

Indeed, Medicine is spiritual, it is a Trap!!! You sell your soul, ur mind, social life and happiness. Dont go into it if you dont have passion for it.

When you pass MB, the happiness you get will eventually quench all ur pains in two seconds...you become bold, proud, confident. all three in one person.
Your joy and fufilment will become forever...you will be respected all the days of your life.

If only you are strong enough to cross to the other side of life, then..take a walk through medicine.
Medicine is for the bold.
It is spiritual.
All hail any practising doctor.
Special salute goes to UNN graduates...you guys went through the real hell.

Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Dsplendid: 12:46pm On Aug 30, 2020
Well, just like in most federal universities, Unizik MBBS admission qouta is split into merit, catchement and Elds aside connection things.
What I don't know is the percentage of the qouta given to each category but I suppose Merit should take the highest.
Unizik don't admit far more than their quota which probably is 120.
Although there's a rumour recently that it has increased to 150.
I'm yet to confirm it.
If you're from the south east, you stand a chance in getting in through merit, catchement or in the case you come from Ebonyi, you can be considered in the three categories.
Last year's cut off was 310.5 for merit.
