Them don dey try but still, this crap is overpriced.
The OS first of no just dey at all. Compared to the like of miui, oxygenos and oneui this xos is honestly crappy asf
Secondly, that bottom bezel is a turn off. Comeon infinix, the world has gone past that kinda huge bottom bezel long ago and here they are slapping it on their "flagship" angry
Thirdly, like wtf is wrong with them? The G90t is a powerful processor thanks to redmi note 8 pro for showing us that but come on, Is snapdragon that hard to make a deal with? Why not atleast for the sake of their dying reputation use an SD chip for once and see how much review they'll get But then again, I'm sure if they decide to use an SD, They prolly be stupid and use an outdated version like SD 500 grin

Seems like infinix is stepping up their hardware now.
Let's hope their software can keep up.

I still don't think I'll can use an infinix or a Tecno ever again though

lol, I can see you desperately latching on to things to criticise but you fail to make any valid argument. You're asking for SD but the G90T is the most powerful chip in its price point.

You might just be right, I'm desperately criticizing them for wasting my money on their mediore device with stupid specs then passing it off as a gaming phone cus i didn't know kuch about phones then. But then again, i know the g90t is best at it's pricepoint but infinix has a way of making hardwares seem crappy asf when they use it on they devices. For a better comparism and perspective, if it were to be xiaomi putting out a new device(disregarding that they already have a few) with mediatek g90t processor for the first tims and then on the otherside you have infinix again, putting out this shii with g90t, which would you instantly trust more to proof value for your cash not just in the short term but also for the longterm(software updates, relevance and resell value) even without u trying either of these particular devices initially, solely just by how much brand awareness and trust botg if them have, which do you think you'd pick?

This is to tell you that Mediatek are now much powerful than they used to be and are now making super processors such as the Dimensity 1000+. Even the latest Xiaomi china exclusive Mi 10 ultra use it again. But you ses infinix ehn, no matter how much powerful the chip is, they seem not to be able to access its maximum power and then end up solving it by throttling the system after it starts over-heating(which shouldn't happen too often on the g90t as seen on the redmi note 8 pro but i bet you infinix will screw it up) due to heavy usage. A throttled high end processor is worse than a poor performance low end processor(ask any gamer) cus you know you paid more for it but you aren't getting it, so its basically you paying more for less.

I think your whole argument here is based on perception but not solid facts. Personally my best feature on this phone is the 90hz display which I know is only possible coz of the powerful processor. But in any case this is new territory for Infinix since they have never produced a really powerful phone so I will put all negative stereotypes aside and see how this all plays out. From what I see the Note 7 has been a stellar performer and I don't see any problems with the G70 so I see absolutely no reason why the Zero 8 should be the one getting issues.

My only worry with this phone is that the pricing is going to be high. Not because of unfair pricing but because there are no options for lower storage variants so we are basically forced to buy an 8GB/128GB phone yet for some of us a 6GB/64GB would've been sufficient.

The only thing I can not defend regarding Infinix is when it comes to software updates. I know they do send out the monthly security patches but you can't trust that this phone will get the next Android version. But for me that's not a deal breaker.

Succinct
Reasonable
Apt

The way you actually sided infinix shows you know what you're doing.

I dey beef transsion. But you're very correct. That dude is just cherry picking. For the price (seems it won't be more than 120k), it is a good competitor to the likes of Redmi Note 9 pro and the Samsung a71. Infinix did well here. Anyone who says otherwise is a noisemaker

I'm not a fan of transsion but surely if this thing is priced according to what is being speculated online , I dont see any reason why anyone would pick a Redmi in same category over this other than that wawa diamond shaped camera style that makes the phone look childish, the phone is really well specced as you have succinctly put it

Calling a phone that comes with 90hz refresh rate scrap when the Redmi note 9 pro doesn't is just you been a blind follower bro. I'm a Xiaomi fan any day anytime, but not a blind follower. You're right in infinix not giving updates and all and truly, that makes a difference. But calling this phone scrap is just not it. Infinix really did a good job. And if rumours are true and this phone costs 120k or below, it's actually a very good competitor to the Redmi note 9 pro. Pipe down a little

I think the only meaningful reason anyone would pick the Redmi note 9 pro over this should be updates. Infinix rarely send updates for their devices. The diamond shaped camera style isn't bad. Every manufacturer is coming up with new styles for the many cameras in their phones. iPhone 12 pro looks like a gas stove grin

Niggarrr am entitled to my opinion, this is Transsion we are talking about, I don't believe them at all, moreover how do you trust a brand that strives on deceit to sell their products, I'm a strong critic of those brand, criticisms inspire creativity. Wait for the price shocker.

But the way they did the gas stove made it desirable, this diamond thing be like a real chinko crap and the back looks like glossy plastic it makes it look cheap, a matte design would have been better and you're right about the updates , especially as it's not even an android one device

Well, just like you said earlier, Xiaomi really made them sit up. They know Xiaomi are pulling the ranks now. If they are still to stay afloat in the Nigerian market, they must learn quickly. They tried in using a better chipset in the note 7. At least, it shows they're listening to criticisms. I expect them to get better. Price wise, I'm sure it won't be more than 120k. And that would be perfectly ok for what it packs

Lol. Different strokes for different folks. You need to see how many persons are mocking the iPhone 12 pro camera design. The Redmi note 9s/pro looks like someone's face grin. And i kinda like the glossy back finish. It's catchy to me. Except you're giving me metal or glass. A matte design on it would have made the design very boring IMO

No p, price wise it will be over priced as usual. It's the same g90t on redmi note 8 pro xiaomi sold for 80 to 85k there about so even 120k for same processor note 8 pro is over pricing

That's not true when you factor marketing and installation of service centers , taxing and other things . Which xiaomi doesn't have here so they both can't be similarly priced , its like expecting jumia and slot to have same price for an item , that's realistically not possible

117k doesn't seem over priced to me, it's a very reasonable price considering the dollar to naira exchange rate atm.
When Xiaomi sold rn8pro, we all know the exchange rate wasn't the same besides the device has a 90hz refresh rate on top of it
IMO there's nothing overpriced about the phone o at all considering naira value and the specs, they did well.
P.S This is coming from a Xiaomi fan. I use rn9s
