A brother needs your help in Abuja, a job will be really appreciated before hunger go kill person. Times are hard at the moment and business is slow. Even if it's to get a car for transport purpose or anything that one can be using to sustain for the time being.
Thank you.

In abuja you are either very wealthy or you are wretched. There is no middle ground. You will find out that even the people who claim to be doing fairly well are actually wretched and are just putting up appearances. If your salary is not up to 1m a month you can't live comfortably there. The prepare yourself. No friend in abuja. Even your relatives dont know you. The only time people will say hi to you is only when they think they can get something from you.

even in Maitama

Don't mind them, pure water is #10, while bottle water is #100. They're just condemning Abuja. I don't think they live here

There are people who are landlords here in Abuja, they are not wealthy, flamboyant but they make ends meet, you can't say they are wretched. Do u know what wretched means?

Chairman I know what Im talking about. The cost of living in abj is outrageous. Whatever money you think you make just fizzles out. I say wretched because almost everyone you meet is trying to keep up appearances and leech off others. Being a landlord doesnt mean anything. I have managed houses for my parents. My guy the money you collect for 2 years rent if you are not carful that is what you will spend in rennovating the house after tenants have finished trashing it ( depending on the type of tenants you have).

Why do you think I no longer live in abuja? Honestly I'd rather live in a depressing place like Kebbi and collect 100k a month than live in abj and collect 400k a month. At least in Kebbi there are no distractions so you can save money and over time start something. Your 400k a month in abj is useless

That's your own mentality but to some people no amount is too high for their comfort.. The serenity and standard of living coupled with opportunities for social networking in places like Maitama, Wuse 2, Asokoro and the likes is worth the rent paid IF you can afford it.

Re: What Is The Cost Of Living In Abuja?? by Decallmemartin(m): 2:29am On Sep 05, 2020
Oga there is cost of living everywhere in the world. This simply gives you an estimated average cost for your expenses.
Offpoint:
There's no such thing as a cost of living in any place, it all depends on the area you choose to live.

We might live in the same area, same rent and our cost of living differs.

You might bought a cup of rice N50 and the guy next door gets his at the cost of N30.

Abuja is for those cimimals, most especially the government sector and a few shrewd business men. let me give you an example, if on average you spend around 50~60k monynly, in Abuja you go spend like 100k. That's aside house rent and bills too.

To be honest it's a beautiful state, BUT TO ME, ANYTHING THAT MAKES LIKE HOLES ON MY ACCOUNT ain't worth it, even a woman.

Ordinary small piece of chicken and rice 1.5k, ordinary pure water of #5 naira na #20 in Abuja. in short, people are just scamming each other to see who get money pass.

The Landlord's are the biggest scammers, small self contain with room and parlour, they will start calling 1 mil. Thieves
Where in Abuja is pure water #20? grin And who told you, you cant get cheaper yet plentier food in mini restaurants? Abuja is expensive, but please it's not as crazy as you put it out.

To her she don upgrade and will start putting price anyhow
Oga bottled water is #100 in most restaurants. Haaba

ABJ is a place where the kind of job you do would determine the amount you spend on a daily bases.

I prefer Abuja to Lagos a thousand times

It actually depends on your choice of location, just budget at least 200-250k for accommodation in any of the above listed average areas like kubwa, Lugbe, Karu
what of gariki? Are houses there within that range?
Re: What Is The Cost Of Living In Abuja?? by Nobody: 5:18am On Sep 05, 2020
You see that bolded ehn. Don't try it. That place is a slum, no better house in that area, just one dirty area like that. If you want to stay in that environ and it's not federal housing authority side na rubbish. House wey you no fit invite person come, to spoil everything no water system, no road because it's not a permanent residential area, so better structures are not allowed.
nkemdi89:
You can get a spacious one bedroom flat at kuje axis for 350k , in lugbe area from 80k above ( around car wash and zone 5, but no good road ) , they have good estates around lugbe where their boys quaters go as much as 200 to 300k , then at aco estare around 400k for I bedroom, from lugbe to town for transport depending on the area , secetariat 150, same with area one to 3, Jabi one drop too, same with wuse and Berger to utako. You can get comfortable selfcon at Karu site and jikwoyi around 150 above , but the problem of that road is hold up in the morning and evening, from AYA you can find your way to anywhere. While kubwa and gwarinpa axis one bedroom flat go for as much as 1.5million , no holdup and good road. Apo is 400 for selfcon, same with life camp and jabi . There are so many estate within lugbe area , better still make use of jiji to compare the cost of house in Abuja. Food is cheap in Abuja, they have lot of markets
