Warning : Graphic story

In those days of firing squad in Nigeria, there was one we went to watch that involved 16 condemned criminals. But one of them was a notorious "Odeshi" boosting criminal. He was the one most people came to watch. In fact, most people betted that he would never die by the guns. Usually, 2 soldiers were given one criminal to execute, so there were 32 soldiers altogether. After the preparations of the drums, the criminals were tied to each drum and the soldiers had their normal parade, then prayers were offered by the priest.

The final moment came. At the command of the leading solider, bullets rained and the smell and sound of hot metals (the bullets colliding with the drums) and gun powder filled the air. From a distance where the watching crowd gathered at the opposite end of the field, I could see red vapor of blood rising in the air from each drum stand. Blood spattered and dripped all over them. Some died at the sound of the gun, some at the first shot, most after a while. We knew because we could see their heads dropped over their chests. However, a medical examiner also approached them to confirm that they were actually dead. How they even thought anyone would survive it still beats my imagination. Ironically, the "Odeshi" criminal did not die. His head was still up. He was the last one standing of the 16.

The way the soldiers worked as a team was to join their next neighbor once their own assigned criminal was confirmed death. Therefore, as the number of criminals reduced, the number of soldiers facing the remaining ones increased. Finally, it was this last one standing versus 32 soldiers. Till today, I wish I had unseen what I saw that day. The down pour of bullets, the ripping of flesh and the dismemberment of individual body parts. The soldiers made a perfect circle on his chest with bullets, which eventually gave way and the pound of flesh landed on the ground creating a blood filled tunnel on his chest. That was when his head dropped. The doctor found his way through the mess and nodded in affirmation.

It was the end of the man with "Odeshi" as the soldier marched away to allow the city undertakers scoop what was left of his remains and nailed the coffin.

Hmm. Well written.

So,in essence, the higher the barrage, the weaker the juju bulletproof?

It's marriage, a commitment, not a death sentence. Everytime i look into my daughter's eyes, i always see what i missed while being a bachelor.

You won't understand this though. Anyways, try getting a child in wedlock or if you like, out of wedlock. There's no closure than those white, big beautiful eyes.

If you believe In miracles and don’t believe in Juju then you have a problem.

For those that don’t believe in the 2 above, especially those saying juju doesn’t exist, I just hope you are saying that to feel safe about your self.

I dont want to bore you with random stories/experiences cus you wont believe anyways! But I just hope you do not experience the bad side.

Those that say why are soliders not using juju, ask your self why you are poor when there is money.

But if you are not just chasing clout to say ‘There is nothing like JUJU’ when you are free, come and quote me here and I will direct you to a baba in IJebu Igbo, you’ll probably come and spread the word.

To crown it all, there is something called Jazz, Juju or what ever you want to call it. If you don’t believe, you just have to keep quiet.

What if the white came with their own juju, I mean you must have heard about the burning of witches in Europe.

Or

What if your African brothers sold out like always? Nullifying the juju for money. I mean, if they could sell their brothers to slavery, what can't they do for financial returns?

I really don't believe in those stuffs not until my third year in the Uni when I went for a fieldwork in one of the border town(Igboho) in Oyo State Nigeria.
There, I met this boy not even up to 20years as I and my colleague were discussing about the mountains in the town, the boy told us he can lift one sizeable mountain with just reciting incantations and we just look at him like a dunce, even laughed at him until this boy do the unthinkable.
He recited some incantations and just like a flash the mountain lifted up a little like hung for some seconds and went down again, I was dumbfounded and till now I just can't comprehend it.
The boy later told us that people do come to his father when they're having legal issues and his old man will do something and hide it under the mountain, he further told us if it's accomplished, that's the end of the legal battle.
It's weird but it's real.

This one gidigan ni ooo. You couldn't believe what you saw that day the same way I can't believe what I just read... True true, I know say juju dey wella being a proper Yoruba man but this moving mountain own pass my level of comprehension

I would disagree, the man may not a scientist, but he is a great business man and innovator, an edge case of humanity. From creating PayPal, to making electric cars viable, to reusable self landing rockets and much more.

But back to the topic.
What makes you think the contribution of such people comes from a supernatural or spiritual place and how does it relate to juju/jazz?
