Not all banks deduct these charges you listed out here
moreover it depends on the type of account you opened with these Banks

You sound like a banker.

The best thing is for people to switch to all these digital banks to avoid some of these meaningless charges

Digital banks like kuda, Mint, rubies are still better than some of these useless ones

Now you are talking

OP, open a Standard Chartered account and you'll never regret it. No charges. Everything is free and the actually gives interest on the amount in your account.

I haven't received alert SMS from GTB since 2 months now, but they've been charging me between N300 to N500 for services not rendered.
I've moved to zenith Bank and I am not regretting it, YET

I transferred N40k from GTB to Access Bank.

I was charged for the transfer and the person received N39.9k.

N100 was deducted

How do you explain that?
Ask Segun Agbaje, & Herbert Wigwe they will be in a better position to answer.

You haven’t received alert from GTBank in 2 months, that means no transaction on the account in 2 months? Is it a current account?

So which bank can you advice me to join that doesn’t extort customer like those three banks ?
I've never worked in a bank, so I won't be able to recommend one.
I've used UBA amongst the bank you listed, but I closed the account for some other reason, not for charges.
I always ensure that I follow up with CBN updates from time to time, so I don't let any bank pilfer my account. Anytime I noticed a discrepancy, I contact them either through email or SM to demand for an explanation, if I'm not satisfied or I think I can get a better service elsewhere, I close the account.
I've opened and closed 3accounts with Skye Bank at different times. I opened and closed an account with Diamond bank in less than a month(2weeks).
If you see any charge different from CBN stipulated charge, contact the bank, if not satisfied, contact CBN complaint department and copy the bank, you are bound to get a revert.
*** And I think it now comes with interest.

How then do I get charged N300-N500 for SMS? In and Out transactions happen on that account at least 10 times or more every week

Yes, like GTbank charging me N300 monthly plus some hidden fees without sending me alerts. And the N300, when I log into myninternet banking, it says it's for sms. That's broad daylight robbery. It's a savings account and not much transactions happen on it. This simply means they charge arbitrary fees or they charge for even their adverts sent through sms.

To make it worse they never send alerts for these deductions. They are a theiving bank. Simple!

Their live chat feature is no more working for me so I have to call them. No need. I'll simply move my money to banks I can trust.
₦300 for SMS in a month means 75 transactions took place on the account. Anything different from that, they should be able to explain, request for your statement of account for that month.
I'm the type that will request for an explanation over my 1kobo. So don't sit and watch, you don't have to go to the banking hall. Challenge them on twitter if not satisfied, copy CBN

You don't mean it.
Hope you read where I wrote if you have anything different from what I wrote above, you should demand an explanation from your bank?
All bank charges are regulated by CBN. Go to CBN website if you need any clarification
Please, I had an issue.

I opened a corporate account with Diamond (now Access) bank with N10,000.00 initial deposit. Within 24hours, we had a torrential downpour of SMS from the bank. After a lot, we had N8,000.00 left(some charges were paid in cash)

After about a month, another downpour. This time, the balance was completely wiped out and the balance slides into negative.

As if that was not enough, the bank had to call that we should make another deposit to enable them recouped their fun.

Throughout all these, no single transaction occured on the account.

I'm referring to e-statement. I don't need paper statement except an organisation request that I submit one.

I would have loved to try that but trust me I will finish the money myself without saving anything again undecided undecided
The same bank that used to give us interest for saving our money with them has now turned to instruments of all kinds of taxes and extortions by this insensitive govt. I'll rather finish the money myself than living it in the hands of banks to gradually in the name of taxes.

*Nigerian Banks have finished this Nation!*

They are silent killers and unarmed robbers.

If you're in doubt, below are series of charges always placed on innocent customers in a single banking transaction.

1 VAT.
2. Account maintenance charges
3. SMS alert charges
4. Transfer charges
5. Postal STAMP DUTY charges
6. Weekend charges.

Now, the Apex bank, the unarmed robbers' boss introduced a CASHLESS ECONOMY whereby everyone does not need to carry cash for any transaction.

The problem is this: I am Cement Trader. The landing cost of a bag of cement is #2,550 while we sell #2,600. That is a profit of just #50 per bag of cement.

Now on every 2 bags of cement, a customer transfers #5,200 into my account due to CASHLESS policy and my profit is #100.

To my amazement, the bank deducted the following on that transaction!

1. #53 transfer charges.
2. #100 Postal STAMP duty.
3. #6.98 VAT.
4. #76 SMS alerts charges.
5. #93.13 account maintenance charges.

If that was not enough, on every single transaction, both account FROM which money is being transferred and the account TO which money is being transferred were charged for same transaction.

If you're in doubt, find out by requesting for your account statement.

Don't forget the bank had already laid off and reduced number of staff due to self service banking system o because more customers don't have to visit banking hall for transaction again.

So. Amount being paid on salaries and allowances of staff has dropped.
Did the CBN Governor or FED government know what they are doing at all.?

Or it was a deliberate act of exploiting the poor citizens?
So, we are now being tricked, enslaved by Government and the Bank?

This government will still come and collect income tax, trade permit at both state and federal level.

Who do we offend in Nigeria for us to have such extremely bad leaders, worst agencies and bad Nation like this?

No wonder businesses are folding up and liquidated on daily basis!?!

No wonder people now bury cash in cemeteries and farms?
Our Senators and House of Rep members who are supposed to be vanguard of the common people are not but a curse as well.

Who will put an end to all this injustice?

While I run around in the rain and sun for business to survive, the bank management just sit back in air conditioning and relax to feed on our sweat.
Very soon, they will complain of shortage of cash in circulation because people will find alternative savings and security for the cash.

*Please, kindly help repost until it gets to the appropriate authorities to end the Nigerian Bank madness.*

Nigerias lawyers do something about this above-mentioned

sad bro .. I share ur thoughts and pains but maybe we can do end banks now### lol just kidding
