It is an old myth for ancient batteries. Nowadays batteries can rest on any foor without self discharge.

It's not about self discharge, it's about varying temperature of the battery and placing it off the floor will reduce that possibility.

Hello,
Please i use a 1.5KVA/24V Solar Hybrid Luminous its working very well
I intend to add 2 extra batteries. I know charge time will be longer for 4 batteries as against 2 batteries.
Please can it Charge it well without any adverse effect on the inverter or batteries?

Am using a 1.5hp and my 3kva hybrid powers it comfortably with my GenPal AC running. So you should be fine with a 2kw hybrid (that has a 2x surge)

What does an external charger look like for an inverter. My generator doesn't charge my inverter.

The inverter is 24v DC.
My observation from the display info is that on generator, the voltage never gets to 24v. It keep fluctuating between 23-23.7v, frequency is higher than 50hz usually 51hz, mains supply is between 220-230v.

What can be done to fix the low voltage issue from the Gen. Could it be the size of the wire I am using for the supply?

A clamp meter would v determined the charging current possibly to check if it is enough to charge up the battery.

Check if there is a possible partial contact between cables and batteries' terminals

A voltmeter is also needed to check if it reads above 13v ( charging) or above 24v (charging) and below these mean not charging.
