@Whyna, after searching and searching about how to get the Vietnam work visa, I finally found some but they sound suspicious.

I've spoken to like ten of them but I'm still not convinced. What I noticed is that, most of them told me they are going look for job for me and get me an accommodation ($150 a month). Lol...the offers looks too good to be true. I'm still skeptical about it. This thing no easy o. I'm thinking of not going for my NYSC and place all my focus on this journey.

Some of them sent me some documents but they are not convincing enough.

To all who got scholarship, big congrats to you guys.

My advise, hustle and get your plane ticket money. For BTA, if you see $500, with the scholarship, you're good to go for 6 months sef but if you can, hold 500-1000. It's still your money and you won't have to worry about anything for a looking time.

Then get food stuffs and other basic things from Nigeria so you don't start spending when you get here.

Again, congratulations!

If funds permit, y'all can meet up, plan and travel together. HCMC is far from you if not, I for come pick Una from airport

A first timer cannot get a temporary residence card. You get a visa first, then when it expires, you can apply for TRC

$150?? What province biko? Is it shared apartment? Best thing is to book a o e week accommodation which can be done online. Withiin that one week, you will find an apartment that suits your taste within an area you like

One more thing, if it's an African you're talking to, be extra careful. Those guys have sweet mouth like Yaba boys till you ask for proof that they are genuine.

They will tell you things that even you did not ask for.

Hi guys.

I have been a silent follower of this thread. I want to say a very big thank you to @WhyNa for sharing her experiences with us.

For me. I'm tired of this Nigeria and Vietnam seems like a nice place to live but I'm not sure about going there to teach. I completed my NYSC this year and taught in a school and from that experience, I don't think I enjoy teaching. I'm a business kinda guy. And tech inclined.

I have some tech skills which I offer as a freelancer and make money from. I like buying and selling of tech devices. I'm not sure if vietnam is the right choice for me.

I studied Biochemistry and would definitely be pumped about moving to vietnam if I could get a scholarship to study at MSC level.

At least if business or work no sweet me, shey I Sha know say I dey study. Lol

Is there anyone looking to study at MSC level in vietnam with scholarship of course?

I sensed it. He sounds like a Ghanaian. He said the apartment is located in South Ho chi min.
I've spent my time familiarising with some Vietnamese. One said the border won't be opened until 2023...I countered that sha make she no go give person HBP grin

One asked me to marry her to bring me over (is that no a crime?) kiss
Tho, I asked her to help me look for genuine agents. I'm thinking of sending my docs to her when border opens to help me apply for jobs so that I can get a permit.

hello.

I just want to answer your question, it's not a waste of time. You can't know what the future holds, you may end up abroad and back in Nigeria to lead a government agency, you will not be allowed. Remember Kemi Adeosun, I'm sure she felt the same as well (thinking she's based in UK and doesn't need to serve), but she later had to resign as minister of finance, remember the scandal it caused her.

it's better to have an NYSC certificate and not need it, than need it and not have it.

just focus fully on the opening of their border, time will help in this matter and a year from now, I'm believing things would have been better, you'll just keep saving money as WhyNa suggested.

Note:- it's not my business, I'm almost in your shoes, so I know what that wait for service is like.

WhyNa, I hail ooo...stay safe and as usual I'm ghost following....

Lol. Thanks for the advice bro. This wait is getting annoying, I've been waiting since last year.
On the long run, I'll have to go for it and prepare myself more. With the way things are going, the border won't be opening anytime soon.

I saw someone that want to help me do the visa around 900k, though work is not inclusive.
My question now is:
1. if I get to Vietnam, will I be able to see job(IT). I'm into data analytics job.
2. Let assume the person did just a year visa, What is the probability of getting a visa renewal?

Oga don't waist that amount on agent. Does that amount include air ticket and accommodation?
Visa on arrival is $50-$120.
Air ticket is between #350-#400k depending on dollar rate.
Accommodation for the month like $150 dollars.
Authentication of documents + or - #50,000

It might be hard getting an IT job but not impossible depending on the city you choose to travel too, Hanoi or Danang is popular with IT but doesn't mean they will easily employ you mostly due to language barrier and other things.

If you eventually get a job the organization you work for can help you renew the Visa.

This price is outrageous, accepted. But, he can't get visa on arrival, he might even get sent back.
Vietnam immigration are so corrupt that they partner with agents so that they can get their returns from every processing fee.
I spent a week searching for agents, some sounds legit while others wants to rip you off. Some wants to scam you (want to scam a naija guy..Leemao grin cheesy)
I met native speakers working in Vietnam and Thailand, they explained how they got their visas and how much they are paid. Best thing is to know someone there before giving your money to a stranger to process visa for you. Call the agent, video call and make sure you get all his/her information.

Good afternoon all
Please does institutions from Vietnam send the student visa to the embassy directly or to the applicant?
At what point does one send documents to the school,is it after making of the registration payment or before the payment??

Below is the response from the school

As my latest email, you should know where you want to get the visa. And you tell us the address, we will send the reference to the place by fax. And after that you can get the visa and flight to Vietnam to study.
If you are certain to study in ***, please transfer the application fee (40$) to ***(Some words in Vietnamese, you should keep as I give you(please what does this mean)

Please i need urgent response

What the wrote there is just for decoration if you apply you won't be granted, As a Nigerian you need a sponsor in Vietnam to help you procure a Visa that's why an Agent over there is needed.
