My friend did for 10k in Alagbon. The price is not fixed. It solely depends on your bargaining power. I did for 6k 3years back.

Good morning everyone. I dont know who have experienced this before. WES has sent verification to UNILAG about three weeks ago now but no response yet from the school. Can you please help on what to do?

Call the contact given on this platform, I went through same, he can tell you if it has gotten to Unilag or not, Also bombard WES with numerous mails and Twitter messages. School will keep telling you they haven’t received it. I think the mix up is from WES, I might be wrong.

Hello guys, My WES estimated completion date for my BCS certificate is on Thurs 8th Oct, that would be a day after d draw. Any chance it can be sent to me before then. I really wanna get my ITA next month. Has anyone received his own before the estimated date?

Thanks
Yes, I did. My friend also got hers before the estimated date. The thing is no matter what happens, you gotta keep an open mind. Yours may come before then and it may not, just be very open minded about it so it doesn't weigh you down. I pray it comes out before then so you can get your ITA.

Thank you, Develop and deploy applications. Also, I saw Software Engineers and Computer programmer and media... The media beside the computer programmer is why I am thinking it might not be the right NOC code.
The specified job duty you wrote isn't sufficient. Remember that in the reference letter which you'll be required to submit, your job duties should match with the duties under the NOC that you choose. It'll be better if the match is about 70%.

Hi folks,

Can I change my wife's primary NOC to a 1 years experience she has from 2012 to 2013 as against her current NOC which is from 2013 till now?
Our target is OINP as we just realized she has a chance with the 1 year experience which is on demand on OINP.

Hi everyone, please I'll need some clarification on work experience calculation. I have:
One year work experience in my first job
6 months full time experience in my second (will this count?)
My present experience is from Jan 2018 till date which is about 2 years and 9 months.

Can this be summed up to 4 years and 3 months?

There are other eligibility requirements for OINP. Having an occupation that is in demand in the province alone is not a guarantee that she'd be nominated, even after receiving NOI.

you only need 3 years experience to max out experience points on the crs points grid. Why bother about all the experiences

I totally understand the confusion. I'm also a Software Developer but I had to use the NOC code for Web Developers because my duties matched 75% of the duties listed for Web Developers. It's quite tricky but I'll advise you to select the NOC code that aligns with most of your duties. Don't let the job title get you confused, focus on the duties. Also, I hope you're not planning to just write "Develop and deploy applications" as your duties on your reference letter because that's too short. Those VOs are looking for buzz words, so I'll advise you to be very explicit when describing your job duties and ensure it matches what they have listed for the NOC code you want to select. Lastly, please don't copy and paste the duties they listed on their website oo. That one is straight rejection.

Decision to Migrate
I really didn’t have any spectacular reason that spurred me into undergoing this journey. I have been trying to remember any special event, but I just can’t. However, I remember hearing of people relocating and all, and decided to give it a shot. I spoke to my husband and he said some of his colleagues are doing same and they are using agents. I told him I read here that we can do it ourselves. He said if I don’t want us to pay, I should be ready to own the process. I agreed.

ECA
At that time, I only knew about WES and he quickly paid for his. The same day, I stumbled on a post I think from Iphie where she advised lawyers to use IQAS and I quickly decided to do so. Hubby’s WES was smooth. Mine was not. That is why he got his ECA almost 6 months before mine. I used a contact in school who seemed to know it all for my transcript. However, she mistakenly sent only the transcript without accompanying documents. As usual, IQAS won’t respond to you till they receive full documents, and even at that, they usually delay in acknowledging receipts. When I heard nothing from them, I bombarded them with mails and they finally informed me they only have transcript. I was so shocked and quickly called the contact. Anyway, I quickly faxed all the accompanying documents, and that is when the real count down started.

IELTS
I asked a friend how long is needed to prepare and she said two weeks. I practiced for about that time. However, during the writing exam, I made an error I later realized. I got ready to take the exam again. However, I maxed out all the areas except writing that I had a 7. So it was only one ielts from me and spouse. I have seen people I consider very brilliant writing multiple times, so this was just grace at work.

When my ECA came out, my points without hubby’s ielts stood at 444. Shortly before my ECA came out, people received ITA with 438 so I felt he would not really need to take it. During my birthday, I lost 5 points. sad

Honestly, at this point, life got in the way and somehow, this project was abandoned. Occasionally, I will just check the points for a draw and noticed it had started climbing. Suddenly, the Hand that shapes the destiny of men, pushed me into coercing hubby to register for ielts. For someone who had “slept” from January I took mine till July, I cannot really explain the push. He said he was not ready, I just teased that “you know you ae brilliant na…” though I was not so confident about writing for him. Anyway, he registered, and I can confidently say we sailed on the last ship.

The day of his exam on the 27th of July, 2019, I had a program in church so decided to follow him drop him and go on my way, then pick him later. This plan later saved the day. If he had gone alone, or if we went in different cars, that would have been it. Remember I said that ielts was the last chance for us. What happened? As we got to airport road, that was the day air force officials decided to block the road to do their exercise. I mean total closure oooo. The nerve! We were stuck. That day, I saw flight attendants walking in confusion, people carrying their luggage to make their way into the airport. As I was not the one driving, I quickly jumped down, ran to look for a bike. They were not in sight at all. I finally found one that took 4k from Airforce at airport road to GRA, Ikeja. He left while I stayed put for hours, till they opened the road. If he was the only one, this won’t have been possible.

His result came out and he scored 6.5 in writing. I recall asking him why he wasted points in listening. He should have saved the 0.5 for writing jo. I told him to get ready to retake but he said no and I said he must o. As soon as the result came out, I quickly went to MOD office on the 15th of August to pick up the TEF. I kept wondering why I felt the need to be urgent. I picked on a Friday and there was already a draw that week, so why the hurry? When I got it, I could not access my profile to update. I did not know about clearing cache and all then, but I kept trying. At a point, I asked someone to help me, and I was on the phone while she did so. Again, I did not realize why I felt the need to hurry.

When she was done, we stood at 457 and I was like let me chill and get ready to convince him to write ielts and possibly write myself to max the last 3 points. In short eh, we argued about this over the weekend. Surprisingly the next week, a friend asked if I had gotten ITA and I was shocked. He insisted that there was a back to back draw with 457 and I was shocked. My husband’s exam was the last before this draw. Just like that, at the final chance we were given, we got ITA with the exact points that was the cut off. Since then, 470’s have become the old 450’s that made people super confident.

With the way scores skyrocketed, even with him doing ielts and me maxing out on the last 3 points, it would have been impossible to get ITA without learning French. I would have also regretted the months we just abandoned the whole thing. But this was God apparently.

I shared earlier my concerns about medicals and how I put in so much to help us ace it. When he was invited to do x-ray the second time, my heart sank as this was the same “life” that made us abandon the project. However, it was a smooth sail and we got mep in 21 days.
There was a mild drama on my part during medicals. I was preparing for a very important exam in then, and my passport was with the embassy. I was so consumed at the exam preparation that I could not think well. When I remember how I had to combine this process and that exam without breaking down, I am grateful.

A night before the medical test, I tried organizing my documents and stated searching for my passport till I remembered I applied for visa. I sha took a copy and went to Qlife. They told me they will indicate I did not come with original passport and I asked them to go ahead. I wrote an LOE, explaining everything with proof of the exams and evidence the passport was with the embassy and I felt confident. I believe with good explanations, they will always bow to the voice of reason. Someone even advised I decline ITA because of it. As if it is bought in the market.
After we did biometrics, we heard nothing at all.

MERCYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

I became worried and from time to time, I would check all documents. From webform, my eligibility was not yet passed as at February and I wondered why. I tried to be careful oooo, honestly I did especially regarding documents. I was so sure it would be void of error, but you see, no matter how careful you are, you are still human.

As usual, one day I checked again and I saw it. I saw the error in saving document. I realized I submitted only letter of consent to use hubby’s funds without attaching the two TBill certificates. The meaning of this is I had no POF. I was shocked. Ha, I beat myself silly cry. I blamed hubby, I told him I begged him to take charge when my exam preparation got tense.

How then did I go through R10 and all? Why wasn’t I rejected since or mercifully sent an ADR? I raised webform, sent the documents and ordered GCMS notes. Now this is the miracle!!!

I don’t know but many officers passed my POF. I kept seeing “minimum funds- Met” and “Eligibility passed” This went on and on and on till one officer noticed it at the tail end, and included a note that indicated an error in previous eligibility reviews. She then inserted funds not met and parked the file. We know how serious POF is. She could have sent a rejection. I have seen people rejected for less issues than this, but my file was parked and status read RR. Please, do not neglect the place of ordering notes. It does not make you desperate at all. You may be saving yourself from terrible heart ache by doing this.

Hmm, I started reading about review required and how long it takes for them to touch the file. I saw people that had time line of 15 months before their files were picked. It was one sad tale after the other.

I quickly sent another webform, drew their attention to the fact that the amount on the two Tbills, were the exact amount indicated in the consent letter. I profusely apologized for the error and blamed myself. I told them I knew the cost of the error is rejection (can you beat a man who is already beating himself?” I showed SOA that showed how the funds entered when the bills matured and how it was invested (It is good not to touch your POF o, don’t gamble at all”. I now started waiting.

This was in April. In May this year, I applied for another GCMS and realized status was still the same. From it, I saw they had not even treated my web form. It showed “unable to verify funds” I was so worried over the weekend. I wrote another LOE, a stronger one at that and submitted the next Tuesday. On Thursday, before they even acknowledged receipt, I received RPRF request. From my notes, they did not even receive my last letter before sending the request. The time from when I applied for the notes and when I received was when they actually reviewed my file again.

I was so overwhelmed and thankfrul to God. It was so humbling to see God at work, shielding us from that kind of error. With the Covid and all, I removed the whole thing from my mind. Using my human estimation, I felt when they resume for outlanders, they will start with those who were approved since March before mine that as at May, I just paid RPRF and from the notices, it just showed they received a document named RPRF.

I have not recovered from the shock of receiving PPR. How? There have been others with longer AOR dates, many were approved long before mine, but mercy spoke. He made me the first to receive PPR on this part.
I know He will perfect the rest of the plans.

Thank you nairaland. The wealth of resource here is mind blowing. You cannot get it wrong by investing worthy time, reading through the parts especially page 1. I knew absolutely nothing about this, I did not join any WhatsApp group. All I knew, I got from here.
I am expecting more positive news from many others this week.
