Hi guys. This post is to give hope to those with AIP. Below is my profile:
Applied July 25
Received AIP August 5
Received Medical Request August 6
Passed Medicals August 14

Applied for gcms notes on August 23
Biometrics August 28
Received notes September 16

Apparently my note shows eligibility passed. I applied for the notes before doing my biometrics which was why it hasnt reflected in the notes.

Though I want to ask if there is anyone familiar with the notes that can explain what that 2023 date means and also the remark stated.

I also noticed in the notes that an OPR correspondence has been created since the day my AIP was sent. Apparently because of covid and probably because I haven't done my biometrics then, it hasnt been sent to me.

I wish everyone success. I hope this relieves someone. Sorry for the long post.

Hello, please see my response to your questions:

1. Whether 8m would be enough is subject to your tuition and living cost. Where is your school? How much is rent for a year? How much is your tuition fee? You need to show the officer that you have enough funds to cover for at least a year, and you'll have extra left. Just don't give them any chance to think you would need a part-time job to survive.

2. You would need to have a strong SOP and explain how you got your entire POF in a space of one week. Has your account been having such inflow and outflow before now. I'd advise you convert those funds to Fixed Deposit of T-Bills.

Again, this is no guarantee, just an advice.

@greis1

Thanks for your advise and insight.

My Tuition for 2yrs of the program is 13,000 CAD + CAD10, 000 Intl differential.

The school is Cape Breton University, Sidney Nova Scotia; annual rent is about CAD7800.

Nastan:
My good people of Nairaland, Calvary greetings to you all!

I have come again for your worthy advise as usual.

I am going for a 2yrs baccalaureate Diploma, commencing in Winter term, and I'm planning to submit my application for Study Permit anytime next month. But my worries are:

1. Whether 8m is adequate for proof fund

2. The said amount came into my accounts on 26th Aug (3m) and 2 Sept (5m), in two savings accounts I maintain in different banks. By the time I will submit my SP application, the funds would be barely a month and 2weeks in my account.

Please will it have negative implication on my application?

Note: My school didn't demand for any tuition deposit but I intend paying my first semester fees of about 2.2m (CAD7,660) and attach same to my Student Permit Application.

I will appreciate advise/suggestions on the above.

Thanks

As it stands, it looks like any fall applicant who submitted before September 15th without AIP or Medicals is outright denial.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Sanovsky007(m): 12:51pm On Sep 16, 2020
didnt get AIP, yes I did upfront medical and it was updated to passed

librangyps:

Wow! So you got AIP and medical request, completed your medicals and still failed eligibility?

Or you got just AIP and did medical without medical request?

Please kindly clarify.

please when applying for your notes, particularly when completing the consent form, did you have to complete the parts for designated representative or related individuals information. P.S I am a single applicant. mentioned my dependents in my form but not that they will be coming with me. for those that used buddy, please advise

Hello house,
The spate of updates in the negative is frightening.
1. Are are those who are getting updates scheduled for Fall, Sept. 2020 commencement?
2. Are AIP for if the two stage process only designed for September 2020 start dates?
3. Are there people scheduled to commit for January Winter 2021 or May Spring 2021 who have got updates, or AIP or Medical request or BVL or passport request?
Sorry for multiple questions? I'm scheduled for Spring start date

I didn't mention my dependents in the consent form cos I'm not travelling with them.

I applied for my notes August 23rd...
Nothing yet

No update yet. Still showing medicals not received. The wait is killing so even though I have AIP and received medical request (though did upfront medicals) I just want to know what my notes are saying so applied about an hour ago

Lekiboboe:

Really, if you were aware when he was filling the form, he should have asked you and then relate the Question in the forum

Yes, there is no PG.Cert in the drop down options.
Since he was going for a PG.Cert, what he ought to have selected is College Certificate not Diploma. So his selection in the IMM(SP form) has contradicted his LOA (PG.Cert.).

He should have submitted his ID Card , that would have also complimented the letter the organization gave him.

I would assume his Sponsor would be be his Dad or Mum, or Sibling since he didn't upload his bank statement due to the irregular payment he gets from the organization he works.

Please can you clarify further? I am having the same challenge, I couldn't find Post Graduate Diploma on the drop-down. What I did was to select "others".

Is there any other option I could have selected? I'm yet to submit my application, my admission is from University.
