You actually can. If it’s anything like my school that is. On the registration site there’s a space you can let them know you’re awaiting decision that you’ve applied. They’d confirm your application at UKVI and let you continue your registration.Worst case scenario I’d have withdrawn if it was rejected and I’d be refunded. The school knows all of this. So enroll. Have fun with it. I did my ID and registered for the session before visa came in.

My CAS was very late , came almost 3 weeks and half, so I decided to print a fresh bank statement to be on the safe side and I stupidly did not put my dates backward when printing , I should have printed from August 5th or 6th cry

No need they can confirm all these from the bank if they have an issue with it

Thank you for this .. some people think that UKVI are robots , they are human beings like us , even though the website says otherwise , it’s still up to their discretion to give you visa or not. I am pretty sure some people have submitted bank statements one day less than 28days and they still got their visa.

Never attribute to "discretion" what could very well be an "error", afterall, as you noted, the ECOs are human who make mistakes - which is the only reasonable explanation for why that someone, according to you, could have successfully used a statement "way before" the 28 day maturity.

It has been rightly noted here that the UKVI uses the tickbox approach in decision making, so it is in the applicant's interest to abide by guidelines in order to avoid stories that touch.

PLEASE... HELP. DENIAL OF CAS
@justwise, @mimilyrics, @ANYONE

Good evening All, I have been on silent mode for quite a while now. That is because I have been engaged in some kind of tussle with my school - Liverpool Hope University but I think it's hightime I presented my case here.

The school has refused to issue my CAS after discovering that I have 3 previous visa refusals (US Visit, Canada study and Australia visit) after my first UK master's degree. This information was requested ONLY after I have fulfilled all the conditions - Tuition deposit, DBS disclosure/Nigerian Police Character Certificate, completing an Online health questionnaire, copy of valid passport that came with my offer on April 15th, 2020 and then it's time to issue CAS and they are messing up.

My angle of argument is that if they knew that past visa refusals is a concern for them, they should have asked me about it early enough in the admission process. As a matter of fact, they shouldn't have made me an offer in the first place. Why is it just coming up? Meanwhile, I didn't take my interview with Derby serious because I felt that I already have a SURE admission with Liverpool Hope.

Here is a quote from their email to me:

"It was noted that you completed an RQF Level 7 MSc in Management at the University of Hertfordshire in 2013 and that the MA Social Work course that you have applied for is also an RQF Level 7 qualification. When assigning a CAS to an applicant for a course at the same academic level as a previously completed UK qualification, we need to justify the reasoning for this. Having reviewed your personal statement the Panel felt that this was not adequately explained in your application. Furthermore, as you already have 3 visa refusals from other countries, any future visa application is likely to be scrutinized more closely, and it is felt that your credibility as a genuine student may be questioned."

Apart from looking for another school and possibly prepare for January/February 2021, what else can I do? Although I have been in touch with the Pro VC whom signed my admission letter in the first place, presenting all evidences and documents that the school had led me on this far, she is yet to give a positive response.

NB: The £5,700 tuition/YR for international applicants was my source of attraction/motivation. Therefore, I honestly don't know where I can start gathering more than that from at this period. sad

Good evening gurus @mimilyrics @justwise et al and congratulations to everyone who has gotten their visa.
Please I just want to start this journey of uk tier 4 visa and I want to make sure I get it right. Here is my profile, graduated 11 years ago with 2:2 Bsc Geology and want to go for MSC Project Management, already applied to 4 different schools and awaiting their response , I have 9 years work experience with both private and public sector. Now to my question, i want to hear from experienced people here if my choice of course will not act as a barrier for my visa approval as I will also like to apply with my 3 dependants , am asking because I read somewhere that they see project management as a course you can study online and no need to travel to earn the degree. Please help shed more light as I don't even have any other course in mind as i do not have work experience as a geologist, project management is more of the progression for me. Thank you in anticipation of your reply.

Congratulations! You're welcome.

Okay here’s my advise based on someone’s case.
She applied to Durham and just like you, paid deposit etc until it was time to issue CAS. She was denied the CAS based on a previous medical visa refusal to the US (for childbirth). This was never an issue and was never highlighted until the CAS application period.

Despite so many back and forth, they refused to sponsor her CAS & said they did not believe she was a genuine student but only using the U.K. study route to give birth there. What happened next? They refunded the deposit and she proceeded with another university Manchester Met. She got CAS & finally, visa last week. What changed? She DID NOT declare the refusal for the Manchester Met Admission Application.

During your admission application, DO NOT DECLARE ANY NON U.K. VISA REFUSALS. If you do, you might not get CAS sponsorship! Only declare the refusals for the visa application NOT admission application.

So what do you do now? Kindly proceed with another university against January intake. As for Liverpool Hope, I can assure you that there’s nothing you can do. You will only be wasting your time to appeal.!

Your programme choice does not influence the visa decision. It’s about how your defend your choice during the interview, with clear future employment prospects.
Even if you’re going to study fishery, it’s all about your defence.

Manchester met uni's business analytics costs 15500 however they give scholarship discounts of up to £2k5 to int'l students, depending on the grade you finished with during your bsc. This equates to £13k which is not too far off from what you're looking for.

Middlesex University denied me CAS because of my past refusal after paying deposit. I applied to University of Greenwich and got my CAS even after stating I had past refusal. Try other schools

My brother it is well..this thing you are saying ehn..Sunderland did the same thing to me..
After I had spent money for flight ticket and accommodation, police certificate on getting conditional offer, they withdrew the offer becos of my visa denials and previous masters..
The thing dampened my spirits a lot.. but I still applied to other schools and got other offers..which I am following on now..

If you really want to do this program, I would advise you look at other schools for January, ..there's Gloustershire, Edinburugh Napier, Stirling (gives 4k discount if you get the offer early), Northumbria, Teeside, Chester (these last two have slightly cheaper fees I think....)
It is well..I know it's painful sha..but you will get through this..

lol Northumbria is not within that range at all.
The only university that falls within that range from your list is Chester University (but only 1 year Msc).

Liverpool Hope is the cheapest.
No university comes within their range.
So he definitely has to increase his budget from £6,000 per year or more.

Hello house @mimilyrics and other gurus in the house, please I have a question, I have been trying to pay my school fees but for the past two weeks it hasn't been possible. I've never prayed for my account to be debited this badly. So the question is
1. My money has passed 28days at the moment, can I now withdraw? Or do I have to leave it in the account till I finish all my processes. Please I need answers. Thanks

Good evening all. My husband is a tier 4 student visa holder in UK. He recently got his visa. Please I would like to make a dependant visa application. I would like to know if I am only to show 6,120GBP (or naira equivalent) in my account only or do we need to show 9,150 (for him again) + 6,120 (for me) for the maintenance funds. We plan to use my account in Nigeria.

Thank you!
