Sincerely, I think we can avoid some of these accidents. Most of our leaders have not even lead themeselves. They then visit incident scenes to show they care.

Do they care?

We sometimes walk ourselves into temptation.Some drivers are also very reckless, they even drink before or while driving.

Anyways! We need to live prepared. We pray not to die young, and we look forward to amending our ways tomorrow. What if tomorrow does not come for us?

Akaeze Accident: Gov Umahi Visits Scene, Commiserates With Deceased's Families (Photos)

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State, on Saturday, visited the Akaeze bridge, the scene of the tragic accident that reportedly claimed 30 lives yesterday.

In a statement made available to IGBERE TV by the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Francis Nwaze said the Governor who was visibly saddened by the ugly incident with misty eyes ordered a full investigation, warning drivers to always exercise caution while plying routes.

At the scene of the incidence, were personnel of the Nigerian Police, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, and Ebonyi State Emergency Management Agency.

Governor Umahi sympathised with the families of the deceased, saying, "I am saddened over this ugly incident. It is indeed devastating but we cannot question God.

"I sympathise with the families of those that are involved in this ugly incident and urge them to look unto God in this trying time as only Him can close the vacuum.

"I equally call on all the security agencies to as a matter of urgency, expedite action in unveiling the reason behind the ugly occurrence as I urge drivers to always exercise caution while plying routes.

IGBERE TV recalls that a Mercedes Benz 608 Bus conveying mourners from a burial programme in Afikpo North, Ebonyi State yesterday while attempting to overtake a Man Diesel truck plunged into the river, killing about 28 persons.

As rescue efforts intensified, 15 dead bodies have been pulled ashore while 13 are still being searched for in the resue dive as 4 were rescued alive.

no mind the fools, that's how they keep rejoicing during crisis in kaduna thinking ibos were the most victims, only to discover that Hausa Muslim even kill Yoruba Muslims much inside town, because ibos are with us in Christian dominated area of southern kaduna. So when nobody to fight they turn against the Yoruba Muslims. Now during crisis the afonjas run down to hide among us in southern kaduna.
