It was obvious stupid Government policies will make APC loose EDO u have 2 elections ahead u were carrying on like nothing in the World matters dishing out stupid policies, Inconveniencing the people and u expect they wont fight back who does that! well this is the holy truth APC better retrace their steps else ONDO will go the way of PDP too. Arrogance has been the watchword of this government they don't care how the ppl feel hunger is every where ppl loosing their jobs and u are still instilling painful policies on them in the midst of pandemic! if u don't have to give u don't take the little they have or make life difficult for them. I wIll say congratulations to Obaseki but u are not the collosus here but the people are tired of stupid government policies am sure if u were in APC u would be soundly beaten too.

Ambode was a real puccy..... a sitting governor....begging his godfather, but I think his was different. He failed to build bridges. If he had joined forces with the opposition he may have stood a chance. He still remains Mr project in lagos till date. No governor has ever built like him in the space of time given. Massive projects. Yet they kicked him out.

Obaseki has won this election because majority of APC leaders allows it.

APC lost Edo governorship election because it was choice of APC stalwarts that wants Oshiomole's power & by extension, Tinubu's influence in APC watered-down. A win in Edo will be a boost to Oshiomole, the party structure that see Oshiomole's out from being the Chairman are actively alive and not happy with his committee decisions to disqualify Obaseki.

Edo elections was decided when almost all APC governors rise against Obaseki disqualifications. The power to be in APC are fighting hard to make Tinubu irrelevant in APC major decisions.

Obaseki was very lucky to get the solidarity support of almost all governors in Nigeria who considered the trend of using party structures to denied automatic tickets for incumbent governor as a slap to their face. Obaseki was lucky that he wasn't the first, the politics surrounding Ambode lost has made a solid ground to such not to repeat itself. Ambode lost was the final straw that intensify the kicking out of Oshiomole, Obaseki case make sure Oshiomole's reign was buried.

Ooh, I forgot to add. Edo people stand for the sovereignty of their state like "Ó to gé" like "Edo no be Lagos". They made their choice and stood by it. Congratulations to the Edolites, na man you people be.

We in the diaspora are watching from afar the repercussion of this election in the lives of Common masses in Edo state...and Nigeria at large...
From the history of Nigeria politics, Naija governors usually put their best feet forward....they will do well in their first tenure so that they can appeal to the sympathy and conscience of their people to vote second in the second tenure....now that Obaseki has little or nothing to show in his first tenure, I wonder what he will do in the second tenure knowing fully well that he doesn't need your vote again...
A lot of money has been expended for this political competition and somebody somewhere have sown his time, energy, resources waiting patiently to be rewarded and be paid back for the job well done and delivered.

Someone just won an election because he came up with a political slogan, "/Edo no be lagos " not that he has done goodly to deserve another term....naija is doomed. ....we are no more voting for candidate capacity and capability, we are only voting base on political cajolery and slogan....

Anyway, edo people, enjoy your evil days ahead and I wish you ixlxl...

With all this your ranting, do you believe Ize is a better candidate? Someone who is just a political son to a thug? He is also from a failed polical party? If you don't know, Buhari is a professional failure.

What you don't understand is that, PDP will try to prove a point in Edo by performing well. If they fails, the people will vote them out the way they just did now.

We should all stand against political thugs who parade themselves as godfather and also stamp out non-performing politicians.

The progress you think sanwo-olu is achieving on that road is no different from what Ambode also did. Only time will tell.


P.S:
Ojo local government is the only local government that doesn't have any single good road from beginning to the end. Name just one road if you think I'm wrong and don't be silly to even mention Iba-Igando road or even Iyana-Era road.

Absolute balderdash! Sanwo Olu has made remarkable progress on lagos-badagry expressway even though there's still a lot more to do. Currently there is on-going works along iyanoba-volks-barracks axis. Also, Ambode left trade fair-under bridge an eyesore, something that Sanwo Olu had to come to our rescue. Now the route is pliable. So try to give honour to whom it is due and stop being an ungrateful entity

See, it is how strong and united a political party structure is that will determine the voting pattern of the electorates. Yes, it is the people that will vote but it is the party that will influence their choice of candidates.

Politics is a game of oiling the political machineries which Ambode didn't do. Fashola did that and they were the ones who prevailed on Tinubu to allow him run the second time. In Ambode's case, there was no one to bail him out.

Who could convince PDP governorship candidates to step down for Ambode?
