Yes sir I acknowledge this, but even the 27th of Nov is Black Friday, an holiday which is celebrated in over 30 state in the US. I don't know why they scheduled appointment for these days, they know better.

Black Friday is not a National or Federal holiday and thus not recognized by the embassy. The link I provided shows the official American and Nigerian holidays that the Embassy observes.

Please does anyone having previously issued us non immigrant visa try to travel recently....within the last 1 week to the usa....and was bared from boarding the flight by the airline? Was informed traveling from Nigeria is limited to us citizens, green card holders, spouses of both above and children.?

My mum arrived on 13-Sept via Delta from Lagos to Atlanta. It was a smooth trip, no issue with boarding, they did not ask her for negative PCR result as its not required for entry into the US. She only completed the health declaration from given to her onboard. She said there're many empty seats in the main cabin for social distancing. At POE, she said the CBP officer was polite, she was only asked her purpose of visit, she answered, her passport was stamped and she was out in minutes.

Note: If you're flying to US, try to get a Non-stop flight otherwise make sure you read the travel guideline between US and the country you're transiting through.

You can travel to the US with a B1/B2 visa.
Lagos airport has flights being operated by Delta, Turkish, Ethiopia, Qatar and BA on specific days every week.
BA won't allow you board except you have a British or EU passport. Don't buy ticket if you only have a visit visa for US. This may be the barring you are referring to.

I was at MMIA yesterday in a bid to get my refund of tickets purchased for a group tour to this year's UN General Assembly. I took the time to visit the airline offices to ascertain the information I posted and that of others previously shared.

Remember there is imposed COVID restriction on the UK by the USA and also, the UK has its own restrictions in effect.

To make this thread a rich and rewarding experience, do reach out to your contact to share his/her flight experience from LOS-LON-USA so we can all be armed with new info.

I just got first hand information from the person that you cant transit through Heathrow enroute US with a US cisit visa. The US have issues with pasengers from UK because of the covid. However, they can't stop Citizens and PR holders from entering the US. The person has booked a another ticket via Qatar Airways.

I'm planning to book with Turkish airlines. Would have loved delta but it's expensive. Hope no issues with Turkish entering the states?

Turkish is fine and no issues...

Just be careful booking online and selecting a day they aren't running flights yet in Nigeria.
They all have schedules. I remember Turkish Airlines is Mon, Fri and Sun only, but the online booking allows you pick Tues or Thurs...

Good evening all. Please I need some advice. I’ve been trying to complete my U.S.A. B1/B2 visa application form For 3days now. The site works good at night I observed. Now my problem is I can’t go past a certain stage. It kicks me out and says service time out. Please who has experienced this and what’s the way forward?

This has also been happening since when I started my student visa application, it kicked me out on both my iphone and system. But I have been able to bypass the worrying prompt by using a typical android tab.
Just try some other device

Hello everyone, please does anyone have an update on if there is a restriction transiting through LHR to the US.

I have a Delta airline ticket from LOS-LHR-JFK and would like to know if anyone has any recent experience. Thanks

Hello guys. I have been looking through the previous messages and have really have helpful your responses are. My question though is based on a student conference visa. If the company which hosts the events refuses to send you any letter of recommendation to attend their event but provides you with scholarship to attend, is it possible to be granted visa with out the letter of invite or recommendation letter? I need answer please

They won’t check those Documents. You getting approved depends on 1). God 2. Your profile 3. Your performance at the interview

I hope o! I really pray they don’t ask but won’t they ask for my CV too? I have read others stories and they do mention CV. I haven’t gotten a CV yet. I am still in my bachelors.
