Hello everyone,

I know this is the wrong thread but I'm in an urgent need now.

Please I need someone that sells Canadian dollars. I am unable to pay my tuition fees from Nigeria because of scarcity of dollar caused by COVID-19.

Please I need a recommendation of a trusted person who can sell CAD to me.

Thanks.

I wouldn't be so sure she needs any consent if she indicates in the birth certificate that the child is fatherless.

Afterall, what if the child was a product of rape or sperm bank?

She can put 'unknown' on the birth certificate if she's really sure she wants to cut the father out. Nobody will ask for consent from an unknown father.

She'll only have issues when getting passport from Nigerian immigration but if she insists that she doesn't know the father, there must be a way out. Maybe a letter from her father stove the child will answer her father's name.

The only issue here is that the child’s father is not unknown. I think the lady should just be straightforward. These things may seem little to many but the repercussions can be grave.

It depends on yr age and current CRS scores. If these aren't so good, then please go to the Atlantic provinces and not Ontario. There are loads of people who have been abke to get PR with one year PGWP there. They have the AIPP program and their own particular PR routes for their international students

She would need a court document stating that she has sole/full custody of the child.

Good afternoon everyone, for single moms who have gone through this process or for people who have ideas about this. (1) A friend wants to try this express entry process but she Just gave birth recently and isn’t with the baby’s father( she’s single not married) she wants to know how to go about it? She hasn’t collected her baby’s birth certificate yet and she wants to know if putting her surname on the certificate won’t have any issue with the immigration process concerning/asking about her baby’s dad??
(2) Will they ask for a consent letter from the child dad regardless of who’s surname is on the certificate? The guy isn’t in her life so she doesn’t want to even tell him anything about it, since it’s just her and her baby.
Pls so many responses will be appreciated

Good day seniors and Canadian residents. Please I would like to find out from your experiences. Now that the scores are high, how easy is it for a spouse(wife) to be in Canada with unaccompanying spouse and a child of less than a year, she has plans of working/schooling. Is it possible for the husband to come with the wife after she gets PR with just ordinary visa and live with them? And if this is possible, can he start working immediately or he has to get work permit (how long will this take?). he summary of my question is how will it be easy to cope. We don't have money for nanny. Thanks as you give detailed response

I don’t think they care whose last name the kid has tbh.
A friend went through this process. She showed them court documents that she had sole custody of the kid but they still asked for the dads consent. In her case tho the kid had the dads last name but I don’t think it would have made any difference otherwise.

Hello everyone,

Its been exciting reading everyone's story and man, I am super pumped about the prospect of joining this thread as a 'bonafide" member shortly.

Anyways, I'm here to solicit for information regarding marriage certificates in Nigeria. I am aware that this thread is the wrong one to post this, however, I am looking to leverage the wealth of information from the diverse contributors to this thread.

I recently got married during the lockdown at a Local Government Registry, followed by a church ceremony at my in-law's church in Osun state. The certificate issued from the registry bears "Intergovernmental Marriage Certificate". Shockingly, further checks on Ministry of Interior's website https://ecitibiz.interior.gov.ng/home/FAQ says's the following:

Registry Cert Header

MIN-faq

My question thus is, are marriage certificates issued by Local Government Registry's recognized by the Express Entry program, or do we consider recertifying our registry certificate with the Federal Ministry of Interior?

PS: I should add that the church, CAC, issued us their branded wedding certificate but I am not certain about its validity for immigration purposes.

Thank you.

Seniors, kindly share experience on this please.

I would like to ask this.

Has anyone migrated to Canada and worked as a Photographer/Video Editor and the likes?

All I am seeing here are white collar jobs.

Do you know anyone in such a field?

Thanks.

Hello Royalty 1,

Were you able to move to Canada through video editing? If yes, please how did you go about it.

Thank you

I applied with my child as a single parent. I was asked for and presented the following:

1. To get a Nigerian passport, she would be required to present court affidavit that the child is born out of wedlock along with a signed letter from the child's father permitting her to apply for an international passport on behalf of the child.

2. Whether the child has a different surname or the same as hers, IRCC would require her to provide a signed and notarized form stating that the father consents to the permanent residency application along with the information page of the father's passport.

3. I was also asked by AOR to state the nature of my relationship with my child's father. It is very important for her to point out, if asked, that she has never lived with the child's father as Canada considers that too as long as it's true.

If you can get a visitor’s visa(it maybe hard) and join your wife, you can apply for a work permit but only when she has started the process of sponsoring you for PR. She can’t sponsor you for PR if she’s a student. She has to be working and she must have filed tax, this will convince the VO that she’s capable of sponsoring you. If you check @infoplacecanada on IG, you will see a post on the spousal sponsorship process and you can also check the IRCC website. Staying alone here with a child and no help will be challenging but it’s do able.

This is really interesting.
For people wanting to relocate to Canada and haven't been able to meet up due to low IELTS score or even financial restrictions, there's a tested and trusted pathway, through the Rural and Northern Canada Immigration Blueprint.
It's very affordable and you can relocate to Canada and get Permanent Residence in 6-9 months.

Wow! That's a lot. Thanks for the clarification.

Just wondering. . . What happens if a woman really doesn't know the father of her child? Rape? Sperm donation? Immaculate conception?
