This was how Pharoah and Herod, enemies of God celebrated their birthdays and shed blood. Why would a man of God have anything to do with birthday celebration after reading the warning accounts in the Bible, Genesis 40:20-22; Matthew 14:6-13. This alone is a sign that this man is not a man of God as he professes, but a false prophet, and an enemy of God like Pharoah and Herod. No true servant of God celebrated their birthdays in the Bible because they know according to what God's word says that "the day of one's death is better than the day of one's birth". Ecclesiastes 7:1. That was why Jesus commanded his disciples to celebrate, not his birthday, but his death, Luke 22:19-20.
No true Christian has business with birthday celebration.

God anointed them.

Allow God to judge them

Moreover remember what Jesus says, we need to work on ourselves first, befire we work on others
How do you know God anointed them undecided undecided
By their fruits you shall know them

God will not come down to judge anyman of their evil..... God will always use people to correct their wrongs....... Correcting/crictizing is not judging......
Evil thrives when good men keep quiet over evil....

...and you did rather avoid mentioning some here to attack me. Tell us some of the good men of God according to your own standard. Simple request.

Looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our Faith.

I'm not siding anyone but encouraging you to never follow any mere mortal but rather, be a follower of Christ.

For there is no salvation in any other neither is there any name given among men by which we can be saved.

We brand mere humans "Mighty men of God" when we can't even evaluate their standing before God.

I'd rather you emulate God himself than try to attach yourself to "The servant of God"

Let me also add my 2cents.

Together with the fact that NONE as in not even ONE of God's people celebrated their birthdays.

Amongst all the festivals God commanded the Israelites to observe, there was no provision for birthdays.
So it's evident the celebration of one's birth originated with the nations.

It is also important to note that God told the Israelites not to adopt any of the practices of the surrounding nations. (Leviticus 18:30, Deut 18:9)

Happy 66th birthday Daddy. You have been a blessing to me. I am privileged to be alive in your time. And thanks for the opportunity to serve and be tutored in Cannanland.

God used you to provide the platform for so many to be lifted, one may not like everything you see and experience in Canaanland (it's not heaven, and shit happens everywhere), there's no denying the fact that it's blessing to be connected to the winners family.

As your days are so shall be your strength Sir. I key into your covenant of success.

^^^^^Produced a lot of covetous, materialistic and corrupt persons.

Keying into "covenant of wealth" (which suffered a huge setback due to Covid-19 despite tithing) instead of doing what Jesus said:

Matthew 6:32-33 (KJV)

(For after all these things do the Gentiles seeksmiley for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

So having wealth means you re not seeking the kingdom of God?
If people are corrupt it doesn't mean because of what Oyedepo preaches. He preaches and practice kingdom wealth. Stop all this your shallow reasoning, you didn't even know him as such.

You opined that riches are vanity. I want to also let you know that poverty is also vanity. Either way, you are embracing one vanity. I choose my vanity with godly sense, therefore, I embrace my own vanity - riches.
You can continue with yours - poverty!

Get behind me, ye generation of those who wish their own pastors die wretched!

Not putting up a fight with you. You told someone to mention some great men of God and all that. I was referring to that.

I felt it's necessary to draw our attention to the fact that as Christians, Christ is our only standard and him alone should guide us in our daily Christian living and not any human by any standard.

If this is your stance too, I think we are in order. Have a blest week

I didnt ask for great men of God but Good men of God since the original fóolish-moniker I was engaging has been on this crusade of fault-finding against certain preachers for years now.

It is a lot like posting ads for years but forgetting to leave a contact address to facilitate patronage.
