It's a good dream. You're ok with your 2.2. If you can afford it, I want to encourage you to go outside Nigeria for your MSc, it must not necesarily be Europe or the Americas, try South Africa, Kenya... the environment will help to bring the best out of you to be an accomplished lecturer. Shalom

Some of you dont know the up and down we went through the University to graduate with 3point, as for me if not for the financial difficulties I went through out my university career, I'm very sure I will graduate with 4point,
But honestly is not fair at all to be downgrading 2.2 students, some of them they pass with that because of circumstances beyond their control, but when they get through it, they perform better.

What's the need to just "call one's self a graduate" And you even mentioned that someone recently burnt his certificate but forgot to reason that such burnt certificate must have been a product of going to the university for all the wrong reasons, including just "to call yourself a graduate"!

Nigerians and their misplaced priorities sha.

One has not gone to school until the government says you have gone to school by issuing you a certificate.
Pls don't get me wrong...
Calling yourself a graduate is the feeling that you are certified and you have acquired knowledge.do you know what that really means?

I am not the one that burnt my certificate. I cited the popular dude that burnt all his certificate to prove a point to OP.. whether 2.1 or 2.2 or 9.7 there should be no limit to what one can achieve. if that story is true that particular dude have blown because he will not be limiting his success to his certificate anymore that alone will increase his hunger to look inwards and discover his potential. Though to the government he hasn't gone to school.

He said he graduated with 3.3. Even unilag will not require PGD for 3.3. PGD is usually for those with less than 3.0 CGPA. Get your facts right.
lautech, unilorin, futa, futo and co requires pgd for second class lower (2.2)

Do your PGD and subsequently, your master and all your sins will be forgiven! Of course, you may need to demonstrate the ability to do research by presenting some publications!
Bros, it doesn't work that way. The academic community doesn't accept nonsense.

If it helps your understanding, I have a third class grade first degree and I'm almost done with another degree first degree just because I have lecturing on my mind. If you want to lecture in a uni now please avoid a third class, an HND or an MBA. The three are not accepted academic qualifications. In addition, try to have your degrees in the same or at the very least, closely related courses. The days of old where everything was accepted is over. Standards have risen extremely high now. My intention is to be a university teacher very soon.

Don't mind that guy!
Please do not waste your time starting over, instead go for your MSc immediately. While doing your MSc, make sure you learn how to make academic publications in reputable international academic journals, do not waste your MSc project by not publishing it. Publications will give you edge over others during interview.
After the MSc try your luck at some institutions. If there is no luck and you have the means, continue to PhD, but make sure you keep publishing even on your own!
please I have HND and I also want to lecture, how do I go about it? Do you advice I do PGD and will I be discriminated in future?

You can lecture in the Polytechnic after getting your PGD and MSC done. If your dream is to become a university lecturer, my dear, you have to enrol for your first degree.

Dont let a piece of paper define you. I graduated with a 2.1 but fortunately, my company have never viewed my certificate,

I only focused on learning Coding back then in University and that is what is putting food on my table and allowing me work with some of the biggest Tech companies in the world and travel to various countries.

Focus on creating value and improving your skills.

If you want to become a lecturar, aim to be the best lecturar nigeria has ever had and you will realize that your 2.2 cannot even stop you.

Regards
Good evening bro, please guide me on how I can also learn coding.
